IMO, you can't take the hooker out of the pro. No matter how much you give them, they will want more. Like others mentioned.. just look for a nice regular girl if you want to "save" someone and support them.

I think getting her the apartment in Poblado is spot on! You should probably also wire her about 2k USD / month at minimum to cover her basic needs. Things are pricey in Poblado and she may want to while away her lonely days while you are slaving away at the nice Casinos. $4k is probably more realistic to keep her covered.

Many of the remarks you have made resonate with me. The best thing to do may be to let some time pass by while I treat the pro like a queen when I am in Medellin.

Nothing wrong with helping out a pro, and keeping her on retainer for when you arrive. But realistically, these chicas know exactly which buttons to push, they are taught that from day one by mama. Especially gringos, they are the prize catch, and the girls will play you off each other. So, if you want to give her a little extra, fine, but don't set her up in Poblado or Laureles, or something, like that, she can stay in her own 'hood, and do whatever with the extra money (most likely buying stuff for her kid[s])

However, romantic relationship, regardless of successful or unsuccessful, gives meaning in life. Life solely based on economic rational is very poor. That's why we are following chicas. Plus, it seems that you are very experienced about the matter and you see good potential for the girl. I would say go ahead with your plan for that girl. You may want to start with US$6-800, apartment, and some gifts per month. As she requests, it could increase to $1. 5-2K.

The non pro I talk with in BAQ is the same way .She writes me and then I go to translate it and the Spanish words are spelled wrong. When I try to explain this to her she just gets upset and thinks she is right. I can usually understand most of the words but still it is annoying.

If she really wanted "out of the life" she would have taken some the millions she is earning and go to nursing school, graduate, and then immigrate to the US on an H1B visa. Or something. She might quit for a while but the temptation to earn easy money while she can will be very strong if she is just sitting around an apartment someone else will pay for. And her old clients will be calling her. And offering a little extra for "just one more time, " when they find out she is out of the business. And maybe she will not trust you to keep the money coming and justify a few side tricks just to "save for a rainy day. " After all, she won't have her looks in five or ten years.

I read all the reports and advice that our well meaning monger friends have given you about your question about the pro you want to take out of the business. As them I also had my share of heartbreaks spending lots of cash on pros I wanted to take out of the business just to find out they were just using me. But being that am either stupid or hopeful that there are good women out there needing an opportunity to get out of this business I am as we speak trying again with one in Colombia. The difference this time from the other ones is that she brought me to meet the family, and they welcomed me, I felt part of the family. Her mother explained the reasons my girl had to work and it was very sad, she cried of impotence and shame, seeing the way they lived broke my heart in so many pieces that I decided there and then that I would help them out not just for my girl but because of the things I had experienced with them, it was 4 families living in a 3 bedroom apt, my girl, her mom and 2 brothers slept in one bedroom just a tad bigger than a closet with just one bed.

I got them an apt and I send them money monthly for their personal expenses. The money I wasted on booze and mongering in Tijuana is now being invested in rent and food for my new inlaws in Medellin, her mom keeps me updated on how the money is spent she accounts for every peso without me having to ask. And I stay in constant contact with my girl, we talk or text 2 to 3 times a day not because I dont trust her but because she gets sad if she doesnt hear from me, I dont have any reason not to trust her. She promised me she would not go back to work and she hasnt. I know where she is at all times of the day, she gave me phone numbers to her, her aunts, uncles, cousins, both cell and home numbers, if I dont find her at home, I find her where ever she is. Her whole family knows me at least over the phone and the ones that dont know me in person are eager to meet me next time I visit Medellin in Aug. So the Moral of the story is, FOLLOW YOUR HEART, the good signs in my opinion would be, if your girl introduces you to the family , if she doesnt ask for much financially, if she tells you where to find her at any time, if you call her any hour of the day and always answers you with a smile and sounds happy to hear you she is worth the risk. Now I know our buddies will find all the flaws in my rescue plan as it is not fool proof... it is a risk anyway you look at it, but at least for me my girl is worth it, the experience is worth it and I know that she is waiting for me, as she puts it in "our own home, sleeping in our own bed".
