The tale of the Cameltoe. Or - Bangkok picking up speed
First of all, I would like to thank the previous posters for their reports, def shed some light on the situation and helped me to plan my time more efficiently.
Yesterday afternoon I strolled through the Sukhumvit area just to get an impression before the weekend. Started around Noon and walking to Soi Cowboy: This place is now a popular Lunch place for Locals with food stalls spreading throughout the street. And night it's completely dark. Said to open in Jan.
From their went straight to the Nana area: The cpl of bars that were open was serving Single, middle-aged men sitting by themselves, table by table, hoping for some talent to arrive.
Quite a sad site to be honest.
Continued strolling down the street towards ASOK (incl the side streets off Soi 7). Just a few places seemed to be open with no one there except for maybe 1 or 2 middle-aged women. The other places all appeared to be under renovation.
Out of curiosity, I decided to check the same places out after dinner, and boy was I surprised:
The places off Soi 7 (near the Beer Garden) was packed and jumping. My guess was 200-300 people with a 50-50 Mix. Once off the sidewalks people didn't seem to care about wearing a mask anymore.
And there it was when I saw this skinny Spinner playing Pool in this tight body suit. It was so tight that she practically could have worn nothing at all. I could even tell that she was completely shaved. The nicest Cameltoe I've seen in years!!
Spent about an hour there and decided to check out Nana.
I addition to MaxBKKs report: I had a chat with one of the bartenders in the Center Bar. They just opened today and she said she expects that all places will open in January.
At 23:00 sharp, the place gets dark and most people begin to leave. The same happened at the places around Soi 7 because the sidewalks were crowded. What I noticed though was that, by that time, quite a number of people were reluctant to wear their mask. Especially the girls.
Past Thermae and the Sofitel area. I would say 30-40 girls in the street. Some Cuties, some elderlies, some ladyboys.
Hope all will stay well.
Let's hope.
