Now that Help is gone, everyone is missing it.

We forget, that Help, after being taken over by prostitutes, was taken over by favela prostitutes

I can proudly say I did not set foot on Help in over 10 years. Most better girls I know were scared off by violent Ghetto girls. Help was destroyed by the low life girls that scared off the girls I consider most interesting: part time occasional prostitute girls that want no trouble.

Step 2 was invasion of the prostitutes. Step 3 was invasion by low life violent prostitutes that kept out the occasionally working "almost good" girls.

I wish Help could return to be as it was in the first few years. I don't miss Help as it became in the end. Overpriced gringo ripoff by seasoned girls. Girls that like to scam guys out of their money with threats, not following up with what they had promised.

So what was so great about Help? I've never been but just curious as to how it was different from balcony and barbarellas. I hear the former Help girls frequent Balcony now. Was Help just a club version of balcony? Cause there's a club right next to it and its where the balcony crowd goes to dance.

My wife and I had many a good night out in the eighties-early nineties. Later during the nineties until 2008, I would visit with clients and colleagues for one reason only(hookers). My wife and I re-visited 2007. (Even in her 50's my wife is a babe) she was getting heavy pressure in the ladies room, about minimal pricing and not to drink too much.

The sad thing was, yes help was (quasi) an area of free enterprise for the pros, until base economics started to play a part. If the girls were considered to be selling under the going Gringo rate prices, there would be repercussions for the girl. Bearing in mind towards the end of help, many of the girls had been selling their services earlier in the day for $R50 or less in VM or the like.

The free advice that you claim to offer so that you can places ads all over the internet touting the rooms you rent in your apartment is often worth just what people are paying for it. This is from a post in February 2009.

Many of us are here trying to help others have a good experience, not trying to rent crappy rooms in our shithole apartment or posting ads in exchange for discounts or freebees. We also do not have posts over many years which discuss "young" girls.

There are disgusting and revolting people in this world. If I can help others avoid making contact with them, I try. For free.

I have no clue why ExecTalent is embarking on a war against me, with all kinds of unproven allegations. I know there are well known people in the gringo tourist trade in Rio who are spreading similar lies, maybe he listened to them.

These people are actually miffed because I give free advice and thus claim I am getting kickbacks. While, of course, hiding that they get the usual commissions from businesses (no, the one at 500 Copacabana gives no commissions, except to touts that bring gringos in person and charge a surcharge)

I already reported ExecTalent's rants to the board administration, I hope they will take care of this.

Thanks for doing advertising for my apartment rooms.

I enjoy helping people. Usually for free. Even the apartment stuff is mainly so I can have some fellow hobbyists around.

If I was exploited by a slight overcharge, if I overpaid a little, that does not give you the right to invent phantastic conspiracy theories on how I could make a profit.

I have 4 University degrees, 2 bachelor's, 2 master's, and an almost completed PhD. 3 of them are from University in the TOP50 of the world list, or the Top20 in the US.

I have reported on aproximately 35 cities in the world since this board was in its beginnings under a different name. Cities like Caicó RN, Porto Seguro BA, Porto Velho RO, small towns in MG, etc.

Other continents I posted under other names, so I will not quote them.

I have enough income not to need any room rental stuff, though additional cash is never unwelcome.

I have taken hundreds of people to little known places in Rio, and fought for them to get lower prices instead of the gringo surcharges.

That is guys like me.

This is why you need to be reported. I think everyone understands what you are trying to allude between the lines. Now accusing someone of criminal activities, really this is way over the limit and against all rules of the board.

Even more so because I am known as the crazy guy who checks everyone's ID and sends 22 year old girls back home, if they forgot their ID. No matter if I have seen their ID before but they forgot to bring them along.

You had GDPs who got their hair done, put on make-up, and got dressed up in their best clothing. You could take a GFE home for TLN for an average of R$150. Some would reach for R$200, but the absolute max would be R$300 (which I would never consider paying). And that was back in the almost 4-to-1 R$-US$ days. When you attempt to compare Balcony or Barbarellas you are talking about Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom compared to a two-bit traveling carnival. Like the guys are saying, if the favela rats were the last frequenters of Help, then I don't know what you can call the ones who frequent Balcony now. They are definitely on a lower scale. Most start off asking R$200/hr or R$400 TLN like they are upscale models. B*ch please! I have never seen one girl who I knew from Help up at Balcony. I guess they must have squared up. In each of the two places you would find totally different atmospheres and totally different attitudes.

As far as Help went I was there in October of 1989. It was full of GDPs and they were way more agressive and overtly open about their business then they were at the end of Help. They were even allowed to dance on the top of the speakers they would come up to you and grind on you, it was great. I returned to Help in 1994 it had tamed down some but still lots of GDPs. I did not return unti 1999 when I started to visit about three times per year until recently. It was not nearly as much fun in the last few years but it still was nice to go and watch the crowd.

Dude, did I at any point say it does not happen? No I did not. None of them would ever state in open court that was the reason as several businesses did in the late 80's.
