I think the police will try to prevent crimes but they probably won't try to chase the bad guys when nothing happens. I saw a machete fight near the station, and the locals yelled "policia". The moto police showed up quickly to stop the fight. Things like these happen once in a while. You don't see them but they are there.

Its an open plan dining mall, with lots of restaurants and bars.

There are no shops open after 9 . Even the Uno closes by then.

I and other BMs have taken the time to post info about this and Nounce took the time to pull the posts about this together. You just need to know where to look . And I just posted this link about a week ago with step by step instructions on how to get there. The ones of us who take the time to post this info are not going to keep doing it over and over. If you take the time to learn how to search the threads and to utilize the whole forum there is a lot more to be gotten out of it.

I am wondering if this month is still a good time to visit Medellin due to rapid rise of covid cases. Daily cases have shot up from 1000 to 12000 a day in a matter of days. Those of you who are in Medellin, has the rising cases made the mongering situation more difficult. More closures, less girls to choose from or is it still business as usual?

And if I did decide to postpone, which month is better to visit. April, May or October?

I have been out late night (2 AM) in Parque Berrio and Plaza Nutibara coming from the bars on Carrera 53. All I seen were the the worker in the plaza pressure washing and buffing the plaza floor, trash trucks and some vagrants. Most businesses were closed. The strip clubs were open on De Greiff right down from Hotel Nutibara. Police were posted outside of the club. Fast food is also open in that area too. Be aware that there is a different element on the streets at that time of night if you are trekking through. I did not have any issues.
