However the language barrier, in that very few Colombian women in the trade speak English is daunting for the non-Spanish speaking newbies that have inundated Medellin over the past six months as evidenced by their posts.

This, in my opinion is the biggest problem for the newbies, besides being a bunch of imbeciles.

My point here is to give prospective visitors a little does of reality- many guys find Medellin to be fantastic but honestly speaking there are challenges that get glossed over. If you are looking for a point and shoot location that is set up specifically for you like most of south east Asia, this is not it. Like I said, even Brazil is more user friendly despite the language barrier there. I have yet to hear any refutations to the specific points I laid out.

I agree with many of your posts Osteoknot with the exception of hunting for girls in ground zero in el centro. Although this works for some it is not for everyone. If a newbie has build contacts I would recommend getting an arbnb or hotel in the laureles or poblado area. Take a day trip to el centro and see if that environment suits you. In either case it is best to book a few nights at the first place you are staying so you are not committed to staying there the entire trip. I made that mistake booking a place in el centro when I was a newbie. Then again , hotels or apartments are relatively cheap so it is not that big of a deal. Everyone is different. Medellin has something for everybody.

You want to be close to Ground Zero because that is where you will screen your girls initially.

Most the girls take taxis or Indriver or DiDi so you can stay in El Centro or close to El Centro such as in Avenida 70 - Laureles. Estadio which is only three metro stops from El Centro if you get off at San Antonio and walk to Ground Zero which is what I usually do.

I am suggesting that you can hunt or monger in Ground Zero during the day, find the girls you like, take them to a Love Motel a few steps away of Ground Zero as a test drive and then refer the ones who you like back to your hotel. Simple.

This does not require social media but I know a lot of guys are into that here, there is nothing wrong with that but what I described is a simple, short and direct way to have a really good time from the start. * A way you can hit the ground running and have a great time.

You don't have to waste a trip here getting to know things, and you don't have to spend weeks or months setting up contacts ahead of time although again I am not saying anything bad about those methods, but when I scan these posts I see mongers who might be overcomplicating things.

For the fellow mongers who say they cannot find good girls in El Centro, I don't know what they mean. The photos I've attached here include the latest girl and I did exactly what I described above. On any given day I get similar results.

Maybe she's not good enough for guys who don't like chicas with firm perky breasts, full ass, tiny waist, great hair, great smile, a tight cute pussy, clean, intelligent, pretty face, and best of all a personality that is a joy to be around and who doesn't have the word "no" in her vocabulary. * If that is the case* for you then ignore this post! Where should I go once my six months tourist visa expires? Or is it possible to walk / bus across to Ecuador or Peru (without an exit stamp) and walk / bus back to Colombia and pretend I left months ago so I can stay longer than six months?

Was in MDE mid September, saw a lot of girls, too much my eyes could handle. I was with the wife and kids and could not do anything.

Some notes:

*) MDE was a safe place. Try to stay in the crowdy places. A lot of police everywhere.

*) Uber works not all the time, install other apps such as: BEAT, EASY TAXI, CABIFY. You will always get scammed by the random yellow cabby picked on the street.

*) Centro. A lot of activity from 1200 hour till 2000 hour. Plenty plenty of girls around. Be aware that after 2000 hour, this location becomes sketchy. A lot of drug users and weird people on the scene.

*) Parque Lleras was a kewl and very safe place. Just sit in one of the bars and watch the action. A lot is happening. I spoke with a few girls and they were all asking 200 COP. You take them to your place or a hotel. You pay the cab and the hotel.

I plan to go back next in December and wanted to know the following:

*) girls in Centro. How you can know they bring you safe to the hotel to finish the job and not set you up to get robbed?

As far as freelance, you've basically got Mab's and Dolce Vita, which represents about 1/10 of the options of Llleras / Centro combined. There are a good amount of prives (casas).

One thing should be noted that although the scene is smaller, the number of gringo mongers is correspondingly small. As you say, if you took all the Medellin gringo mongers and dumped them in Copacabana it would be a nightmare. This is another reason I prefer Brazil.

Horrible scene near ground zero this afternoon. Fir reasons no one could explain (I asked quite a few, including police) a Colombian guy tried to exit the Zona Rosa hotel through a fifth floor window and enter the building next door. He did not make it. He feel five stories and sustained only a minor leg injury. The really fucked up part is he fell on top of a 12 year old girl who was passing by below. The girl suffered horrific leg, wrist and arm injuries. She was treated on the scene and taken away in an ambulance. The walk job was carted off in the back of a police pick up. This happened only moments after I arrived at about 4 pm or so.
