I'm a bit of a steak snob and I prefer my Kobe beef and Hida beef. I go to Kobe and Takayama for a weekend trip just to go eat steaks.

Or are the rains quite short and occasional so for someone hoping to pick FLs every night won't really be affected a lot?

Of course in that case I had to plan around the rainshowers. The amount of rain is unpredictable as this is a tropical country, but I once experienced an absolute F L O O the in Soi Buakhao, completely with garbage floating everywhere. I don't know which hotel (so which area) you will be staying at. But if you focus on FL's on BR, I would pick a hotel close to Beach Road, which will prevent a lot of hassle?

U.S. citizen here. Entered the Kingdom visa exempt with the usual 60 day deadline to depart. The hostilities in the Mideast forced me to cancel a trip home that connected in Doha. Booked a replacement journey via Incheon, but it doesn't go until after the my departure deadline. Gotta to get an immigration extension. Never done that before.
I have prepared all the necessary documents, and I know I need to apply in person. Hoping to get some advice from guys who have done this before.
TIPS? TRICKS? DOs or DON'Ts? DRESS CODE? PROCESS FLOW INSIDE THE OFFICE? COMMON ERRORS?

Back in the day, it would rain for an hour mid afternoon, so I would sit in a bar and wait out the rain. The number of ladies is down, but the number of customers more so.
These days, the rain can be all day. So, the trick is navigating to and from the bar without getting wet.
Here's a prediction: the turnover of bars this summer will be the highest ever.
Weird news of the day: The Den on Soi Chaiyapoon closed for High Season, and is now opening for Low Season under a new name.

The lady at the desk will look over everything and if correct give you a number and you go to the next building and sit in front of the desk she tells you and wait for your number to be called. (If not, she tells you what you are missing.) Then you pay them the money and they staple the paper for the extension in your passport. (They may give you a number and tell you a time to pick it up later.) Many people will go in the morning. I usually go about 1 pm when there are less people. Maybe it is 2 pm. I get it confused with lunch hours at the drivers license place.

Maravett? Not correct spelling for sure! Go in ask them I believe they do it the extension is what 2000 baht plus I believe they do it for 500 baht for you. If correct they do the paperwork pick up 1 or 2 days.

Looks it will be still worth it provided I can find a cheap flight. But that seems to be a dream flying farther and farther everyday with the crap going on in ME.

I went to Catflaps in Pratumnak last night.
A few customers, but it was far from crowded. As usual, 20+ ladies, a couple of them were naked and just hanging around or playing pool.
Right now, Catflaps has slim girls, but not so many big tit types.
I brought a Thai lady with me (she wants to work there), so no barfine for me.

EL Gaucho, Patrick's, Beefeater, The Bull, Don Pepe, Royal Grill Room, Flame, there are so many.
The only people eating Thai food consistently are cheap Charlie's.
If you want the biggest variety of steaks El Gaucho is the one.

" I dropped by to inquired " this was Maneerat? Surprising I've used this place several times! When you note against the law. LOL! The immigration in Jomtien wouldn't even be this well staff, if it wasn't for agents! Everyone working there is family related in one way or another 70% of the staff are contracted out majority of those we are in contact are contracted out but here contracted out mean pretty much a regular job. Massively majority of the services are process behind closed doors for agents if observed behind each station you see application being processed prior to them opening at 8:30 am, we were allowed to enter and wait until the time comes if observant you will already see agents working processing stacks of passport these passport come from these so call illegal agents.
Personally, I do all the important extension stuff myself but since my extension is during high season the total process can take a bit longer than I like, what use to be 1 day has turned into 3-4 at times waiting in line isn't something I like so I do use Maneerat, but mainly I use them for a family friend who has lots of money but can't be bother. Prior, I've use them for exactly what you need 10 plus years I use them to obtain his yearly retirement extension, 90 day report, single or multi entry.
In fact, just this January, I did my extension the system now you pick up your passport next day, if you are are like everyone else you need another new entry stamp, now one has to go outside get in line all over again required another few hours Q and wait, So I thereafter for 500 baht service go to Maneerat and ask them for the entry stamp, I give them a picture they do all the paper work, a receipt and pick up next day late, my other cousin comes two or three times a year, depending on the days of his entry, if he stays over has Maneerat do what you are asking here 500 baht.
