Shama
Just to give you guys an idea on how close this is to all the action. Check out the photographs from the balcony and the window. Last picture is the back entrance to the hotel which is the gateway to entertainment. I am on the 14th floor.
Only negative that I could think of is the breakfast. Next time I would be booking without the breakfast.

It will be my first time going to Thailand. Planning around 5 days in Bangkok and 3 in Pattaya.
What's a good place to stay for <$70? I'd rather spend more than girls than accommodation.
Also should I bother using online services or should I just rock up to some go-go bars and see if I can nab some girls who are to my fancy?
Bunky: Thanks again for recommending SHAMA. Its just perfect location is great, the free upgrade even better and now lets see what this awesome city offers.
Glad you are enjoying the Shama Suites. Be sure to get up to the swimming pool. The view is spectacular and as I recall the wi-fi signal is decent.
Bunky.

Modern design, comfortable room, big shower, free WiFi, guestfriendly, just cross the Asoke crossroad to go to Soi Cowboy, 50 m to the Skytrain and one stop for Nana.
With all those agogo-clubs, beerbars, massage-parlours, oilies and soapies, BJ-bars, and streetwalkers within walking distance, I never found it necessary to use any online service.
The MARRIOTT Courtyard is girl friendly. It is a good hotel, but the location is not the best for the sporting life unless you want to go to Spasso and Minx. I suggest the Marriott Exec Apartments Thonglor or Marriott Exec Apartments Soi 24 if you want to stay in the Marriott Family.

Thanks a lot for suggestion, as far as the company books hotel I'm glad to read they are friendly, I will try to move to apartments if allowded.
Thanks again.

Hello all,
I have done hours of research online and narrowed my choice of hotels down to 1) LK Mansion 2) Siam Guest House 3) Basaya Beach Hotel 4) Sabai Inn. My criteria for hotel selection is location, girl friendly (all of these are), noise level, pool, cleanliness, and price (all are under $26). If anyone has any opinions on these (or others I haven't considered), I would appreciate the heads up!
If anyone is heading to Las Vegas I would be more than happy to reciprocate the info. I have been living in Las Vegas for about 10 years and mongering there for almost as many and I can save you guys lots of money by helping you avoid the bad AMP's.

Suggestion required!
Hello,
I will be traveling to Bangkok on 1-Oct-14. Just wondering where to stay to access all night life scene & girl friendly in the end. I have chosen few hotels but still I need some advice from ISG Team / Seniors.
1. Darjelling Boutique Hotel.
2. The Key Bangkok Hotel.
3. Citrus Sukhumvit 13 Nana Bangkok Hotel.
4. iCheck Inn Nana.

Admiral Premier
From Pattaya, I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, not bad, free breakfast clean rooms and accomodating staff paid 150 USD for 2 nites. Downside is I have to walk further up to Sukhumvit which is about a 10 min walk. I notice theres a few massage places in the area but don't know if the offer full service like DHM place by soi 26.

2 nites in Bangkok
Thanks guys for all the info put out there. It was helpful. Now I understand the BST works took a few rides from asoke to mbk mall to the national stadium. For sure theres a part two for BKK and its going to be a longer stay.

Nana Hotel
I thought this report on Trip Advisor about Nana Hotel was damn funny.
"First of all, every square inch of this hotel is most likely covered in sperm dating back to the 1970's.
The hotel is filthy, but I guess it does not matter because I was up to filthy activities anyway.
Great location for picking up third world hookers, I even saw a ladyboy knife fight in front of the hotel.
Stayed June 2014, traveled solo".
