To second Smoothy's statement, I wonder if those who feel happy by not paying anything for a night of sex do have any idea of the standard of living of those girls ...

To put things into perspective, you probably do not know that a secreatary, especially a young one, (and she has to be still good looking and nice to shag), would not earn more than 1.5 million Rupiah per MONTH at most.

That is supposed to feed her, pay for her clothing, pay for her transport, (exclusively taxis at night, and they are not cheap), pay her medical bills, her entry fee to BATS, CJ's and the like (around 70,000 Rups), pay for her drinks (minimum 50,000 Rups) when there's no one to pay for them, and more likely than not, support her family as well.

Do you know that a meal (rice + vegetables + meat) from one of the 300,000 street food stalls for locals in Jakarta cost only 7,000 Rupiahs ?

Do the maths and work out how much would she have left after she's paid for the above, provided you'd given her, say 350,000 Rups for a short time ... and then how much of her salary would have gone into that one night if you did not give her anything ...

Though this may be a blow to the ego and manhood of those who don't pay anything for sex, these girls are there ONLY to try and supplement their earnings: they don't fall in love with you at firs sight, no matter how good looking you think you are, (even if most of them prefer to be with bules), and they don't go with you only because your dick makes them go wild (no matter how well endowed you think you are too): don't kid yourself, they're in it ONLY for what they HOPE they can get from you.

But, as Smoothy said, they are usually, (though again less and less), too shy and too nice to ask for money: that does not mean they don't need it.

And last but not least, never forget that Indonesia is probably the cheapest place on earth to have great sex, even at the higher rates: in the US, you have to pay a minimum of 140 USD (1.3 million Rups) for a quickie and be done in 15 minutes in shitty asian MP's while in Europe, and depending where, you'd have to cough up a minimum of 70 Euros (840,000 Rups), for a shot in Spain while it would costs hundreds of Euros in France and elsewhere.

So, next time you take a girl back for sex in Indonesia, remember the above and be fair to her: put at least 500,000 Rups in her purse before she leaves in the morning: it's only the price of a meal for two in a medium range restaurant for expats in Jakarta, or a taxi ride fare in Europe ...

See my response on the subject to Smoothy. I have been in Jakarta for about 2 years, so I am well aware of the local circumstances that you describe, thanks.

Many of the girls will also try to turn you into a boyfriend. And trust me, you will spend so much more money on this new "girlfriend" than if you had just paid her 1 Juta for each pop.

Its amusing that the subject of payment should arise in this forum when it has also arisen in the Philippines forum under a different guise - whereby one member was accused of "spoiling the market rate" !

To the point however I second the comments of Smoothy and Knight 1001 in terms of at least giving something back to the girls. Most times I will not repeat with a girl if she even mentions money after the session. I find that the girls who don't ask for money are always the best for GFE. Many times I'll walk the girl down to the taxi without giving her any money just to see if she says anything. I'll then hug her goodbye and slip her some money. If she didn't complain about money up to that point, I consider them a girl I'll take a second time. Like I mentioned before, that still happens about 50% of the time with the girls I take home. Those girls are bad news anyway and I avoid them. For someone visiting town for a week, they are fine. But if you live in Jakarta, you are asking for trouble going with those girls.

Bebek, there is only one female named Cynthia working at Kartika, although several other girls may pretend to be "Cynthia," especially if she's upstairs with a client or not on duty. You're right MDII. The location of Golden Horses is not ideal, and the shopping center at Mines (?) is nothing compared to KLCC. Maybe she has been there before and was impressed by the lake and the beach, not to mention the special means of transportation.
