$100 for the whole night is really an incredibly good deal compared to their home country where would cost a fortune.
I think that is essential problem that some people keep comparing prices with what they would have paid ay home, which is irrelevant. Another place, another market. 100$ is an incredibly good deal compared to anything for a Thai girl as well. :)

I am only pointing out that newbies to town will think $100 foir the night is an incredible deal in their eyes. And therefore lots of guys will pay it.
On the other hand, a very top class Soapy girl that I know would not even consider $100 for the night. Doesn't interest her.
IHer Farang BF will only be back this summer for holidays (he pays for her school, her apartment + pocket money, what a fool).
Amazing that in this day and age such suckers can hold a job to be able to pay for this stuff.
Tonight Centaurus and I tried a few other bars in Soi Cowboy. Most had a fairly low standard of pretty girls, dancing, and shows.
Bars that were quite good a year or two ago seem very ordinary now.
I would only go back to Suzi Wong for fun shows and OK girls or Shark for some pretty girls. Long Gun is boring for me unless one particular girl is there.
The rest are pretty useless to me.
We didn't look in Baccara as assumed for Japanese.
You know, I thought it was just me. I was just thinking that a) I can spend a lot of time in Soi Cowboy without finding a pretty girl that shows any interest in me, and b) I wish I was Japanese.
Baccara is probably worth a visit if you're in Soi Cowboy anyway though. The other night I got a real cutie on the second floor, and narrowly missed getting her equally fetching friend who was barfined by another farang. Still, you're invisible to many of the hotter girls if you're not Japanese.
I was at Tilacs last night and the younger Japanese guy sitting near me was approached by an absolute stunner. He blew her off, and wound up with a younger girl with that petulant schoolgirl look. Neither girl, of course, would even glance in my direction.
Soi Cowboy is still entertaining and you can get lucky but it's getting a bit too much like the real world where you have to factor a lot of rejection into your nightime equations.
And speaking of Japanese, Thermae now is so bad it's funny. You have a better shot statistically with your hotel receptionist or the clerk at the 711 than with most of the girls there. I managed to pull one the other night but only because I think she was getting just a bit long in the tooth for the Japanese guys. Turned out to be fantastic service and great attitude - "you so tall, I'm so lucky, I don't like Japanese" then anal and CIM - but she was the exception and none of her friends at Thermae had the slightest interest in farangs.
As an amusing aside, on the longish walk back to my hotel, we knew, between us, every Sukhumvit streetwalker we encountered. I remembered about a year ago PMing Mick to ask about daytime mongering because back then my health wasn't so great and I functioned best in the mornings. Now I can and do monger all night long. The prescription that restored me? Two young ladies taken daily.
I will be arriving in Bangkok for my first visit. I was told to stay near Nana plaza because everything you could want is there. Where to stay?
You couldn't get any closer than the Nana Hotel:
http://www.nanahotel.co.th/html/index.html
Some people prefer more high-class hotels, like J W Marriott which is only a block away from Nana Plaza:
http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bkkdt-jw-marriott-hotel-bangkok/
But the Nana Hotel is very adequate and has a good breakfast buffet.
I'll be there for 4 weeks, beginning this coming weekend. I'm having trouble getting my ISG Subscription activated, but if I can get it going I'll send you a private message and maybe we can get together.
Great Guy
I think that is essential problem that some people keep comparing prices with what they would have paid ay home, which is irrelevant. Another place, another market.
It is totally relevant to me because the huge price difference is the reason why I cum to LOS. By cuming here I save tens of thousands of dollars vs what one would pay in Canada, and which I could not afford at home. I'd be getting much less poon in the Western world for what I spend here. Not only that, it might be difficult if not impossible to find the same kind of hot ladies that are widely available in Thailand.

For more info please see the Bangkok Hotels thread.
PS, I'd suggest you RTFF, but not everyone has three years to waste.

My problem at Tilacs is that clothed girls are a bit tame, unless they are stunning. I prefer to at least see the tits before taking a bargirl. But I will try it again.
I nearly forgot to mention that Deja Vu looked almost "dead" with very few girls and some other bars have just too few girls to be taken seriously.

Nana Plaza is the best place for Ladyboys LOL, but I'm not recommending that. Some other good bars.
If you like gogo bars, stay midway between Nana and Soi Cowboy or somewhere in between.
If you like Massage Parlours of the Oily variety, then its better to stay close to Phrom Phong BTS Station, which is my current mode, as not too far from Soi Cowboy and the underground rail too.

I agree on every single words.
bargirls are *****s and mamasan/papasan are pimps.
And both of them should be treated accordingly!
>>>>>>>>>>>WRONG<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Mammasans couldn't care less. Mammasans/Pappasans would steal the penny's from under a dead man's eyes or try to prevent a girl from being whisked off to a better life in a better country by some fool during the high season. I saw some goober take a post-op katooee from a bar on Soi 8 in Pattaya and the Fat-Dragon-Skank Mmasn was chuckling how the guy didn't know and telling me to buy this person or that person a drink and trying to work me into one of her girl's soi 8 hollywood production of how her brother was very sick (and soon to die). I've just seen it too many times. I didn't leave, I just told her she should buy the drinks and that I had seen "too mutt" bar girls with sick brothers. I explained that I might buy the pooying that just sah-moked my johnson a beer or a juice (no bacardi coolers!!) but nobody else. When the girl shows up having convulsions after she pretends to have gotten the bad news about the dead family member I have to hide my face because while everybody is boohooing I am laughing because I have see the same show too many times. In other countries the mammasans monitor the cell phones while the hoze sleep to make sure nobody is going to do any freelancing and the MS will to try to sell the guy an LT for the next day. If thai hoze are better paid than a college professor you can just imagine the dinero that a Mammasan in a big place pulls. Don't ever for one minute think that the Mamma/Pappa would look out for a farhang!!!

Soi Cowboy is still entertaining and you can get lucky but it's getting a bit too much like the real world where you have to factor a lot of rejection into your nightime equations.
I've been a Soi Cowboy man practically since the start so this is rather depressing. It was after all the place where you always could count on finding nice new girls fresh off the Morchit bus.
The only consolation is that the Japanese tourist population falls off rapidly outside yearend and other holiday periods, and the girls get a bit hungrier then. But of course even that doesn't assure you decent service once you get one.

Livingstones
I finally made it to Livingstones tonight only to realize that I have been there before with a friend a trip or two ago. I really like the place. I regret not staying at their hotel. It's kind of like an Oasis in the middle of LOS. I didn't eat the food, but it smelled great.
There was a mamasan there that could really shoot pool. She was kind of hot too, but I wasn't sure if she was available or not and didn't want to embarrass myself. Probably not though.
I plucked up a 22 year old who started working there about 5 months ago. I could barely understand her name. Great face. Strong 8 if not 9. Body was tiny, but looked pretty good.
I paid the steep barfine, 1500 baht and took her for LT. What a waste of time. All she wanted to do was watch TV. She was very shy, only wanted to do missionary, and didn't want me to see her naked. She gave a great BBBJ for the 30 seconds she would do it. Basically, she was just awful in bed. Too bad, because she is really cute.
You win some you lose some. More opportunities tomorrow.
