Hey Coupe66, I just want to let you know that EVERY Dominican who wants to meet a foreigner / tourist is looking for money. Having sex with foreigners is one of the biggest forms of employment in the DR. The women fuck old white men, the men fuck fat ugly white women, and even will fuck gay guys for money. And they all have boyfriends, girlfriends, and usually kids by their early 20s. They specialize in getting tourists to think they have a special connection. They may not even ask you for money right away. But they will call you months after you met, and tell you their life story (usually filled with hardship) and try to get you to send them money. This may seem special, but they are working dozens of foreigners with the same story at any given time. Sorry for the harsh truth, but this is the way it is.

I took his point to mean that eventually you have to give up something because most women eventually are not going to let you bang them for free and that is a not DR thing that is women (for most part) thing just about everywhere.
Its the economics that play a part in it DR is poor so the cost to you is much lower but made no mistake the woman (most part) in the USA are just the same the cost are just much higher regardless if you deal with the street, craiglist or you deal with your wife or girlfriend.
The DR is a poor country and yes I have found that some are really pros, but there are a lot that are not but the bottom line is they are poor and if some foreigner comes around and you can get more money in a night that you could get in maybe in 2 months its very tempting the same as it was for me in Brazil. You can do this in the USA with woman that are not so called pros either you would just have a much higher price. You could go to woman in the USA that has a kid or 2 and is making a low wage at some of these jobs and offer her the right price for one night and you might be surprise how many can be called the same thing that we called the women in DR.
I have met a few DR chicas online that I have took out when I came here and had a nice time with and yes I gave them some money but they did not ask. I talked them all online awile before I ever met them, but all of them were poor and so I did not come with the expectations that they were going to be with me and sleep with me and I give them nothing.
Now of course the famous movie stars, rock stars, athletes etc can get the groupies that will sleep with them just for the status of oh I slept with so and so
