Single moms and other thoughts
Single moms:
In theory this is a good idea, and one that does conjure up images of helping out a lonely woman and giving her the affection she needs. It may even work, however in my experience it didnt always pan out to what I wanted.
Although I have never specifically pursued single moms I have run across a few in my time, and you are right, there are many... and many of them are still looking really great.
There are some negative aspects, or rather aspects of concern, to be taken into consideration.
1) where do you meet them? They dont go out as often as girls without children and even when they do find an aunt or babushka to watch the kids, they tend not to stay out as late. So just meeting them can be difficult, although of course it is impossible to pick them out of a crowd. I've just found that the vast majority of girls I meet have no kids... or maybe that is something that has to do with my target group. Internet is of course a good place, as this is often stated in the profile. Nonetheless, specifically targeting this group does seem to be a bit difficult.
2) what do they want? Although I am sure many would be happy with just some casual sex, the ones I have had wanted more. They really were looking for a serious boyfriend, perhaps even a husband, and usually a father for their child. The typical situation. Although my affairs with single moms all ended amicably and we shared some nice times together, this was more emotional baggage than I was prepared to carry, so I have ceased to pursue this kind of affair. My success with this group was quite ok, but it just wasnt what I was looking for emotionally, as the girls (women) were really too clingy.
If you do however go for this group, what has worked for me is the basic romantic dating approach. Provided she can find someone to watch the kids (there is usually an aunt or a babushka around), a date over dinner (doesnt have to be an expensive place, just a nice one) with some wine and a simple gift will usually do the trick and she'll be happy.... for the time being.
