...and which place is better?
Don't tell me now Santo Domingo!
Yes, Santo Domingo would be just one of many places. The problem most guys have with SD is they come expecting another Sosua. Santo Domingo takes time to learn the ins and out, plus transporation is a key factor.
If you can only do one or two trips a year than Sosua would the place to go. From my experience once the chicas hit Sosua they have learned their trade in other cities and a short time in Sosua they turn hardcore. Now if hardcore putas is what you like stay in Sosua.
I have yet to talk with anyone who has traveled in the country rate Sosua as the place to be. Once you leave Sosua you will see rep dom is a very beautiful country with some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
I much prefer taking a chica to a baseball game, movies, Carnaval, or even the amusement park in Santo Domingo than sitting at Classicos drinking beer and talking shit........just me
Lol gotta say you guys are funny!
Nothing free in sosua?
LMFAO
Next time i go down there i post & whoever wants to see how you can get an 8-9 hot looking girl for free bring your pen & pad and tag along
Simply put
Step your game up!!

I guess I fit this category, except I like the Santo Libre's and cannot stand ANY beer. And I'm not in Classico's long enough to talk shit, lol!
But yeah, Sosua to me is like Six Flags; you arrive, ride the rides, take pics, and go home :)
Been to Sosua probably 50 times. Been to Santo Domingo probably 4 times but will be returning to SDQ shortly and genuinely looking forward to it. Other than to look up some gringo friends in Sosua, there is really no other reason to go back. Same spots, different day.
Like some other guys that used to hang out in Sosua alot, I have found other places.

Bikini contest and Beer at FOD, BBQ and Beer, Girls and Beers.
Hope to see you at the party.
Bottoms off
Here's an idea. Since BB's does their awesome "Bikini Contest" every other Saturday, why not have FOD do their version on the other Saturdays that BB's isn't doing their event. Avoids competition and keeps the scene active.
And what qualifies me to make this statement you might ask? I was at both locations first week in January (stayed at BB's) and banged out contestant #6 at the early Jan contest at BB's. FOD was just getting reorganized after a lull and the new American manager was quite open to ideas to bring FOD back up to standard. So take this one for what its worth.
Actually rent is so cheap that you can take a couple years and investigate. Home values are going down because the earth quake line actually goes thru the DR. But here's a secret I don't usually share. Wait until Cuba opens up fully. That will be like a valcum going thru the Caribbean. Everyone will go to Cuba which initially will hurt the DR. Then you buy at your price.
But Cuba has no private property. I mean like NONE. It will take years to settle all the land claims and get that property back to its rightful owners who had it stolen by the Commies in the early 60's. Then, what to do with all those poor families living on/in all those unmaintained apartment buildings and run down collectivized fincas. Can't just tell them all to leave, can we?
I'm torn with the idea of retiring to Cuba vs the DR after we get rid of the Commies. And WE will, no doubt. But how will I go about buying property when I arrive? Who do I buy it from? Are their any deeds? Who owned this really nice parcel I want to build my version of BlackBeards/FOD on in 1961? Shall I pour tons of cash building my dream house here only to have the rightful Cuban-American owners show up with solid proof of ownership? OOPS! Talk about a "cloud" on the title. WHOA!
Yes, it will get fixed, in a couple of decades. I'm still leaning towards the DR.
Second trip to DR my first post. I first went to DR for a short 4 day at BB which was great and safe. I will be arriving this time on March 1-8 but BB is full. So I will be staying at FOD from the 1-3 and not really sure after that but planning on heading to Sosua and flying solo so I can test out the difference between having chica's spoon fed vs. Hunting for them myself which should be interesting. I'm having a hard time getting a room in Sosoua as well due to last minute planning. New Garden is full and I'm waiting to hear back from Sea Breeze for the Sosua part of my trip. If anyone wants to hook up in Sosua March 3rd I make a good wingman but my spanish is not the best, I can still manage to talk to the chicas. BB was great last time I was there in dec 06. Since then I've been having lots of fun in south east asia.
Bacon. If you're still looking for a place to stay, try this brand new place in Sosua called, "Hotel El Rancho". I stayed there for one night on 12/29. Chica friendly and owned by a nice English speaking lady from Costa Rica. Least expensive room is $45 USD but they have slightly more expensive options. Located 3 minute walk from NG and 5 minutes from the scene. Address: 36 Calle Dr. Rosen. Located in a quieter side street too and right around the corner from Sea Breeze. I banged a nice 19 y/o in room #20 if memory serves me right. Place still has that new construction smell to it. Decent cheap breakfast and good coffee in their little bar out back. A boutique kind of place. Recommended. PM me for the website since they censure that stuff here. Take care.

The cruise ships are jockeying for port leases(rumored).
Eighty miles from the US and untouched in the last fifty years. Developer, investor and tourist will flock in troves.
The only thing stopping it from happening now is Fidel stubborness and his spite of the US. Once Fidel dies everything will happen.
How do you solve the land issue? It all depends on the US governments stand on this issue. Will development win out and the government ignores this issue or will they stand by the Amercan cubans who have a claim. My prediction is if Cuba denounces communism, people who have legitamate claims will be compensated partially. This will take the politics out, and encourage development of Cuba.
No matter what happens your going to have some pissed Cubans. Either the ones who are there now and lose what they have or the cubans in America who's claims will be ignored.

The hard part is as you say"people expect sosua".
But the sleaze of sosua is so attractive right now. It's like banging that ugly neighborhood girl that everybody says they would never touch.
It's good to know bbq ribs and jaososua are there to show us when were ready.

Staying at Rocky's.
Can anyone who has recently been to Sosua report on the "scene"? Buscemi recently reported (via the photo gallery) chicas to mongerers running 4:1. Can anyone else verify this? I'm not due there until a few more weeks and was just trying to get a current "lay of the land."
Also, the last time I was there you had k*ds who would ask you for money while you ate and some of them would just stand there until you either gave them something or the waiter would ask them to leave. Has this gotten better or worse? I have no problem giving anything, it's just that once you do it you tend to see the same one over and over again, or word spreads and then the rest of them will come at you with their hands out!
