Soi 6 is changing for the worst, Nightwish ruined the quiet street where you could have a drink and descrete fun in the early afternoon, now new bars have come in with bright LED screens opening and closing later. As Walking Street looks more like a Bombay street, the old customers are looking at Soi 6 as a replacement so now Buakhao is becoming more popular There is crazy demands for 10 lady drinks before a short time, girls are making large commissions on drinks that they don't go upstairs anymore. And there are bars that have their own livestreams and welcome regular streamers.

I know bar owners make their money from the drinks but they have forgotten that there are more than enough places to drink in town, what draws me in is a pretty girl that I can take upstairs at a decent price, they don't seem to understand that they are competing with Thaifriendly and other sites so we don't need to visit them.

I am spending more time in the Gentlemens Clubs, mainly around Soi Bonkot 8, they are like the Soi 6 bars of 15 years ago. I visit just two bars on aoi 6, a few on Soi Honey and then around Buakhao.

I've done arranged pick-up / transfers too. It can be false economy as well. You usually have to go down and find a particular person at the main doors, but they usually work for an agency. The last time, he gave me the completely wrong car details. Then the agency and driver spent 20 minutes arguing amongst themselves. But my experiences with arranged pick ups were never as bad as yours and I feel they are worth it when going to Pattaya because I usually get a much better car.

They are usually at the arrival floor between gates 3 and 4, no need to go up and down. You'll find your name posted on a board, you point to it and they will give you a paper with your car plate number. You go outside in the street and wait until your driver comes in that car, typically in 5-15 minutes depending on traffic. You wave to him, show him the paper, board and off you go.

It's common for posters to complain that bargirls don't look like they used to. Which is true.

But, I have seen some bars with old style bargirls (young and slim), being ignored by customers in favor of big tit MILFs.

For me, I crave variety. One night wrestling with big tits, the next, some young thing.

(1) Taxi via ticket system.

(2) Grab.

(3) Arranged pickup by hotel or similar.

(4) Having friend pick me up. I did this only once and it was horrible.

I've never used bus service in Thailand. Only used mini bus service a few times. Meh.

Don Mueang airport is a different matter. Their taxi system has you take a ticket as you go into a waiting room and watch a screen for your number to appear. Then, you go to a front lectern and meet your driver. I've averaged waiting in that room over an hour at DMK. It's bad enough that I'll pay extra to take domestic flights into Suvarnabhumi instead of Don Mueang. When I fly a girl from the provinces to meet me in Bangkok, I'll pay extra for her to fly into Suvarnabhumi.

Day 1 in Pattaya.

I checked into the Azure Hotel around 10:00 PM. My room has a balcony facing the street, right in front of a massive construction site. After a quick shower and a glance over my notes, I headed straight out to Lips Lounge. Oh boy.

The place is small, with a tiny stage and a few seats. There were about 10 girls working, including the waitresses. I always use [URL]https://www.namstaxiladydrivers.com/[/URL], I send them an email with the booking details and they get back quickly. About 24 hours before the booking you get another email telling you who your diver will be with details so you cannot go wrong. You meet their rep at gate 3. They contact the driver to pick you up or they take to wherever the driver is waiting. 90 minutes later you walk into your hotel.

Tip is based on service in Thailand or anywhere else in the world. Not because you're supposed to. Private taxi 100 is likely the norm. 200 for exceptional. 0 if they didn't take the toll highway, didn't help with your luggage, drove like an idiot, etc.

Wasn't there a transportation thread? I removed any thoughts of posting a review since it would just be buried in yet another taxi conversation that we have every couple/few months.

At night I give them 100 baht.
