Have been buzzing around the North Jakarta spas as a change from the usual Jartika/Berlian/Maribaya circuit.

Best place was Sari Ayu, located down a side road along with several other places (Royal, MTR, Diva, Kristal, etc.). As described in Jktnoobie's excellent post in January 2007, this place is well light and filled with young cuties, ages 18-23.

The mamasan recommended "Mala," slender figure, young, long bleached blonde hair, claimed to be 21 but looked younger (but legal), clearly had never had any children. Cute face and great body, but no English at all, and no GFE service, just laid there on the bed, didn't even offer to help me shower at the beginning or end. However, after some DATY she definitely warmed up and responded nicely, decent uncovered BJ and nice covered FS ending. Cost was 220,000 rupiah (payable up front) and a tip. I have her cell phone number for seniors and other valued members of the board.

Stopped by Beverly Spa the same afternoon that I had visited Virgin Spa, for a quick look but did not stay. There's a huge banner outside announcing reduced prices from 12 Noon to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Walked inside and learned that a massage with a local girl was 180,000 rupiah and a session with a Chinese girl was 1,150,000 rupiah, not sure if those prices are all inclusive or if there's a room charge on top of those numbers. I hope to go back here soon for a session and will report on that.

That's interesting. I have yet to meet a non-local who doesn't get Mala thrust at them first. Alot of the girls there frown on going with bules, but Mala doesn't seem to mind. Went to BATS on my own the other night (being a Saturday night). And I managed to get another freebie -- I was surprised myself (!). When I first arrived in Jakarta, I used to think this was a good thing to do. But I was quite naive back then. Whenever a girl wouldn't ask for money, I didn't give her any. However, it didn't take me long to come to the realization that this is completely unfair. Overall, the girls in Indonesia are still nicer girls than the hard core girls you'll find in Thailand and the Philippines. They free lance and many times don't ask for any money. That's not because they don't want or need money, it's because they are a bit more reserved and are for the most part actually shy to ask for money.

I'd venture a guess that if I really wanted, I could get away with not giving the girls money about 50% of the time. However, is this really fair to the girls? Don't kid yourself, these girls going home with you do not have jobs that allow them to go to places like Bats, CJ's, etc and wear the nice clothes they wear, go to the beauty salon etc. If they are going home with you the first night they meet you, they are not a girl who works in an office making 10 million rupiah a month. They are looking for some spending money and the thing that keeps them showing up to places where we can take them home is the fact that the guys they meet will do the right thing and slip them a little money on their way out the door. I've seen many times where girls will stop hitting the clubs because they meet too many guys who don't give them money and they just can't seem to bring themselves to demand it. The other case are the girls who become hard core Bats girls who go there every night and demand money up front. (I hate that.)

As I mentioned before, many girls won't demand money in Indonesia. However, is it fair to not give her money after a full night of sex? I don't think so. If you don't give some money to the sweet girls who don't demand money, then eventually we will have nothing but hard core girls who negotiate money up front. I've noticed a trend to those type of girls lately. I've lived in Jakarta for 7 years now. When I first came to town, it was very rare for a girl to "demand" money or ask for it up front. Now it's getting to be more and more the norm. I try to make it a point to never take a girl home who negotiates money up front. But that's getting more and more rare. I'm guessing it's due to cases like Mandiri just mentioned where the girls are getting stiffed.

In my opinion, if the girl goes home with you and takes care of you, it's your obligation to give her at least something. I actually feel bad about the times when I didn't give them money back in the old days. I really didn't realize that the girls needed that money and just weren't demanding money because they were nicer than the hard core business girls. There were even times that I'd ask them "do you need some money?" and they would say no. (But really they needed that money desperately.)

There are a few girls who don't want or need the money. But I find that if I offer a girl 400k for taxi money home, she will take it if she needs it. If she is truly a "nice" girl, she will refuse it and say "what do you think I'm a hooker?". But that has never happened with a girl I've taken home the very first night, only with girls I've taken home after knowing them a couple of nights. Any response other than "I dont want your money, I'm not a hooker", and I feel it's only right to give them some money. They need it.

I think you should give a girl no less than 350k and no more than 500k for all night. Of course, it's up to everyone to make thier own decision on this. But I think you are ruining the market by chasing off the nicer girls or driving them to be forced to negotiate up front by not giving them any money.

Then again, if she was butt ugly, then maybe you were doing her a favor?

There's no such thing as a free lunch... You will only not pay the first time. And its people like us who play a role in making them think commercial or remain GFE, something that used to be unique only to Indonesia and is fast diminishing.

My standard policy is, try and get a sense if the girl wants something or not, and then decide on taking her back or not.
