What's your point LOL.
The point is lyrics were far better back in the 60's and 70's than now. Pretty simple conclusion.
And, for the record, Barry received the Nobel Prize for Peace. Not Literature. I think there is a small difference, don't you?

Peace? Literature? Art?
Even the stem categories have been tainted by politicization.
Some mighty good singer songwriters in the US now. Ever heard Jason Isbell?
Yeah! 4 Grammy's and counting. I am not saying there is no talent these days, just that music from back in the 60's and 70's appeal to me more.
I also think this has something to do with swarming of content. Today there is so much content on the net it is impossible to get your hands around all of it to make an objective assessment of who is really the best. I am sure everyday millions of songs must be slipping past me unheard. Back then, one would wait for the single to come out and then the album and then the tour.
Any updates? Is it even operating?
Many of us have always been irked that many places play music the gals like and not music the patrons like. .
I disagree with this. What's better? Music to get the girls revved up so they lap dance on you for free or music that some dude at the bar prefers to listen to that puts the girls to sleep? Give me the music that gets the girls going. If I enjoy T-Rex or The Beatles I can listen to it all day at home. I go to bars for one thing only. GIRLS! Surely I hope guys don't really avoid bars with the best looking fun girls because they don't like the music.
If you like old music go to G clubs like Kinnaree and Camel Toe in Pattaya. They play music like The Byrds and Elvis. Same songs every time you go, over and over again. You can sing along with the Thai girls cause they hear the songs so often they know all the words.

" I've always felt like music should be about the customer. And no, don't want to hear the same songs over and over again. That was the great thing about Cactus. Sometimes some classic rock, then The Clash, The Ramones, some Wilco, etc. I went to bars to hang out with my mates, drink, and then take a gal. The gals were always a fixture, but sometimes it was just about hanging out with the dudes. That is what GoGos have lost; the excellent social element they used to have.

One has to follow blogs, etc. I too really enjoyed music from the 60's, and in the 70's and 80's when I was growing up. It was amazing waiting for that album and the the tour. And it will never be like that again. That being said, I hear some great stuff now.
I should have snuck a photo from distance of the skinny beauty I liked. Then we would have to debate if was same one. I recall jean shorts I think and very pretty face.
Prettiest hooker in all Asia is a bit ridiculous. None of us are likely to be able complete such a survey. However I will say that one glance at her, and no thought required from me. Drop dead hot and gorgeous. From a glance I would score the face a 9 points. All natural, nothing fake looking about her at all. Being deaf, who cares?
I think I first saw her early this year or late last year. Yes mostly off more than on. Could have been below age. I don't know. I have certainly done below age girls before, but not on purpose. I just did not realise, especially when some on them are mothers, you just don't think of it.
If she gets stampeded by too many guys, she might stop coming there, not sure. Unfortunately none of the other deaf girls can compete with her looks. Maybe will have to have a ridiculous offer ready for her next time. Ha ha
The more characterstic feature of the one I was thinking of from earlier this year, that I thought you were talking about then and I thought CzarNicholas was also talking about seeing then was her somewhat brownish blonde hair in double braids. It was not her being "skinny". To my eyes she simply looked fit and normal weight for a young girl. She did not look particularly skinny to me. And I have dated and barfined several skinny girls in Bangkok.
After that really pretty and very young one with double hair braids disappeared from the area, maybe 1-2 months ago, another girl with similar hair color and style (double hair braids) started working the same spot in front of the Nana Hotel sign who looked vaguely like the previous girl, could almost look related, but was not nearly as young and pretty. She is just acceptable, imo, nothing more.
I still see that latter girl showing up in front of the Nana Hotel sign almost nightly. Rarely gets approached or taken. But she is still sporting the same hair color and style of the earlier but now missing stunner from late last year or earlier this year.
Maybe what threw me off from thinking you are referring to the one I was talking about is there IS a skinny newish deaf girl working the area. I guess I assumed you were talking about her ("skinny"). But she has dark brown or black hair and I have never seen her wearing it in braids. I have also not seen her face up close enough to opine whether she is very pretty or not. And there was another noticably skinny one from way back, more than a year ago, who I believe does still pop up every now and then. I thought you might have been referring to her as well.
Any updates? Is it even operating?
Yes, it is still open for business.
Any updates? Is it even operating?
Still open and packed some nights. Great music, good drink prices and aged ladies. But you can nego a good price with these ladies. They all seem to have a love of the drink. As in buy me a drink? Good luck, although you don't need it in there.
RL.
Natty, you're too popular. Please clear your PM's.
And, for the record, Barry received the Nobel Prize for Peace.
What a joke. That was the icing on the cake since Obama had been in office less than a year at the time, but that award had lost all credibility years prior anyway. Al Gore won it in 2007 for Christ Sakes. I'm not sure which one is less respected these days, the Nobel Peace Prize recipients or the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
