I came on this forum to get info, which I got. In return I'll post some info of my trip that might help out any future travelers. Yes my trip dates have changed, been pushed back a month. Ill be in Colombia April 11. 27. 1200 dollars will be my budget. And no I am not going to Medellin, Cali ect. Only going to Cartagena, Baranquilla, and Santa Marta. That might be a tight budget for you but it isn't for me. 80 bucks is plenty. Obviously if I was planning on paying females 100 for sex everyday, eating out at restaurants, staying in nice hotels / condos than yea it would be a REAL tight budget. Not pretending anything buddy. Been to Mexico, Brasil, and Costa Rica on similar budgets and did just fine (fucked girls, partied, hell even got some casino time!) Ill leave the all inclusive cruises to teens and old people. Thats not my stezz if you know what I mean. PS tickets have already been bought. Actually had to pay to get the dates changed.

First off hats off to hillbilly. Some of the best pics I've seen on here in a while. Now I'd love to hear some stories about the different girls!

Actually surprised to see some of those girls on the beach in Cartagena as I rarely see a ton of talent on the beach. Especially of the more fair skinned Paisa variety.

Maybe because I have only been there February / March which is low season. Although perfect weather for me.

Second. Why are people getting so excited about other people's budgets? We all come from different backgrounds and have different definitions of a good time. All I care about is that people aren't rude and never just let people overcharge them because they are foreigners. The older and more successful I have become the more I tend to spend. Less tolerance for: lower rate apartments, working too hard to pick up a non pro or constantly bargain shopping. However, I guaranty you I would have a much better time on a 50 dollar a day budget in Cartagena than on 200 a day in the midwest in March / April.

We don't have to assume that people are picking up pros everyday. I know that I had sex 18 of the 20 days I was in Colombia and only paid on 3 occasions. You can pick up non pros in Cartagena and if you have some game and are good looking and can dance you can even pick them up in regular bars (not needing to set it up during the day or online). Also some nights its just great to chill and get away from the hectic life. Average out those nights with the more crazy nights.

If they are truly non pros it really shouldn't be that expensive. Over my trips I have been with about 7 non pros and the only ones that ordered expensive things were the pros in disguise. In fact the 3 non pros I was with on this last trip always ordered the cheapest thing on the menu whenever we went out. I had to insist that they order more or better options.

My only caveat to the non pro is that the super hot Cartagena non pros aren't that plentiful and will be very difficult to pick up. I don't think this is the case in other cities.

Finally, I have seen instances where a working girl went home with someone knowing there was absolutely no money involved. Happened to a friend of mine on the last trip.

Now lets hear some good stories!

Don't really care how much money people have in their budget. I have friends who are rich, friends that are poor. I took a relative with me to Cartagena recently who was much younger than me. He had awesome time spent 600 dollars for the week had 5 or 6 girls and had time of his life. He is going again soon, [ I am certainly going to hell ], but he had very nice chicas there including a LDV and Electra girl. I won't get into my travels I want to be low key on this site, I only want to share info which is same reason I ever want to be on boards.

Hats off to Jackson for taking off moderation in Colombian Forum it makes things alot better.

Had the pleasure of seeing Hillbilly on my last trip. Great guy, good experience in Colombia, bonita paisa with him. You can do Colombia a multitude of ways depending on what you want to spend. I am heading for Cartagena today, then Cali on my monthly trip. Haven't missed it for 10 years but before long I will retire my dick with Willy.

I just don't appreciate people attacking young guys who aren't millionaires going to Cartagena trying to go on trips and having a good time.

I not a big enough smug prick to play Class warfare with people with less money or time than me, I leave that up to others.

I'd like to visit Cartagena but have been put off by the prices. I'd love a few tips on how to manage it without overpaying for things.

By the way try to rent the anthony bourdain video about Colombia. He visits a little island about 30 minutes from the beach. Inhabitants are all black and fresh lobster is served caribbean style. Has anyone been there?

Sidewalks in Laguito still run down as is the sidewalks in Bocagrande.

LDV is sill there and Electra is hopping between 3am and 430 am. So freelance bars are still alive and well.

Centro slowly but surely is getting fixed up a little bit more each trip and seems to have a few more small stores and Hotels popping up.

From the sound of things, I guess I haven't run into her because I haven't stopped-in Isis. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the time I asked for her info was back during the early Summer of 2009. Time sure flies. I thought she was fun, laid back, good both in and out of the cama. cartagena was a fucking blast this last trip. my younger relative being with me helped and fact that locogringo and speedbump were there made it that more enjoyable for me also. we had a mishap at the barranquilla carnaval but i warned my relative in advance and he wouldn't listen, but he is going back soon, all the girls liked him better. lol.

as for me cartagena is just another stop, i mix it up between cali, medellin, santo domingo, santiago and the north coast of the dr.
