Great stuff John! I'm going to Phnom Pehn for the very first time in a couple of weeks and your post will be very helpful. One question: I'm more into Vietnamese girls than Khmer girls. Is Darling and Martinis the place to go for good looking Vietnamese girls or are there other places with majority of Vietnamese?

Awesome detailed and informative report. Ill be back in PP for the month of August and this report has got me pretty damn excited. Now. Let me help you just a little, nowhere near the level that your report will help the first time monger to PP, but just a few answers to your questions. Voodoo is bang between Golden Vine and Zapata. They are literally all in a row. So as you said, French restaurant on the corner (La Marmite) , then Golden Vine, Voodoo and Zapata. As for Voodoo, used to be a favourite of mine when I was in PP, relaxed, about 10 Khmer all girl staff, from average to stunners and barfines all avaiable besides the cashier- good service fun bar, cheap drinks and a good pool table. Howies is right nextdoor to Heart Of Darkness. Basically between HOD and is that new biggish hotel called the Newcastle Hotel. Anyways Howies when I have dropped in for beers is generally dead with little to no girl action. That said, I like it for a chilled beer, as in its close to everything without the stress. NayNayStar sounds like a good place for me as I will be with the Mrs, but she will go off and do things with her friends so I can find time to play in the day. As long as I don't bump into any of her friends at any of the places I like to frequent. Hmmmm-I am so keen to get back to Cycree, you know exactly what you are going to get and the girls give pretty good.

Really appreciate you takng the time to put this report together. I will be visiting in Sept and this does help even though I have been there before. Will update on the places after I return and hopefully add new information.

where to find vietnamese girls:

cathouse on 118/51 has the best looking ones but you have to put in work. city bar on 110 has the best looking ones who will easily barfine. they'll go 25 short time.

vietnamese freelancers can be found in martini's in good numbers. some look average or better, but things often change when you get under the neon lights in the guest house and start taking off clothes. there are also quite a few in nagaworld who look okay. walkabout and sorya mall have some, but in my opinion usually not very good.

i forgot to mention one more place that should have gone under "independent locations."

golden boss. this is on the east side of riverside (sisowath quay) where it meets street 94. it's aimed more toward khmer guys and maybe chinese and koreans than barang, but you're welcome to visit. it's a lot different than the normal hostess bars. a number of khmer women, some of whom are extremely beautiful, get all dressed up and wait for customers. the special thing is that they sing and do an old fashion style of dancing that is something to see, especially since there is a small orchestra playing the music! and what's more, they are all available! a little more cultured. they probably won't [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134][CodeWord134][/url] in the shower or spit food on the floor like some of the others will. expect to pay around $50 for a go with one, but you have to negotiate with the girl directly.

and i can update a little more.

the "italian bar" mentioned in appendix ii is called zambezi, which of course is not an italian name but an african one, from the big river in africa. it has four khmer girls of average looks who are friendly. they all barfine. i'm guessing it's owned by a malaysian if the flags are any indication. (2/5)

a couple of corrections to johns lisf. the sakura massage is long gone, its now a boutique hotel called teahouse. and just this week the paris was busted, the two owners arrested and 35 women rescued. no doubt the women will be raped and then extorted for money to be released.

i agree, it was a great place, something different from the usual hostess bars. if anyone does know where it has moved to, please let me know!

Zambezi was indeed called Banana Bar in the good old days. At a time when internet didn't really work here they had it sorted along with great food and great girls. Perfect combination.

Long time ago I went to California 2 hotel on riverside, this was a good place in a good location.

Anybody could advice about this hotel? Is ithis still a nice place, nice location, clean and girl friendly? Any advice or similar alternatives?

DV8 is in Street 144 near Kandal Market. Until recently it was on its last legs, but I went there two weeks ago and it has come alive again with about 12 girls, some very attractive. About half will go with customers. A few look very young. Worth a visit.

Voodoo Lounge on Street 108 just next to Zapata Bar, has been closed for over a year. It used to be a very popular bar. The current American owner has been re-furnishing it very slowly. He also owns a mobile bar built onto a trailer, complete with seats, music and two girls. It's sometimes seen on Street 136.

Secret's cafe was on the other side of Zapata Bar on Street 108. It specialised in young skinny girls and had a weird interior with a mannequin sitting at one of the tables. It then became Enigma Bar and has just changed ownership but kept its name. The new owners are big bike lovers, so expect a few Harleys outside if you visit.

Thanks for the list John. Going to S. E. A. For the first time mid-August and this list will come in handy for the couple days I spend in Phnom Penh (going for 3 months but 2 months will be at Koh Tao doing Muay Thai, rest of the time will be backpacking / mongering).

Thanks.[/QUOTE]Depend on when you visited it, at the lod location close to the Palace or the latest location close to street 102. It was OK at the old location but today it is very much an inner circle hotel. If you do not belong to the regulars you can easy get the impresion that you are not really welcome. At the current location I only stayed once when just opened and on my last trip I only had lunch twice, which was OK. Food at Pickled Parrot in Street 104 or at the Green Vespa is better. Rooms are clean, it is girl friendly but all regulars will stare at you when U-turn up with a girl, ask for the key and have to go the long walk all along the bar to the stairs. If you don't mind it is still at a very good location, but there are similar and better options around.

John, I really liked your report, its rare to see such an extensive information.

I just wanted to make a point on those 3 places, probably they were better some years ago, but I still see them as classics, and last year it was there and not in any other place I found my girls, its true in Walkabout most of the are in the loew end, but for those living near 51 Street, it a real comodity to be able to go there at almost any hour of the day.

1/5 on Martini and Walkabout was really harsh in my opinion, but of course its your report.

red bar. yes, my assumption was correct. this is now domino, already reviewed.

moepara. it is indeed closed. some of the staff ended up on street 172 at another japanese bar (sorry, don't know the name).

nightflight. average sized bar. maybe a dozen khmer girls. average in looks. some less than. friendly enough. most will barfine. (1. 5/5)

hooters. definitely open. i guess they were just closed the day i went past for some reason. may have even been too early.

anyone know of any reliable oral performers? probably one of the worst things about living here is the general lack of skill in that regard. thinking of taking a holiday just to get some deep throat!
