So, here is an update that has nothing to do with my personal preferences about CIM.
Went to Bel Prazer on Friday. A little late for me, after 3. OMG, Nossa, it was standing room only. Standard is pretty mediocre. Lots of big buts, but doable. Wouldn't recommend under these conditions. Had a session with a newbie, but prettty mediocre.
Checked out flavia at 181 Rio Branco, 1006 and as reported, it is not open. This was at 11:45 on a weekday, so I don't know what is going on there.

I'm sorry that the complete addresses, hours, girls, bus routes, lodging, descriptions of services and pictures did not meet your expectations for 'the situation on the ground.' So here is my take on the situation on the ground. Just one guy's opinion, totally subjective, and another might take it differently but here's one way of thinking:
VM: Go there to get your monger stripes, listen to music, drink cheap beer, and have large selection of mostly lackadaisical providers to choose from. If you require a 3 star hotel or higher, you probably wouldn't like it. If you'd fuck a girl behind a dumpster and think it was pretty cool, or like realism in mongering as opposed to a Playboy mansion scenario, this is your place.
BA85: I prefer it over VM at the same price. The girls seem more interested in the mongers and it's easy to reach. I get better more enthusiastic service there.
Bel Prazer: Go there for decent service, without expectations for a looker. Bianca is the only one that I could look at and really get excited about.
Club Florida: If I could hang out in only one place in Rio, this would be it. Overall situation on the ground in Rio:
It’s great with many options, but it’s not sex paradise by any means. You have to interview hard to get what you want, prices aren’t cheap relative to what guys pay in SEA, and girls don’t *need* the money. Even now in the winter, most of the places are full of mongers and you have to wait for girls sometimes. I thought that because traffic is light and a lot of people are on vacation that maybe that would translate to light traffic in the apartments. But not the case. I also always try to go early, too, but somehow, work got in the way.
