I had no problem driving my SUV around the place and if I had gone to La Colmena first (at 4:30 pm) I'd have felt safe enough to leave my car at the parking lot, walk to the club and walk back to my car an hour later; then I'd have habppily gone to Las Sirenitas and have no problem staying there another hour.

Yes, I'm a very Peruvian-looking old, short, fat, 60 yo cholo, but even if it is not evident for a foreigner, my manners do betray me as an outsider in that neighborhood. Or maybe I'm just not adventurous enough. Still, I'm perfectly at ease in El Trocadero or Las Cucardas or Las Sirenitas or even inside La Colmena, but LOS Taladros street gives me a bad feeling. Maybe it's just me.

This review is long overdue.

In the last 12 months, I've come to Lima a couple times and I've come to rely on Jockey16 for introductions to beautiful young ladies.

This time, I met with MissS who has previously been reviewed by others in this forum.

Made the trip with a girl. Stayed at Sheraton, Miraflores and also at Sheraton convention Centre. Except for tourists did not see any working girls at the bar. Went to a nearby Disco and did see girls in groups and some with families. If you are planning to go to a Disco do not go before 11 pm.

There are many areas that are not safe for Peruvians let alone foreigners. When I was working there I even had to have a police escort to go to El Agustino. And the police looked nervous. Even the backend areas of Angamos for example. A stones throw from Miraflores. Is not a "safe" place. Good street sense and spatial awareness is a requisite. Cuidate.

Night 1 just got in to Lima was trying to get someone from PK to come visit me but it was too late for them. Staying in Miraflores I walked to pizza alley where apparently it's business as usual. I don't know how it was previously but everything is opened again.
