The name comes from the fact that they are geared for locals making clandestine trysts and literally pushing a button to raise a garage door in a motel where you drive your vehicle in, close the door behind you, and transact your business with the inn keeper, all through a little slot. BTW, I was at another hotel once near the Av Argentina, there they had a parking garage. Once I drove in with my car, I could directly proceed with the elevator to my floor, no front desk hassles.

The pool is nice but the breakfast isn't very good. Some rooms have stovetops in addition to the microwave, and some have full size fridges and others, half-sizes. So schmooze the desk clerk when you check in.

I have been moving around every couple days now. I'm going to try this place tomorrow for 2 days. It seems located pretty good. Not a bad walk from Habano's or Ashse. A guy said they charged him $80 to bring "a friend" in to his room. Women at Veneto say the Veneto still charges. Everyone says the Hyatt is good. I stayed where I am now from AIRBNB. The guy just about says in plain English on AIRBNB that you are more than free to bring hookers to your room. And I did last night with no problem. It is only about 3 minutes to walk to Veneto. It is good for the price, but I am not use to sharing a bathroom and the rest of the house with people I don't know. But I wanted to use the washer and dryer, so it was good for me. Just look on AIRBNB for places near where you want. My total was $76 for 2 nights. I washed two loads of clothes, so that made it more of a value.

I got a good price on the Hotel Tower House Suites. I did a search for it on Kayak, then it gave me the best price on Easyclicktravel. I used them once before without a problem. My total after taxes is only $97.18 for Friday and Saturday night. [URL]Booking.com[/URL] would have been about $116 after taxes. I could have gotten the Hyatt for 2 nights for only $150, and I'd get 10% back. But, I'll try out the Hotel Tower House Suites instead.

Has anyone been to Golden Time lately? Haven't read a report about that place in a long time. Wanted to know if it's still worth going there over Habanos.

Breakfast was mediocre but rooms and service were great and never a hassle with bringing back a girl (or two). When you check in look across the street, if the construction is going on then definitely get a room in the back. Had a great room in the front first night but at 4. 00 in the morning they started with the jackhammer across the street. I was one of many changing to the back after that night. If interested, the best restaurant I have ever been to in Panama and actually one of the best anywhere was a restaurant in Casco Viejo called Caliope. Make a reservation. YMMV but we all loved the meal and the service and the desserts were unbelievable. Went over to Red Lion for Happy Hour most days. The girls were very friendly, hugging us Hello, and goodbye every time after the first visit. Last thing as others have mentioned. Use Uber if you have the app. Every vehicle was brand new, air conditioned and friendly drivers and rides were cheap. Cost was about $3. 08 from Hyatt to Casco.
