Why do people still go to Centaurus. I keep reading the same posts about the same bs they pull. I quit going 4 years ago, and now prices are higher with the same ***** that works the front. Quit going.

I couldn't agree more, I for one can't wait to retire so they can send my pension check to 4X4 so I can live eat and sleep and that's living the life.
So how in HELL can it be construed as a negative when gringos do it.
STOP reporting this stuff guys.

There is nothing negative about it imho. The GDPs prefer us to Brazilian men. We spend more and more often. I love the attentiion.
Since you ask so nicely I will stop writing about this stuff. Sorry to offend your sensitivities.
I looked at the L'uomo thread in GPguia. It's only 3 pages long, starting in Mar 10, 2004. The latest post was on Mar 07, 09. It's mostly positive reviews of the GDP's there. I only found one complaint about higher prices and it catering to gringos. Also one moderated post: some guy stating he's always pessimistic whenever he visits L'uomo.
Nothing posted about the higher prices.
So since I'll be arriving on Tuesday morning, the best way to put an end to all this debate is to see for myself. Overall I enjoy Help more then the Termas but that being said, i still like the variety. On my last trip a year ago, 4x4 definitely had the most selection. It also had the biggest crowd and tons of local men. Luomo on the otherhand was much quiter but there was still plenty of talent to be had. By Wed. my plan is to check out 4x4, Luomo, and of course Help. I'll post my reports daily. It's a tough job but someone's got to do it. LOL

Who the f*ck set you up to tell people what and what not to report??? When did it become Fanaticīs Forum?
The guy made an honest observation. Feel free to make a different one.
No kidding. Other than buying the girls expensive drinks I don't see nothing wrong with the other things that us gringos do at termas. Isn't that what we are supposed to do. We don't travel thousands of miles to drink cheap Skol beer, grope girls we could be fucking and occasionally bang one every other visit or so. You can do most of what they do at termas at strip clubs here in the states.
True.
And I think my post may have been misleading as far as the original poster, July Gan. He does not disagree with us. He was making this point, too.

It was a beautiful night last night so my girl and I decided we would try one of the beach front restaurants in Copacabana. Big mistake.
First they were out of Caipirinhas (R$6.90) but did have Caipivodkas with either Absolut or Smirnoff (R$12.90).
I ordered baby beef and my date ordered shrimp. The baby beef was not and the shrimp looked liked someone had collected up all the leftovers from the beach vendors and dumped them in a bowl. My date sent them back and the manager substituted some dried up tasteless fish. When the bill came, of course what was charged was the more expensive shrimp.
Just another place in Rio blantly attempting to rip off tourists. A few places get that the way to build a business is to treat your customers with respect. Viena is not one of those.
Anyone heard of this Termas called 'DON' ? In Centro.
I heard its new but seemingly bar downstairs and robe upstairs.

Most of the Copacabana beachfront restaurants are pretty bad. The only one that I've found to be consistently good is Don Camilo's. It's the only place in Rio that I've found that has good fried calamari. Granted, this is not the most refined seafood around, but sometimes I just get a craving for it and this is the place to go for for fried calamari in Rio. All the other dishes I've tried at Don Camilo's have also been well prepared.

Quiosque/restaurant?

Usually I eat at aipo aipim, comida per kg or at pizzeria capricciosa, pretty expensive considering you eat pizza, but it is the place where in Brazil I eat the best pizza from january till now and yes....if I want to eat good fish, the only one I found has good food it is Marius, the others are pretty bad...imho.
p.s. Marius is really hardly suggested, not expensive, considering you have a very great and big buffet and at least once, it worth to try it.
So I arrived at 4:45 this morning, so I slept half the day away. Got up around 2 and walked from my apartment in Arapador to Meia Petaxa to check it out. It was early and what was there was not very good quality. So I grabbed a quick bite and walked around a bit. I deceided to check out 583 N.S Copacabana suite 204. Been there on previous trips so I knew what to expect. The boite or what you could call it was sweltering. There were a dozen girls and just one other older brazilian guy in the corner. Needless to say, the gringo gets all the attention. LOL. I was in no mood to sweat my balls off so i picked a cute mulata named Mel. She spoke no English but she was sweet enough. Nice tight body, turns out she was only 18 and no kids which explained it. The rooms there are very dingy. Since it was my first pop in Brazil and I wasn't in the hanging out GFE mood I spent 90 Reals for 20 minutes. I know it was 120 Reals for 30 minutes, not sure about the hour. The sex was good not spectacular. The dingyness of the place really takes away from the overall experience. Of the 12 girls I saw, 1 really hot one, light skinned dark hair maybe an 8. A couple of 6's and 7's and probably half below 5. I'd probably put Mel in the 6.5 to 7 range. Anyway, I'm off and running. Two weeks and 19 bunda's left. Tonight I'm gonna check out Help(Unless it's closed down like it's suppose to have been for the past 3 years.) That's sarcasm. Help is alive and well. Got my internet hooked up so you'll see my posting daily. If any of you mongers want to meet up for a drink, PM me and i'll send you my cell...
