Can we continue the hotel discussion in the Bangkok Hotels thread http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/forum/showthread.php?1029-Bangkok-Hotels.
That way this thread stays on topic, and in the future people looking for some Bangkok Hotel info might actually find it.
That is something that you should never do and you paid the price. The standard advice is not to pay until after your session is over.
Many massage shops now like the "Japanese" model of paying a set price including FS before you go to the room. I don't like the idea and much prefer the places that charge you for the massage and you decide if chemistry is good in the room to pursue further.
If its your first trip, I would rule out Cambodia, unless you want to see the Angkor ruins. Your success rate will be low and your danger factor will be high.
Until the CCPCovid screwed up my life (oh what a whiner I am, fat rich farang can't travel, waaaah, what an inhumane POS I am for saying that) I was living in Siem Reap. Even if you know what you are doing (eg. Make sure to carry a stick to beat off the street dogs) the quality is depressing. But drugs and life are cheap.
I'm sure there is a scene in PP, but that's all there is. Cute girls everywhere though, but not for tourists.
I agree, Phnon Penh is not for the newbie or faint hearted.
Scams there as in straight out robbery and theft are 10 times more prevalent and likely to occur to you than they do in Thailand.
And the police will be of very very little help.
They know what happens, and seemingly allow it too.
I have been there many times, and even the last one I put myself in a "situation".
Luckily I twigged to the situation being played in the massage shop, the girl too willing then not, and sensed something amiss.
A quick check of my pants placed on a room hanger near a curtain showed I was correct.
My wallet was gone and the curtain concealed a hidden window hole.
A quick naked sprint to the front found two small Khmer men down a small access way switching fake US $100 bill fro my real money.
They had no way out past me.
Fists up by me, a big piece if wood picked up I told them to stop.
Money and wallet dropped by them, they tried to escape, but couldn't.
I backed them up, grabbed my wallet, and money, real and fake from the ground.
Carefully retreated back to the room screaming for the police, a ploy as I knew they wouldn't come.
Dressed, money and wallet back in pants, I walked out, wood still in hand, ready to fight it of I had to.
They all backed off, men that is, girl behind me scream in for payment, me politely and calmly wording obscenities.
I left, sat in a restaurant and proceeded to catalog my losses.
I was lucky, I had all my real notes and many of their fake ones.
The restaurant staff were empathetic to my story, telling me a similar tale of fake money switched had occurred earlier that day to a customer in the hotel opposite.
He had been stung by the girl in his room, only finding the issue much much later in the day.
They even got the police who were still there to come and talk to me.
Very surprisingly they wanted me to take them to the shop, which I did.
All the players were still there and I listened as they talked in Khmer.
Clearly the policeman was wanting them to return my money, telling me he would do so, and intimating for a cut of the recovery.
Eventually he believed them when they said they had given it all back, and asked me if that was correct.
I said it was, and he basically told me all was good and suggested that I leave.
Which of course I did, as I knew the game.
He was now going to shake them down for a share of their take from other customers they'd successfully robbed.
Walk past the shops until you see one that has a masseuse that suits you. When in the room just tell the girl you don't want the handjob. It is as easy as that.
The personnel available in the shops changes too fast to be able to give you a workable answer. And anyhow, it are probably the older women that are (a) more or less fixed to a shop and (b) usually they give you the best massage.
Big problem.
Put yourself in girls shoes. You are pretty.
Are you going to rub a naked man for an hour with no Big Pay Opportunity at the end?
I found this profile in massagerepublic website: https://massagerepublic.com/female-escorts-in-bangkok/ling-independent-i-am-in-sukhumvit.
I added her Line ID and made an appointment for an hour. She asked me to pay 1200 Baht as a deposit and gave me her bank account.
After a successful transfer I got the address in a hotel. Imagine my surprise when I saw a totally different girl opened the door.
The girl was very skinny, not pretty and did not look like the girl in the website. Not at all.
Well, I guess this will be my first and last online booking. Next time I will simply visit the parlours by myself.
Have a Zoom interview with the Prostitute of choice.
I know maybe this isn't the right place but.
Does anyone know of a legit massage shop (or at least no happy ending forced) with at least one cute / young girl working there? In lower Sukhumvit area or any place around a BTS / MRT station.
Of course cute / young is relative, I don't expect a beauty but I just want a massage by a reasonable looking girl (and not the usual overweight / old women I see in most legit shops).
My go to for legit massage is Lovely Massage soi 19 right hand side about 100 meters in. New, spotless and professional staff. Reasonable looking is relative but my regular masseuse, not overweight / old is a lady called Nid who used to work in Tarntip on 7.
Hello folks.
I'll be in bkk in a week.
Given current state of opening of Go-Go's and bars and FS massage places, would you recommend hotels in Patpong or Sukhumvit areas?
Cheers and happy celebrations.
Nomadic.
Reading Fiwfans and see multiple references "not accept size 56".
You big man.

Cheers and happy celebrations.
As of this writing, there is only a total of about 5 bars on Patpong 1 and 2 that are operating as outdoor beer bars with maybe 7-8 girls sitting mostly in the dark at each one. There are also a couple of go-gp bars that appear to be allowing customers to sit indoors but there are no girls in bikinis or dancers onstage, just servers and a few bargirls sitting inside.
By contrast, the lower Sukhumvit / Nana / Soi Cowboy area has dozens of open beer bars, half of the ground floor space inside Nana Plaza is operating as one big crowded beer bar and there are now hundreds of girls in, around and strolling between the bars on Soi 4, inside Nana Plaza, Soi 6, Soi 7, Soi 7/1, Soi 8, Soi 11 and all along Sukhumvit Road from Soi 4 and Soi 3 to Soi Cowboy.
I see several Happy Ending massage shops open with ladies of both original genders sitting outside of them in the lower Sukhumvit area. I did not notice many in the Patpong area as I passed through. But I should say I was not on the lookout for them because they are not really my thing.
would you recommend hotels in Patpong or Sukhumvit areas?
Nomadic.
You forgot Khaosan road, it is bustling right now with an alley dedicated and named as Walking street there with no cams allowed in the alley.
The question should be Khaosan or Sukhumvit.
The winner is sukhumvit but someone should make a ground visit to Khaosan as all of this is based on youtube reports.
Pattaya had the highest crowd of girls and customers yesterday. Reported by my Indian friends on youtube. Almost all bars are working with some clubs like Hooters working too, as seen in their youtube videos. Not many freelancers on the beach road but you can find them at other popular spots and bars in Pattaya.
The airline "Thai smile" is going to fly since 2nd January with only 3 flights per week, while from 15th January it will fly daily.
Bangkok also has the Nana plaza operating with girls and customers till 11 in night now. Many bars working and many clubs working too. Mongers can have fun for sure.
If you want a completely bustling city right now itself, then take 1 more flight from bangkok to Phuket and you will see 50 girls standing outside popular bars.

Before my first trip in Cambodia I read many reports about robberies in massage parlors, that's exactly the reason I never tried any massage parlor over there except one legit foot massage in Siem Reap.
And for theft being 10 times more prevalent than in Thailand, I really doubt it, unless you've got some personal experiences to share of course.
Given current state of opening of Go-Go's and bars and FS massage places, would you recommend hotels in Patpong or Sukhumvit areas?
I'm likely the biggest Patpong fan on here but even pre-COVID it may be difficult to stay there more than a week because hobbying is so limited. Exception would be if you're Japanese or can speak Japanese and have Thaniya Road accessible to you.
ET's update supports no reason to be there now.

I've never felt unsafe in PP. There are always people in the RLD no matter what time it is. Sure the walk through empty pitch black streets to Cyrcee may be a bit sketch but just take a motorbike for 1 USD instead. Which area(s) are not for the faint hearted? Maybe I haven't been there.
Won't argue about the police though. Get caught for speeding with a taxi driver who drives 140 kmh between Sihanoukville and PP? Pay them 10-20 USD and you're on your way.
I would definitely choose Sukhumvit area. There is more happening there and you have easy access to the BTS.
At one point Patpong was barely a smidgen of Fun. That was years ago. The Junta killed off any level of Happiness left when it took over.
Seems a running theme going on post Shinawatra.
Those Karaoke bars are a wonder. They cater to Japanese yet if you watch for half an hour you will rarely see any going in. Then if they do go in they come out real fast.
