A safe place to put your luggage?
Hi,
I will be checking out of my apartment at 11am but my plane doesn't take off until 10pm. Can anyone recommend a safe place to put my luggage while I go to 4x4 or do other activities throughout the day? I'm sure most of you from the US run into this problem.
Please help,
Thanks
Viena - Kiosk on the Beach
Where is the location off this restaurant?
I probably should have been more specific. Viena (a Brazilian restaurant chain) has one of the newer style Kiosks right on the beach near Siqueira Campos.

Rio - always need to be on the alert
After our experience at the Viena Kiosk on the beach, my girl deserved a good meal so I took her to Porcão in Flamengo. The food there is awesome and the restaurant is highly recommended. However at R$75 per person, it is not cheap, so be prepared.

We took a taxi there and then back to Copacabana. I didn't notice until we were underway that the taxi did not reset the meter before we left Porcão.
What I always have disliked about Rio is the pervasive mentality of "the gringo has a lot of money so let's get some." You constantly have to be on your guard and it gets tiresome.
Cancun: Wearing a watch during termas session
Need some opinions please. I sessioned at Termas Cancun during my visit last December. What I didn't like was the garota took me to a cabin and left me there for sometime before she was ready for me to do her. As I laid in the cabin waiting for her, I kept wondering how much of my hour was wasting.
I hate to sound cheap, but when I return to Rio this month, I am definitely going to wear a watch to make sure I get my full time. I've thought about this at other termas, too. When that phone call comes in to call it quits, are we sure we are not being cut short?
Don't Get Taken...Plus Help tonight
Like Exec said, they're always looking to rip off the gringo tourist. Perfect example. I met 4 guys at Terraco Atlantico tonight before Help. It was there first time there and at about 11 pm they ask the cabbie in front of Help to bring them to an ATM machine. He told them every ATM in that area was closed and it would cost them $40 US round trip to get money. I had left them to go back to my hotel and happened to pull up in my cab while this was going on. I took them in my cab to Citibank which roundtrip was 9.40 Reals. VS the 90 or so the Help Cabbies were trying to get. Let that be a lesson to newbies on the board. Never ever take a cab in front of Help without knowing what the real price should be.
Help is still Help. I thought the talent level was a little below par, but there were still plenty of great looking girls in there. I didn't partake tonight, but only cause I was spent from my late afternoon session. I'll be back tommorrow, guns a blazing....LOL
NEVER Take A Cab In Front of Help

Even if you know what the real price should be, NEVER take a cab in front of Help.
ALWAYS catch a rolling cab away from Help!
I have heard several horror stories about people who have taken such cabs (e.g. being stopped by the police and having them find drugs planted in the cab by the female). True or not, the risk is not worth taking.
There are signs posted in Help that state never take a cab in front of Help. This is advice that I highly recommend.
