Or is that a no no.[/QUOTE]Have been with wife twice to BB's. There is absolutely no issue in picking up the girls. They are all over the place. Sitting out by pool, sitting around in chairs under umbrellas, at bar, etc. They will be approaching you as soon as you are checked in. Last two times we visited there they had a girl walk us to our room on check in. You will be surprised at just how easy this is. Its kind of like going to Del Ray in Costa Rica. It is just that easy. No idea about Uber. We took cabs to Sosua and just walked to the local little store which is a block away. Also for excursions they will pick you up at gate. In terms of taking the girls pics we never had one say no (but then again I was with wife who is Spanish and they always hit it off with her big time). I would not post a pic of the girls without permission, but that is just me. Hope this helps.

Depending on time of day you arrive, you can take a cab to Caribe Tours bus station, get a bus to POP for just a couple of bucks, then take cab to Costambar / BB. Only drawback is that this would be slightly more time consuming. The buses are comfortable and air conditioned. Cab from POP to BB would probably run about 700 pesos, a little under 20 dollars US. Cab from airport to Caribe Tours about the same.

If you are traveling with a friend, you could split a cab. Depending on time of arrival, you might negotiate a ride from STI to Costambar for about 70 dollars, according to some on this board.

If you arrive at night, less leverage, and you would probably pay about 120 dollars. You can contact BB and ask for a cab. I have seen on their website, they will do this now.

For photos, you can check the BB thread for pics, or request their newsletter for monthly pics, including girls.

You will have no problem pairing up with girls. Every girl on premises, apart from bar, staff, is there for sexual service. There are day and night shifts of girls. Reportedly there is a book available (not totally inclusive) of the girls working there. Just make eye contact, and take it from there. Don't be a door mat, but be polite and respectful. For a GFE, treat her like your GF.

If you have a special request, find the girl acting as "manager" for assistance. She can even call in a girl, or set up a date later with a girl from the book that you do not see there.

Always ask to take photos first. No problem with dressed or swimsuits, but girls may object to nudes, or sex pics. Avoid pics, videos of the girls that include customers. Nobody wants legal problems with spouse or job due to your posting of their faces.

HIV is not a serious problem, particularly if you practice safe sex. More importantly, would advise bringing mosquito repellent for both people. The Caribbean has a problem with the Zika virus. May not be an issue if you are single, but potential transmission to a sex partner when you return, requiring use of condoms on arrival. Check online for details on that.

As a newbie, reach an understanding with the girl as to your expectations / requirements. All should be mutually understood before going up to the room. Problems are rare, but this is how to avoid them. If you have a problem, speak to one of the gringo managers.

Just in case you are confused, Blackbeards is a long way (about 25 miles?) from Sosua. The nearest city is Puerto Plata (3 miles).

Do not change dollars at Blackbeards unless a small amount in an emergency. They give a poor rate.

Noting Mr Charles Pooter's comments, not sure what answer you got on the Sosua thread, but upon passing through a gateway into the Costambar neighborhood, you will see a grocery store on the right, called Jenny's. That is the best place to change dollars. Ask the cab to stop for a few minutes while you go inside to change money (unless you already have pesos to pay him). Suggest only changing a few hundred.

Upon arrival at BB, pay for your room with the pesos. If you pay in dollars, you pay their exchange rate. Paying in pesos will save you money. Paying with a credit card will incur an absurd extra charge.

When you need to change more, Jenny's is a 5 minute stroll from BB. You can also buy bottles of water, toiletry items, etc.

Jenny's has the best rate you will find within a convenient distance. In my opinion, a cab ride to a bank will cost more than any savings.

Quick question. Black Beards VS Campo. Dollar for dollar; girl for girl. Which wins?

All bills are paid at decent rate, you will lose about 0. 1-0. 5% comparing to Yenny supermarket. If you exchange money at BB you lose 2-3 pesos per dollar.

FKK, you pay a much bigger cover, which gives you free access to all the services they offer, except the chicas. Campo, is all a la carte. Campo is all outdoors, except for the chicas rooms, and the bar. Campo can have anywhere from 100 to 200 chicas at a time. They have a web site, with pictures, that may give you a better idea of what it is.

No matter what, it is an interesting experience, (albeit these days, only with East European women) plus the safety of it all smack in the middle of a sophisticated Germany.

I do have to say that this Campo Alegre sounds inviting though, especially the idea of living there. What are the cover charges and hotel per night fees are like?

Campo is something to experience, if you like the Caribbean, and like Dominican and Colombian girls.

Entery is only like $5. Rooms are nothing special. Its a old army barrack. I don't think many guys stay there. Maybe for a night. Not sure, though. Definitely a inexpensive room option. Hotels are a little high in Curacao. Nice beaches, good diving. More chicas in one location, than probably any venue in the world.

One thing I like is if you pick a girl, and she's a dud, cut your loss, and try another one. No pressure to "get your moneys worth".
