I have been to Moscow about 10 times in the past five years. A few years ago on this site someone recommended go-to. Ru as a car service, I have used them ever since. They are reliable, clean cars, prompt and a few folks there speak English.

I use them from the time I arrive at the airport untl I depart.

I have completely struck out in the escort scene. A lot of Moscow is simply too difficult for a non-Russian speaker. However, I did have a business friends who I could not use for help with escorts, but did take me to major clubs. As in top clubs in LA and NYC, you have to have connections! Two clubs not listed in your list are Club Che, very near Old School Pub and somewhat similar and the very upscale Soho Room, on the river. As far as I can tell, hostesses are fair game (never asked though) but I don't believe bartenders are. Either that, or she was playing hard to get!

As for the place itself, I don't have much of a benchmark, since I've only been to Penthouse and Angels. Penthouse is bigger and cozier. Angels was pretty crowded (primarily because it's smaller) for a Tuesday and I could only sit at the bar.

As it happens I was there last night. Wednesday nights is "free entry night". Otherwise it's

1. 1,000 to get in and sit at the bar. Which is not all bad because sitting at the bar has it's own particular charm too. The bartenders are all topless so that's quite cool. And some of the bartenders are hot too. So worse case you stare at tits all night while they grind mint for mojitos! (think about the mental image for a moment)

2. If you want to sit at a table on the lower level it will cost you 2500 rubles per person deposit. Which means that you must spend a minimum of 2500 rubles per person on drink and food! Tips for table dances does not count towards that minimum.

3. If you want one of the semi private lounges or "loge" as they call it, you must pay 4, 000 rubles RENT. In other words that 4, 000 rubles does not count towards any drinks or food. But it does give you a cool place to sit and watch the action plus the hot girls tend to migrate to the loges to hang out with you. So that's kind a cool.

4. If option 2 & 3 are out of your price range, you can get a seat upstairs and look down over the rail for nothing extra. Mind you, I don't think your chances of getting a table dance are too good up there.

The Crazy menu is pretty usual. Sorry but I did not memorize the prices. But it's usual. If you ask the dancers how much for a table dance they will tell you 500 rubles. If you give them 100, they will sneer at you but if you give them 200 rubles they will say "thank you". Private dance is 1, 000 but I tend to think private dance is a waste of money, but that's just me.

FD is correct, a girl and a room will cost you 17, 000 rubles unless you opt for one of the "Suites" which I understand are pretty palatial.

The food menu is surprisingly good. I believe it's the same chef from the Hungry Duck and he's pretty decent. Drinks are pretty standard. If I recall correctly beers are 400 rubles and mixed drinks are about the same. However, they do give a 70 CL portion as opposed to 40 or 50 which are more common in Moscow.

Last night there was a pole dance competition which was a little bizzare but fun in its own way. Made for sort of a carnival atmosphere. I like Angels more than, Penthouse, Loft and Aurora because it feels a little more intimate. Again, maybe that's just me.
