Mr T. Limousine service. I always use it. It's better to phone, they don't always answer emails.
It is one of the five private taxi services already mentioned earlier, for instance here: http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?p=1018102#post1018102

I can vouch for Mr T's service. About the emails, I had to send two about one enquiry before getting a response, but have been impressed with the service overall.
btw, I've heard about rogue taxi drivers holding up Mr T signs at arrivals baggage claim exit and unsuspecting Mr T clients falling for this without verifying relevant ID's, and consequently being overcharged. Take care after your long flight.

LMAO. Very ingenious.
Welcome to Thailand ;)
It happened to a friend of mine in 2008 (that was the yellow shirts then who blocked the airport) and of course, he then said to his boss that he was visiting the cultural sites of Thailand and its neighboring countries. I copied hundreds of touristic pictures of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam on several compact disks for him before he left the Land of Smiles and explained him briefly where the shots were taken. Apparently, it worked fine for him then! ;)
It happened to me. Thankfully I had an understanding employer. Not sure I can use the excuse two times in a row. So instead of Pattaya/Bkk I'm changing to Pattaya/Phuket...atleast then if things go pear shaped I should be able to fly out of Phuket.

Pattaya Status
Planning trip #15 to LOS. Can any of you who have visited (or are there) in the last few days comment on Pattaya and how it has been affected by the red shirt crisis? If it has been affected at all?
Are there more girls, less girls. More punters fleeing BKK, or less who aren't showing up in LOS. Any troops, security? General nervousness?
Thanks, Pattaya Tim
Planning trip #15 to LOS. Can any of you who have visited (or are there) in the last few days comment on Pattaya and how it has been affected by the red shirt crisis? If it has been affected at all?
At the present moment in time Pattaya is completely safe and there is not even a hint of the terrible events in BKK. Obviously the situation is fluid and the government's recent decision to impose a state of emergency in a further five provinces is an indication that there is concern the 'revolt/rebellion' could spread, but as to whether it will spread in Pattaya's direction remains to be seen.
It is the traditional low-season in Pattaya so its quite difficult, as a punter, to determine how significantly numbers are down. Judging by the glum faces behind the reception desk at my hotel, tourists numbers have plummeted.
On the upside, many many girls around and few customers. The word is that a lot of the P4P crown from Patpong and Sukhumvit have descended on Pattaya to escape the troubles and the motley tourist numbers in BKK.
Loads of girls (and katoeys) on the beach front in the evenings. Lots of action on Walking Street too.
I would have no hesitation in advising anyone to come to Pattaya which is absolutely safe.
Enjoy!

In case, you arrive at the airport and you go straight to Pattaya,
either by bus or taxi, you should be fine.
Cheers!

Yah, how are things in Pat now? Is it a buyers market? Gogo girls down to 1000ST or lower yet? How about freelancers? They down to 300-400 ST?
Not yet - the Navy are in town plus many people from Bkk.
Are you saying that the US or Brit Navy is in town for a port of call?
-
Not yet - the Navy are in town plus many people from Bkk.
That sucks!!!!!!!
How long is the Navy there for?
-
it's the US Navy and they are in for 2 or 3 weeks (at Sattahip I think)
It's what used to be Cobra Gold
-
Thanks!
To Ekspat, Saint Mint and especially Doppel One:
Thanks for the updates! That was incredibly helpful. I knew the boys would still show up... you can't keep the punters down!
It all sounded wonderful, except for when the US Navy showed up!
Does anyone know when that 2-3 weeks of Navy will end? I'm due in town 5/27 I think. (I wonder if they're hanging around in case the PM needs their assistance.)
Thanks again. I'll buy a beer for anyone still around.

I read a report they are in Phuket. It says it was the beginning of May though. If it was any big ships, they would announce it. It shouldn't be any different hopefully. If it was am Aircraft carrier though, that would be bad news.
-
Sorry for the double post, I just read the report on them being in Satahip. It's an exercise between most of the military in Southern Asia. I believe it is a ground exercise so ships won't be pulling in. It's called CARAT(Cooperation afloat readiness and training) It's only 300 US and Thai Sailors and Marines. They finish the exercise on the 21st of May. They probably will get some days off after the conclusion of the exercise. I would not worry about them coming and pillaging the city. Nor should the prices raise for the ladies(hopefully). Like I said in the last post, If this was an Aircraft carrier or something big like that, then I would worry.

Thanks!
