This is due to the influx of Korean millionaires, who come in groups from their jobs. They want to impress their friends, so they buy dozens of drinks for Soi 6 ladies. But they can't go to the room because they are afraid their wives will find out. So Soi 6 ladies wait for a Korean whale. They don't want to leave the bar out of fear they will miss a Korean customer.

This leads to an inevitable death spiral: Westerners stop coming because the ladies only want a Korean, but the ladies can't actually survive because there aren't enough Koreans. So, ladies leave for greener pastures, fewer ladies mean less Korean customers, shampoo rinse repeat.

In 5 years or so, Soi 6 will dead, and sold off as real estate for a hotel.

Meanwhile, Soi Chaiyapoon will boom.

3 Ways Gents club: has 99 baht for 1 big bottle of beer (650 ML) with unlimited ice.
Has cheap girls and services.
Every Tuesday it has 250 Baht (or free if you spent more than 700 baht from your pocket as bill in the GC for the girls) for unlimited Mexican buffet that includes lots of things but I liked their chicken nuggets and chicken strips more. This is only from 4 pm to 8 pm.

Maggie May's Gents Club:
Can book a room in the GC itself for 2 nights and 3 days in the offer of 2600 baht that has unlimited alcohol for all 3 days. This is the text I got from them: "Roll in Friday for two nights in your room plus all-inclusive drinks in our bar from 1pm until midnight on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday three full days of unlimited drinking included in the price. Check out Sunday midday, but the fun doesn't have to stop there. Leave your bags safely at reception and spend Sunday with us too, drinks included until midnight, before you head off."

You can come out of the GC and ask security guy to drop you to the next GC for free as more than 7 most popular GC are actually affiliated with each other for this drop off service. This includes Maggie mays, club fate, camel toe, 3 ways, Catflaps, Free willie, Bradley's and some more that I cannot remember

Candy Club bar (not a gents club) has many freelancer girls inside, no bar fines and no lady drinks, has loud Thai music inside with nice Air con. Try once.

Last week and this week I have visited the Bounty Gents Club on Soi Chiyapoon next to Maggie Mays. It is fairly new (within the past 2 years) and I like it a lot. It is well put together with comfortable couches and music that is not grating or unpleasant and being played at a low enough volume that it is possible to have a conversation.

The first visit I met a young lady who I found very cute. Bought her a few lady drinks and she started sucking on me. We wound up going upstairs and having fun. Repeated it the next night. I exchanged contact information and we were supposed to get together on Sunday. Unfortunately she either got sick or just flaked out on me so after spending the afternoon wandering around central Pattaya and not hearing from her I went over to Bounty again to have a drink and try to figure out what happened. She wasn't there, but the mamasan wanted me to pick another young lady to spend time with so I did. Not a great face, but a very cute body. Very talented orally as well. We wound up going upstairs and having lots of fun, so much that the mamsan came and told us that our time was up. I saw her again last night and enjoyed sitting with her, but I was drinking so things were not going to work very well so I did not take her upstairs, I haven't been able to exchange contact information with her to arrange for her to come spend longer with me at my hotel. Her English is very weak, but she doesn't mind using Google Translate on my phone which is a huge positive.

One other thing that I am sad about is that GW Guesthouse, which was on floors 3 & 4 about the club spaces is no longer there. I stayed there a couple of times and thought Garry was a good guy. Now the space is being used for girl's rooms.

Will anchor off Pattaya next week, between September 2nd and 4th.

Such visits are won't to last up to 6 days if I'm not wrong. Not a good time to monger in Pattaya.

Man, those sailors went ape shit nuts once they got ashore, with many trashing hotel rooms too. I remember seeing an open door with hairy, sex-crazed seamen going to town on attractive Thai pooyings LOL! I can only imagine what it's going to be like when the Abraham Lincoln shows up, given they had been out to sea for [U][I][B]9 months[/B][/I][/U] without a single port call. Just insane. Sorry for the late response. I was never into GC's during my previous trips, another fellow monger RakSopheni suggested to visit Bada Bing and since then I like that place.

So far experienced places are Bada Bing, Red House, Pirates, Amsterdam, The Factory and Bada Bing & Red House are my top places to go.

In my day, the places they said to stay away from were the ones we went to first. These days when they tell you to stay away, they mean it. Fucks up the entire reason a lot of guys go into the military: exotic pussy. When my cousin was on the GW (the one that just relieved the Abe Lincoln) and they pulled into Rio hoes were off limits. Back in the day in San Diego, we would go to Tijuana every weekend. These days they can not even go there. In Pattaya the last few years, the most I have seen those dudes do is walk around. I have not seen them inside of a bar or club. You can tell who they are by the haircut and clothes.

[U]The Factory[/U] was full of cold fish when I visited. I'll try it again on another day. I had an exceptional experience in [U]The Red House[/U] and plan to return. Never been to [U]Bada Bing[/U] but passing by there I really liked the line of girls sitting outside. Need to put it on my [I]to visit[/I] list.

Appreciate the props and your thoughts about Bangkok. Seems we share some of the same preferences in venues.

We all know what goes on behind closed door is not only legal in Thailand but impossible to track. Hundreds of meals in crew's mess and ward room talking to sailors and officers about shore leave. Lots of meal time chit chat from enlisted about best port brothels, officers were much more reserved in their chit chat (at least in my presence). Shore leave, in particular Pattaya, was a highlight of these men's Navy careers. TJ/San Diego was also a highlight until TJ was placed off limits for sailors. The officers were concerned about the sailors getting in drunken fights and they didnt fight the mens desire for sex; they would openly encourage use of condoms. Sick bay was ready for whatever the sailors might bring back aboard the ship.

I never did shore leave with the crew in Pattaya, but it was positively remembered by the few enlisted and officers who experienced it.
