I hope this doesn't trigger a barrage of claims, and counter claims, like the BJ discussion has done, but. It's a few years since I was in PP, and then I got around on motos. On my forthcoming trip I will switch to tuk tuks, and I'd be grateful if someone could tell me the going rates (day and night time) for trips between st 51 and the Riverfront, & between st 51 and the Hotel Cambodiana area.

I am new to PP and am a bit baffled by the KTVs. The way it has been explained to me by a Cambodian friend, you go to the KTV with some friends, pick some girls to hang out with you and can negotiate some off-site fun with the girl. Is there any way to skip the singing and drinks and get right to the girls, especially if you are alone? From some reports on this forum, it seems that some guys went to the KTVs by themselves.
Also, I've tried a bunch of massage places here and it seems you can almost always negotiate a HJ. But in a few places the girl seemed legitimately shocked by my request, even though she was giving me an oil massage where she basically spent 15 minutes straight massaging my inner thighs. Are there really men who just want an innocent thigh rubdown from a cute 25 year old and nothing more? Hard to believe.
Any tips appreciated!

Many thanks.[/QUOTE]When I was last there in November 2012, I was paying $2 each way from Riverfront to Walkabout and return. That was what I was always asked for before agreeing. I only piad the same along the waterfront from Cambodiana to 104 st and return later for the same price. Day or night no difference.

There are many tuk tuk drivers out there. It is a buyers market; you can, if want, negotiate and be cheap and get local prices.
Local fares seems to be 5000 riel ($1. 25) for a medium trip.
You could pay the "ex-pat" fare for 6000 riel ($1. 50) for medium trips. The tuk tuk drivers will try to get the tourist price of $2 or $3.
Note that the tuk tuk drivers will always try to get the higher price. If you offer a fair price, just say the price, and then look at another tuk tuk, and then he will immediately say yes.
Note that tuk tuk drivers at stand alone establishments (Le Crycee or high end karaokes) will not budge much from the tourist prices.
Note that at some places (like FCC and Martinis) , the tuk tuk drivers stand in "line", hence the first driver might not take less than the tourist price; you need to go the the driver at the end.
Examples:
From St 51 (Martinis) to St 136 (Riverside) , the driver in front of Martinis will take $2 (although he tries to get more). Driver away from the front will take 6000 riel. You probably can get less, but I don't hassle with it; they will take 6000 riel. St 51 to Cambodiana should be similar.
From Martinis to St 136, the driver in front will take $3; the driver at the end will take $2.
I pay 6000 riel for short / medium trips and $2 for medium / long trips.
You can get 20 out of 20 BBBJ from the girls at Le Crycee. That is a given.
You will not be able to get 20 out of 20 BJ from the top 20 looking girls at Martinis (that is a fact). Not sure of the percentages.
It is extremely difficult to get CIM, even at Le Crycee. Only 1 girl out of the top 4 at Le Crycee will do CIM. But luckly, it is easy to get lesbian rimming at Le Crycee. LOL!
Seems difficult to get even lesbian at Martinis (with the top girls).
Note: these are the stats for the top looking girls at Martinis (mostly 6s, couple of 7s, in my scale). Note sure about the ugly skanks; there are so many of those; they should be more desperate.

The higher end KTV's across the river like Washington all have rooms. If you don't know Khmer it may be difficult. I always go with guys I know from the Cambodian military so I have a little easier time since I do not speak much Khmer.

A lot of people get robbed by tuk tuks, motos and everyone else in a place like Cambodia because they are afraid to be men. Whatever the rate is for locals is what the rate is for you too if you can man up and assert yourself. It takes no more gasoline to take a Cambodian from Walkabout to 104 than it does to take a Brit or American.
When a tourist-oriented aircon taxi cab from the airport to Riverside is $9 or less in an hour of traffic, and the average worker brings home $90 a month, it puts things in perspective.
Cambodians pay tuk tuks $4 to take two passengers plus luggage on the 30 minute trip to the airport from Riverside. You want to pay $3 from Candy Bar to Martini? Be my guest. I'm sure the tuk tuk guys will love you. As for me, I paid the going rate: 5000 riel for regular trips. 8000 riel for the longest trips. 6000/10000 if I have a girl or two with me. No issues.
Had a handful of guys whine a bit as I walked away after handing them the same amount all Cambodians do, like "it was pretty far man". Kept on walking. Avoid the English speaking guys too. They make a living ripping off tourists, that's why they speak English. Get in, say your destination, pay when you get out. There's really no need to discuss anything.
There are thousands of tuk tuks around. If one is no good, walk to the next one. Watch the first one change his attitude.
That's my experience over 3 weeks.

Go in (almost always in a group) , get a room, girls will sing and serve you. If you hit it off / make the right offer, a girl can go out with you or meet you after work.
If you're looking for a bang and go then you're looking for a brothel, not a KTV. Plenty of those around in Phnom Penh.

Even in the places I was told are "totally legit" I was either asked if I wanted a HE or was able to ask for one. Prices range.
Never got to try the places around Wat Phnom, but wanted too. They look nice.
Contrary to what a lot of people said, girls at Sokun's wanted 20 or even 30 tip. Was able to get them down to 15, but not 10 as others reported.
Most places $5 did it. Tried 5 places in total not counting two visits to Sokun's.
