Planning a trip next week. Are the clubs MIXX, Shock 39 open?

Do the Russians, Central Asian, Indians still in there to be picked up? Or is it dead.

Any new night clubs that have the Russians these days?

A couple places were busy, but most were near empty or closed. I walked out of one of the agogo places a little after 11 and was surprised to see how much Nana had cleared out over the prior hour.

Appreciate if anyone can share some review about this club.[/QUOTE]I feel that G-Clubs like The Pimp get overlooked a lot because honestly, it's not a cheap experience, especially if your only goal is to get laid, in which you're probably better off looking for freelancers or gogo bars. I've had nights where the total bill came to 100,000 baht, BUT because I was with a group of mates, we ended up paying around 20,000 baht each.

How The Pimp (and most G-Clubs) work is that they try to get you to buy a "membership", which is basically a package deal where you're committing yourself to X number of bottles of alcohol like JW Black, Chivas, etc. If you can't finish, don't worry, they will keep them for you for a year and you can go back and finish it without having to pay the membership again, so think of it like "prepayment".

Because of this system, it's usually a better idea to go with your mates because you can split the bill and get VIP rooms and that's where the girls go REALLY wild (almost everything goes, short of sex). I've sat in the main public area of The Pimp before and it's not quite as fun. The band / DJ is usually way too loud and it's hard to talk and you just end up shouting over each other. VIP rooms are where it's at and all of them have karaoke machines so you can sing if that's your kind of thing, and some have private pool tables. I think there's even one room that has its own private jacuzzi.

As to barfines, ST, and LT, that's entirely up to you. Unlike gogo bars, there's no pressure to bring the girls home with you. In fact, I think many girls choose to work at places like The Pimp because there is no expectation of sex, or at least no obligation. You CAN take girls home and I have, but it's usually too expensive to be worth it. The mamasan explained that the rates to take a girl home is entirely between you and the girl (I've seen instances where the girl quoted 10,000 baht, which was basically an indirect way of saying no), but the barfine is fixed and IIRC, it was a crazy amount like 5,000 or 6,000 baht.

While it is quite different from gogo bars, some of the concepts are carried over, like lady drinks. The girls at these G-Clubs usually get paid in "lady drinks" which aren't actual drinks (they always drink from your bottle), but their time. I can't speak for other G-Clubs but at The Pimp, they were charging around 350 baht every 30 minutes.

It can be dangerous because if you have fun, you could easily rack up 5-6 hours worth of lady drinks.

Would I recommend going to G-Clubs? If you are going with friends and are willing to spend, yes. If you're going alone, it might be tricky but if you're curious enough, why not?

This bit of intel comes from a couple of Nana Plaza go-go girls who, of course, will always shade their story to fit their overall agenda with me or any other customer at the moment. So take this with a giant grain of salt. But it might be worth noting. Names and exact locations are omitted so as not to possibly inhibit the flow of future intel.

It seems several go-go girls in more than one Nana Plaza go-go bar are looking to stage a somewhat mass exit from the scene. The reason? Because the bar owners and management have been pushing them to hustle ladydrinks and not to go out with a customer during their normal working hours to the point where they are seeing a drop in their monthly income.

On top of which, hustling ladydrinks all shift without at least a 1-2 hour break in there somewhere is harder work than fucking in a hotel room where incessant talking, smiling and listening to endless stories about what a great job and house some dude has back in his home country because he is so brilliant isn't required.

Right now the number of customers and girls are low due to it being midweek and many of the more financially successful girls have gone back to their province for Songkran.

But, according to some girls, customers are not returning for repeat go-go and beer bar experiences because they discovered too much of the time they are being pestered for drinks drinks drinks drinks for this one and that one while the girl they originally targeted comes up with some lame excuse for not accepting a barfine and sex session with them.

Believe it or not, this scenario has precedence. Back in the days when Crazy House was the new bar around the corner from Soi Cowboy, the girls became known for being some of the best Short Time and Long Time fucks in town. And they were hot.

But after those first couple of years, new mamasans were brought in and, little by little, the place became infamous as one of the worst Ladydrink Hustle scam shops in town.

And, yes, some of the best girls they had complained and left, never to return again. I repeated often with a couple of those girls. I distinctly remember their complaint that the pressure was all about hustling drinks and not going with a customer and what bullshit that was for their overall income and, well, fun. They stopped working at Crazy House for that reason and were promptly replaced with girls who were just fine and dandy with hustling Ladydrinks all night and never touching a penis in the privacy of its owner's hotel room.

Anyway, just passing this along to have in mind when you're sitting with a girl who seems extraordinarily keen on getting you to buy a drink for her cousin, sister, sister's cousin, best friend, best friend's cousin, etc, etc, etc then is not so keen to agree with whatever you want regarding a barfine take out. It very well might not be her preference at all but that the bar she's working in expects it. We, as customers, can effect these "new normal" bar policies by walking when we aren't getting it the way we want.

Sure, we can get their Line info and work around the bars. However, more often than not that means you are not taking the girl in mid-evening when, imo, she is at her fucking best. Maybe it means she will meet you after the bar closes when and especially if that by then shitfaced drunk Thai girl finishes up have a few more drinks and a round of Thai food with all those cousins at an all night eatery sometime in the wee hours of the morning. Or not. Remember, this requires the girl to tack on another couple of hours on either side of her regular work schedule and, hey, they have other things to do in life, too. You will often get pensiled in and then cancelled for that reason as well as told you were cancelled about an hour after the appointment time.

SS.[/QUOTE]What you are saying is only valid for girls who are receiving a salary. The previous poster said the girl was receiving no salary. Also some go-go bars are freelancer bars Baccara for example has zero girls (there number starts with 0) who pay the bar to be able to work that day. They receive no salary from the bar only drink commission and they can come and go as they please (no fines).

I went to some Bangkok bars last night.

Generally, customers are scarce. The streets around Sukhumvit were pretty empty.

Soi Cowboy is quiet, but 50%+ of the bars are open. Crazy House was open, but only the second floor was active. The ladies were not very high quality. Not many customers.

Nana was busier than earlier in the year, more than 50% of the bars on the upper levels are open. But not so many customers. I went into the Erotica go-go, 4 ladies dancing, 2 or 3 customers.

But not tonight. Tonight the Nana Plaza bars are hopping, busy and packed with girls unlike what was happening Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night.

That hip-hop nightclub spot was a gold mine for me my last time in BKK. In 4 days, met 5 good ones from there. Did CIP and / or CIM with all. Man, those were the good times.
