Hello all,
This is my first post on the board. I have read for a while and tried to learn a little here. I searched past reports on RAK and came up with very little. I have to spend a couple of days up there and would really like to know if anyone knows the scene up there. Good bars and/or GF hotels. I understand it took a hit a while back, but has it recovered any? Thanks for any guidance.

In my limited experience in Dubai I can concur to some degree. I'm African-American and the last time I was in Dubai i was mistaken for Arab. This happened at a few restaurants and at the hotel. My one experience at Rattlesnake was good (with a PRC). The PRC I picked up grabbed by crotch in the bar and said "you so big..." I guess if they are going to believe stereotypes it might as well be a good one... :-)

Whilst some people are brushing the racism issue ' as an Arab Appearance ' issue. Some posters will inform you of Entrance charges being levied on Non White Persons and quite obviously waved on White Persons.
As a Briton of Non White Origin living in new Dubai with children in schools where the majority of children are white I have experienced and am experiencing more of 'The Superiority Complex. '
I would love to say it is a tiny minority, but alas. A lot of these people do need re civilising!
It would be revealing from my 'Countrymen BUT White Mongerers' the true extent of their observations.

I would be staying in Fujerah from 8 to 10 March.ve been to Fujerah last year and I could only find some PRC WGs.There was one hotel(I forgot the name but it was in down town near some round about) where russian dance was going on and I visited there and had stayed for some time but I was told that those dancers(CIS girls) don't come for business.As i m less keen on PRC or Thai babes,could any one please tell which hotel is GF and will have in house stock of CIS WGs.Last time I stayed in company guesthouse and was not at all GF.I don't mind going to other hotel and staying overnite if I can get CIS cuties.
Please let me know through regular post or you can PM me.Any one from mongering world who is in or around Fujerah can join me for drinks and hunting as well.Drinks would be on me.

Another good point. I have NEVER been allowed to enter a club without paying a cover charge. York, Rattlesnake, Rockafellas, Stayin Alive, the old Cyclone -- I was always charged admission fee, even if a white guy in front of me was given a free pass and even if I had been to the club several nights in a row. Maybe I should be more assertive in the future and flash my USA passport to the door man.
Joe: Just like in Full Metal Jacket, I've had a few Asian WGs tell me they would never pick up a black guy for exactly that stereotype! More power to you. And I suppose me and my South American hermanos (brothers) can always fall back on the "Latin Lover" stereotype.

racism is endemic in dubai, and that's not going to change for a long time. believe it or not, it pisses off some white guys also, including me. i was recently offered a well-paid consultancy project by a local arab company because, as they said, they wanted a 'white guy'. so much for my years of experience. i told them i was too busy, but i had a colleague who could do it, and probably better than me. they asked his nationality, and i told them (he's arab). immediately they weren't interested in him, even when i pointed out he's whiter than me.
as for hooking up with wgs if you're not a white guy - d etat and others point out, just be friendly, fun attitude and confident, and you'll have no problems.
local arabs have a bad reputation in dubai with the working girls because of some horror stories, including gang-[url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123][CodeWord123][/url], murder in the desert, non-payment etc. unfortunately, a few of the stories are true, as anywhere in the world, but they tarnish the reputation of the other 99% of the local guys, who are good people like anyone else in the world.

on a lighter note - i'm enjoying the fun with filipina girls. many of them like to say on their dating-site profiles that they are 'simple' - a favorite filipina word that roughly translates as 'no baggage, no complexities'.

The same thing happens to me all the time, sadly, only when they are grabbing my belly.
Good Guy: I don´t think anyone is brushing off the race issue, if De Etat and others have had great experiences, well, that is great, but I know people who cannot get their kids into good schools based upon their passport.
Sad reality that will take a long time to change I fear. I can confirm Piper´s experience with work racism, it is to the point where the white guy is trotted out for the interview, and the "unacceptable" guy does the work.
As for bar entrance fees, Cyclone was always equal opportunity, everybody paid (at least that I ever saw) but the rest, I think I was charged ONCE at Regal on a Thursday night. Rattler has also always made me pay as well. Every other bar, it is a smile and a nod for the most part.
A boycott was suggested years ago here on the forum, and the tourist authority claims to investigate and punish discriminatory entrance policies, but I would not hold my breath for real change.

I have read the Dubai threads and it seems the mongering scene in Dubai is a bit different than Bahrain (where I usually monger). For start, you don't seem to have room service in Dubai, that is girls coming knocking on your door as soon as you check in (check Bahrain threads for more details). That means I have to do a bit of hard work, get off my butt and go through the bars and finally when I find the wg I want she may not have her own place and I may not be able to bring her to my room, is it as complicated as it sounds or am I too spoiled by the Bahrain mongering scene? I have to admit we don't seem to have the Varity of girls that you have in Dubai, especially the Africans (Ethiopians, they are forbidden in Bahrain).

As someone who has frequently travelled to Dubai with British/EU Asians, I can assure you the colour of your skin will not make any difference with about 95% of the girls regardless if they are CIS, PRC or African.
My pals and I have frequented the most lavish of clubs in Dubai with working girls, including Boudoir, Amnesia (RIP), Cyclone (RIP), Premiere and Kubu and have never experienced any form of racism associated with colour.
Now these guys are British Asians, which if anything made it worse for them, as they had to pay a higher rate
Guys from the sub continent are charged less money by some of the girls who understand that these guys are on a lower payscale, for which the girls should be commended.
As with most things in life, appearance matters, whatever race you are. I have seen white guys from Russia being point black refused in Cyclone, and Indians welcomed. The WG later confirmed that the Russian guy looked, and smelt awful, and she didn't want to spend time with him. Read into what you like.

The York was my introduction to the Dubai sex scene. I have only been charged for drinks and for various woman to remove their underware.

Most Racist Moment:
I don't know if this incident was because of my race or me just being foreign. I was trying to catch a taxi outside of my hotel when a Arab lady jumped in front of me after a middle age gentleman stopped to pick me up. The guy who I later was to discover was from Sri Lanka told the lady to fuck off the Black guy was here first. She screamed something about telling his manager as we sped off and I informed him I appreciated it but it was not necessary he responded by saying he was tried of the Arabs doing that.

Me and my wingman went up to rockafellas yesterday just to look around and see what they have to offer on a late Monday night. :)
We already had to much to drink so we had already decided before we got in that we should not pick up anyone today, (sure I could keep that went home later with a 19 year old friend I know for some time now, but my wingman was a good buy. I need to learn how to say no) :p
Anyway what strike me last night was that there is more and more Arab girl’s wannabees.
What I mean is CIS WG who wants to pretend that she is Arab girl and therefore charge a lot more. I have seen this before in regal but last night it was so many of them and you could see all the guys just walking around them with there tong on the floor and trying to close a deal with what they thought was an Arab girl.
The sad part was that so many of them really thought them closing a deal with an Arab girl.
Have you guys seen this somewhere else in Dubai or is this just Rockafellas thing.
Ps, does anyone know which club the Africans call the African club, need to find it soon. I’m looking forward to nice tight as. Ds ;) :p

I initially visited Dubai some 5years ago and the best place to be was Cyclone. Which had a variety of wg mainly from CIS. The rates for LT were approx 700dhms. A fair price for a westerner.
Over the years not only has the prices increased significantly, but the whole time/service/GFE etc is going down the pan.
The number of african/Chinese imports into Dubai is resulting in lower prices which has meant all the 8s and 9s of this world have deserted the country to find clients willing to have fun at reasonable prices. I. E 1200. 1500 dhms/full night. There is maybe a handful of class girls available now and they would be in Premier (Hyatt) and Regal.
York initially was middle range, but now you will be pressed to find 3-4 stunners. I cannot believe that the UAE government (who know all about WG when they enter the country) don't have a selection/visa criteria. As in only let in 7+ and percentage limit each nationality for WGs only.
That way prices will attract the right calibre of WGs and the service will be GFE together with a variety of nationalities/sizes etc.
If you want a straight massage. Visit the Al Ain shopping centre (2nd Floor) and pay no more than 100dhms/hour. Excellant service.
The best WGs you will find in Premier + Regal + Kubu
All others are mediocre. York + Rattlesnakes + Imperial Suites etc.

Cheers Spelman[/QUOTE]I used to go to an African club in the Rush Inn Hotel opposite York but it closed a year or so back. My Ghanaian friend tells me that it has shifted to Palm Beach, a couple of buildings down on the same side of the road.
There are also a number of Ethiopian clubs in town but I was too drunk to pay attention to which one I went to (sorry). If though, you’re planning a trip to Abu Dhabi I can tell you where they all are.
