This is my first time posting in this forum.

I just want to share my experiences with the girls of the QQ.

The QQ is an instant messaging software. You can download the english version and it is very easy to use.

There are several websites where you can find the QQ girls (they have pictures and a QQ number) , then you contact them. Most of them have their own apartments where you meet them and do your business.

Usually they can't speak or type any english. So you must communicate with them in Chinese.

The first question that I ask them is wether they receive foreigners. From my experience about 50% of them refuse to receive foreigners.

Then you can visit their QQ space webpage, where you can check out more pictures. If you like the girl, then you must ask for the price (usually around 400). Address and phone number. Go to the address call them and the will open the door for you.

They always look better in the pictures than what they actually are, so choose carefully. I really like to meet girls like this, its cheap and intimate. You can always ask them to do a video verification through the QQ before you go there in order to be sure that you like the girls.

Back in January, after I RTFF, I posted a few questions to this board, and I want to give a sincere thank-you to those who replied to me. Due to limited time in Shanghai, I knew that I would only have a chance to visit 2 or 3 places. Below is a brief description of where I went.

Based on one reply that told me that perhaps the easiest place to find that offered soapy massages was probably Si Yuan, I decided to go there first. (For a non-Chinese speaking foreigner, easy to find is a big plus)

Si Yuan is on the 3rd floor of the Merry Lin Hotel, on 818 Zhang Yang Lu across from Intercontinental Hotel. It is walking distance from Century Ave Station (metro lines 2, 4.6, 9 all go to Century Ave Station). The line-up had several very attractive girls, and they offer soapy massage. The girl I chose did not speak English (and for some reason she repeatedly tried speaking to me in Chinese even though it was obvious I did not understand Chinese). Despite the language barrier, it was still quite an enjoyable session (It was my first-ever soapy massage). Unfortunately, I did not think to remember the girl's number. My session included a "bubble massage", shower chair clean-up, soapy massage, BBBJ, and FS. I would definitely be willing to repeat next time I am in Shanghai.

After SiYuan, I walked around looking for Sacrosa (so that I would know where it was for future reference) since I saw that it was nearby. I did not see it, but when I got back to my hotel, I saw that there were specific directions available (that I did not have with me while walking around. I only have handwritten notes with me as I walk around, since I would face very expensive roaming charges if I used my smart phone in China. Except in WiFi zones). For reference, these instructions are pasted below: (Note, these instructions are pasted from another poster; I did not actually go to Sacrosa myself. They are for the benefit of others that, like myself, can benefit from specific instructions starting from a Metro station).

"Just take the #2 line to Dongchang Road station. Use exit #4 which will deposit you on the corner of Pudong Road (S). Then walk down Pudong Road (S) for about 2 blocks. You'll See the Next Age Shopping center. You have to walk into the courtyard sort of place. As repeated many times the entrance between the UBC Coffee and the Steak King. It's not marked. Just go through the doors and take the elevator to the 5th floor."

My understanding is that Sacrosa is cheaper than SiYuan, but does not include soapy.

Based on a positive review I saw, I went to Shanghai Hotel. I took the line 2 subway to the Jing'An temple stop, then walked to the hotel. The hotel is on Wulumuqui Street behind the Hilton. The spa is on the 2nd floor. Soapy massage did not appear to be available here. For some reason, I though I had read that it was. Although the session was still fairly good, I definitely prefer SiYuan due to the availability of soapy massage. Since the session at Shanghai Hotel cost about the same as SiYuan, I doubt that I would repeat at the Shanghai Hotel. In addition, I felt a bit awkward at the Shanghai Hotel sauna. First, you get naked and sit in a small pool. Next they lead you to an area where you get a massage from a old guy. (I DID NOT want this, and it took a while to get this point across since I don't speak Chinese). Then, they lead you to a steam room, and I was in there for longer than I wanted to be, but again had a hard time communicating this. When I finally did get to the point of choosing a girl and going to the room, the session was rather enjoyable, including a massage,"bubble massage", BBBJ, and FS. This part was very enjoyable, but still I would very likely choose other places rather than repeating here.

Last, I went to Bodi (1245 Longyang). I took line 7 to the Yanggao Road stop. Exited the station, turned right, and walked for about 20-25 minutes. Had to walk beyond Bodi to the next road where I could walk across a brigde across the highway. Enter sauna from separate entrance to the left of the hotel (can not get there from hotel entrance.) After my first two experiences, I thought it would be nicer if I was with an English-speaking girl, so at the fishbowl, I asked if any of the girls spoke English. Only one girl responded that she did, so I picked her. (Once again, I did not think to remember the girl's number). The session at Bodi was fairly similar to the one at Si Yuan. I would definitely repeat next time I am in Shanghai.

I understand that you can ask at your hotel for cab instructions in Chinese to these places, but I did not want to do this. Therefore, I just chose places that I could get to by walking from a metro station. For future reference, can anyone tell me if either "Waves" or "999" are near Metro stations? I tried to find this information, but I was not successful.

BTW, I always ask them the price first and then tell them that I am a foreigner. I do not like the laowai fee at all.

PS: I will not say RTFF since I think the problem is not that people is lazy to search / read, but that the search feature really needs to be improved.

If I recall correctly, both places charged 800 RMB My memory could be slightly wrong, but if that price is not exactly correct, it is definitely pretty close.

Both places offered essentially identical services as well. Therefore, which one winds up better for you would be depend more on the individual girl that you choose than the place. Since I don't have any specific girl's number to recommend for you, I would say that whichever one is easier to get to for you is the one to go to. I read many pages on this thread, and I got the impression that overall, more posters gave a slight edge to Bodi. My opinion is you will get very similar (good) service at either place.

Just wanted to extend my thanks to all you fellow mongers. I spent 3 days in shanghai and after significant RTFFing and note taking, had a great time. Unfortnately because of work commitments I couldn't make it to the saunas, was definitely hoping for a bodi experience. Next time. I did visit manhattans and Malones though. At manhattans went with a pretty Vietnamese woman, asked for 2, settled at 1. 5 for the night.

For other shanghai first timers, I wanted to give two suggestions:

1) The forum has plenty of names and addresses. However, taxis (which are very cheap) tend to speak absolutely no English. Also you may think you are saying the address but to their ears they hear someone quite different. I found it invaluable to decide where I was going, go on the [url]www[/url], and literally print out the Chinese address with the Chinese characters. Not the English characters, you need to have the Chinese characters.

2) Strangely, many wgs especially at Manhattans do not seem to have condoms. Fortunately I bought a pack in a pharmacy. But you definitely want to get yourself some condoms as you cannot assume they will provide them.

I have a flight and can choose to stop over in Singapore, kl or Hong kong. From a pure mongering perspective, which of these is best? I assume hk, but maybe others can directly compare from experience?

Either Singapore or Hong Kong, definitely not KL. Singapore might be easier since Geylang is an organized red light district kind of thing.

Went yesterday to one of the BBS in Laoshan Road / Qixin Road. Standard rates. She started to quote 300 and agreed to 200. Then you leave the room through the backdoor and you get to the basement of these residential buildings. Around one corner and they use one of the basement rooms for the customers. They even built a small shower and I hope the girls use it from time to time. After the action you have to possibility to leave the basement through the normal staircase. Quit conveniant.

A couple of weekends ago I was in Shanghai.

Visit Heting sauna. Very easy to find. Too the metro there. I arrived around 1:30 on Saturday afternoon. Place was very busy, had to wait on shower. After shower, I sat in the waiting area for about 15 minutes. Me and 2 other Chinese punters were taken to the lineup. 8 girls, ranging for 6 to 8. 5. I choose #171. Very good service. 2 shots. Great BBBJTC. Back door not an option.

Went to manhattan bar Saturday night. Place was packed, but I did not connect with any. Prices quoted from 500 to 2000. Girls ranged from 5's to maybe 7. 5.

Personally I prefer saunas than picking up girls at manhattan bar. Saunas are much safer, cheaper, fail safe bet. They know what they are doing and I rarely have a bad experience at saunas. Manhattan is very hit / miss.
