But we asked them if they were willing to take a nice crisp 5000 rubles note with the idea that if they were not having a good time they could leave after an hour. Of the three we brought in, one left after the hour the the other two stayed for two more hours or at least until we ran out of vodka and we could not fuck any more. This is the trick BTW. i have it on good authority that the club has been transformed into a vegas style strip club to be called "angels". apparently the idea is to use the interesting interior architecture of the venue to create a glamorous show style club making full use of the pre existing trapeze. the owners are very experienced strip club operators also running penthouse club, aurora 911, the loft and korston 911. never a dull moment in mow-town.

Sounds like 3000 rubles for an hour was the better deal.

Sadly, I must report that yet another Moscow landmark has closed its door forever. Several weeks ago, The Real McCoy served its last drink under pressure from local authorities after a Saturday Night Punch Up turned deadly about six months ago. According to the local press, the popular and often over crowded "Real McCoy" was packed to the hilt as had been common on Saturday nights in recent years. Tempers flared, pushing and shoving ensued and someone ended up dead.

The Real McCoy will be remembered for being one place you could ALWAYS go to find drunk sluts at 4:00 AM. It will be missed by Muscovites and Expats alike. A "Chokoladnitsa" will be opening soon in its place. Somehow it just does not seem right.

One hotel that does not get much press these days is Korston Hotel located at Ulitsa Kosygina. Not only is there a resident strip club (Korston 911) but most nights after 22:00 the lobby bar is crawling with working girls.

i am pleased to report that, last night, i had the pleasure of attending a pre-opening party at the newest jewel in moscow strip club crown called "angels". located in what was until recently the hungry duck, angels is the newest in the chain of clubs including korston 911, aurora 911, penthouse club and the loft. the format is pretty predictable and the girls all seem to be from the other clubs. again, this was a pre-opening event so i am not sure what the final staffing mix will be. the club itself is very nice. i thought that the duck would receive only a minor facelift. not so. they pumped a ton of money in renovations. the main level is your standard strip club. where the long oval bar used to be, now there is a raised stage with all sorts of "gear" hanging down from the ceiling including a trapeze! the raised stage where the band used to play is now a platform for the dancers similar to what you see at aurora. on the second level there are all kinds of rooms for private dances. the upper levels of the club were not open yet so was able to wander a round and have a leisurely "look see". a few rooms are outfitted as full suites with bathroom, bed and shower. i peeked into one and they seem to have spared no expense in the furnishings. the 3rd level used to be laid out as a sports bar at the duck. now it is all suites. very nice suites. let's just leave it at that. and the girls? what can you say? they are all as gorgeous as ever with good attitudes. the waitresses were very frisky and playful but again, it was a preopening party.

the really interesting twist is what they have done with their drinks. while in moscow it's common to see portion sizes of 40 ml or 50 ml for hard liquor, angels offers a 70 ml portion for the price of a smaller portion. nicely done.

the club officially opens on april 5th and it's located at ulitsa sadovaya-chernogryazskaya. 8 (sadovaya ring) and is very close to the metro called krasnaya vorota (red line) only a few stops north of lubyanka. i am not sure what the cover charge will be but i expect that it will be in line with the other clubs around 1000 rubles. as always, the female bar tenders are topless which is always a nice touch. love those titties!
