Isaan Region (including Udon Thani, KK, Khorat)

Hi everybody.

I just arrived in udon thani and found soi 2 quite easily though at noon the choice is not great.

I was trying to locate Soi Sow Fai Deng but was unable to do so.

Any help maybe?

It's not far from a red and white tower that belongs to the CAT International Telephone Office. The brothels of Soi Fai Deng are on the left side of Wattana Nuwong road (coming from the Paolo Hospital).

BTW, I don't want to cast doubts on Ubon. It's a beautiful friendly town, similar size and feel to Chiang Mai, with a university as well. No one speaks English and very few tourists, so it's unchartered waters. Apparently, plenty of P4P but you must speak good Thai

"Surrounded" you in a hostile manner? Did they hold you back? If they used extortion, then that is way fucked up! Thais are always trying to get a one up on foreigners.

Over the last few months I've been getting consistently great service from many different girls at Villa Massage, and the typical rule-bound but otherwise good service at Kosa Massage. It does help a lot to ask the men working at Villa which girls are 'good service' girls.

At Ceasar however I have noticed some unpleasant developments - the staff seemed pushy the last couple of times I visited. Once the mamasan practically forced a girl on me - I never saw anything like it. She kept pointing at one girl and saying her name, as apparently I had taken her in the past. This seemed to make her assume I would want to take her again, which was definitely not the case. Anyway she had called her over to my table and brought her a drink without even asking, and brought a room key and said ok lets go! All before I had agreed to anything. The clincher was the girl had bad breath! I told her sorry but there was a misunderstanding, and she went away in a huff. Then the mamasan just stood over me staring at me, waiting for a decision about which girl to take. It was like she couldn't bear to have a farang sitting in there idling away the time at 10:30 PM (which seems strange as I have sat there before, and they all claim the place is open not just to the previous 12:00 PM hour but till two AM nowadays.

Anyway, I was so glad I stood my ground - I picked a cute-but-far-from-beautiful little girl who kept smiling at me from the 'Bird Bird' section (only 1,200 baht), which was 300 baht cheaper than the girl they tried to foist on me. I ended up having one of the best sessions I've ever had in a Soapy - a new girl, seemingly very horny, who appeared to get a big kick out of having a farang (supposedly for the first time). In any case it was enthusiastic, seemingly passionate sex, and the way we like it - she didn't even pause when hopping on top.

Total damage:
1,200
300 tip for the you-know-what
100 tip damanded by the overbearing mama afterwards

1,600 baht is really too much even for good sex with an average looking 20 year old, but that's the way it is in Khon Kaen.

I was go with 2 friend's that live in nong khai and they was think it was not one to I go inside and have a look and then stay for s/t it was 500 s/t 45 min.

Actually, the regular price for Farangs is still 400 bahts for a ST session there (it used to be even cheaper in the past), but the person in charge will try to charge you more than that, especially if you are a new customer (it's, alas, a common practice nowadays in the red districts of Udon Thani and Nong Khai).

Just smile, stay polite, and explain that you know that the regular price is 400 bahts (here) for Farangs (you can trust me on this one, I live in the Udon Thani province most of the year and regularly visit the local brothels since year 2002). You shouldn't have to haggle a long time as the mamasan or papasan would usually agree on this price once you've told them.

Ruysuk Mansion is very near Adunyadet Soi 7, opposite Soi 6, and is indeed a cheap accommodation in this area. I haven't stayed here myself yet, but I know that several other ISG members frequent this place and are apparently quite satisfied with it.

I believe prices range from 500-700 on soi 7?

It used to be 500 baht + 100 baht for the room in the past at this pickup joint on Soi 7 for regular customers (I know that they often try to charge their new customers more than that nowadays), but I suppose that Hotshanehot only paid 500 baht because he had his own room at the Ruysuk Mansion.

Well there are several houses on soi 7. At only one of them I've payed 700. The others were all 500. These prices correct?

I haven't visited this soi recently myself (I favor the cheapest brothels as the quality of the providers is not much different in my humble opinion), but your price range is probably correct: one of my friends paid 800 baht (room included) in another brothel of this soi a few months ago, but he had been slightly overcharged as a newbie there, I suppose.

I've never been able to find any actual houses on Soi 7 since the crackdown a few years back. For several years all my friends and I could find on Soi 7 was the option of going to the short-time bungaloes and having them bring a very small selection of girls - usually only one girl for each man - for us to take or not take. The girls have continued to be well above average here, but at 700 plus 130 for the crappy room, it is way too expensive for what you get (typical poor service).

Have the old houses re-opened on Soi 7? Are they especially hidden? When we drove up and down the soi last night we only saw a few touts inviting us to the bungaloes, no houses.

To Goyave - we finally located your hidden house on the side soi. We were also quoted 500 baht but there was nothing worth taking so we left without bargaining. Seems like the quality is pretty low lately, though the numbers are reasonably high.

My last 3-4 sessions in Udon have been such terrible service I'm beginning to despair of the place. For sure there is no friendliness or enthusiasm, and everything is very plastic. On the last visit I was actually asked 1,000 baht for what they claimed was a 'special' girl at the expensive (600 baht) house just off Soi 2. My picky Thai friend used to always get these 'special' girls for 800 baht at this house, but they wouldn't budge from 1,000. Anyway it was a total waste as service was abominable.
