I have knocked off Windsor based on your feedback. I kind of decided to stay in Soi 11 to be in the center of all the actions and my current preferences are Citadines Soi 11, Elevene Avenue and Smart Suites. All of them are in my budget and seen positive reviews. Since some of these hotels don't offer "free cancellation", I'm kind of delaying my booking (my travel is planned in October). Looking for a decent hotel in the 1800-2000 baht range.

It's been 10 years since I've been there. Stayed at the Narai hotel on Silom. Any comments to how the Narai is now or another hotel nearby in my price range. Been looking through Agoda and [URL]Hotels.com[/URL].

Phat Phong is not generally of great interest other than curiosity value. There is Thaniya for Japanese and a special Soi for Lady Boys.

Narai Hotel got a score of 7. 6 out of 10. There were not many general complaints other that it has gotten somewhat dated and was considered expensive for the quality it offers. There are certainly better deals to be found in the Silom area.

If you plan to stay for a week or more then many apartments and condos are also available for rent and may turn out cheaper than many nice hotels.

I know Adelphi Suites and Phachara Suites have washer / dryers in most rooms, but wonder if there are others as well in the Sukhumvit area. My skin is sensitive to dyes.

And perfumes in a lot of washing powers / liquids and hot humid weather aggravates the problem. Taking some detergent without either and doing my own laundry is the.

Only way I know to avoid this problem.

Shama Suites, just south of the J.W. Marriott on Soi 2. They have a washer only in the kitchen area. You can dry your clothes on a little rack out on the balcony. One note: Like many hotels, the Shama Suites has a card key system for the electricity. So you can only run the washer when you are in the room and the electricity is on. It's a trifle noisy, but nothing too bad.

Has anyone stayed at the President Palace Hotel? Is it GF? It looks like a nice hotel with big rooms at a reasonable rate.
