If you read the thread carefully we're talking about the charge to go upstairs at night when they have the bands. There is no cover at the door to get into LA Cafe, but there is to go upstairs.

I went to LA cafe last Friday evening. The place was packed. I was with my gf and her 2 friends and they didn't want to let he friends in because they were wearing flip flops. I finally convinced them to let them in when I explained that we were there to eat some food.

The food was really bad (burger, pizza, chicken wings) and I won't be eating there again. But there were tons of girls in the ground floor and many of them were cute.

We went upstairs after the meal and paid the P100 cover each. The girls upstairs were very nice but there were similar quality girls downstairs that night. Since I had 3 girls with me, I didn't partake but the quality was pretty good.

So day three has been and gone in Manila. I've only had 6 hours sleep since day one and am feeling a little rough around the edges. I planned to visit P Burgos St again last night but dropped Angela from Day Two a txt to see if she wanted to meet up. After a few txts and no reply I had a beer at the hotel and ogled the singer for a while.

I was thinking of calling it a night but took a walk to Havana Cafe again to check out the action before heading off to P Burgos St.

Well, it became apparent that my phone had not received texts when Angela's friend found me at the bar and informed me that Angela was there. So, after the great session from night two I decided to stay with her again. She had a couple of corking young delights with her, with tight bodies, and great attitudes.

We ended up at Icon again until 3:30am this morning and after some nice sandwiches with her friends decided to retire to my room, again.

Pretty much same as the night before. She is a great lover. Havana Cafe again has some great looking women there and I don't think I'll bother with the gogo bar scene next time.

Angela left at 11am this morning. She didn't ask for any "taxi money" she just kissed me and left. I am completely shagged out now and off home tonight.

As I said in the PMs/emails, easy to fall in lust there as Groin Strain found out while still at the arrivals baggage hall...and then later at Havana...too much candy and not enough time or V/C (as Manta Ray has taken it all from the guys on Burgos :D) to really enjoy. Well you should read up on that city in the other city part of the board. There is lots to do there also.

I have been once to Cebu. Not the clubs. But, with a week you can do the mall thing. Just go to a SM or Robinson and walk around. They will let you know they are interested. With a week it is worth a try. If you get one who only wants coffee and chat then you can do the GoGo latter. But, you can have some real GFE fun meeting the shop girls and even moms with the kids. Who manage to find a sitter quick.

But, with only hours in Manila. I think you have plenty of good info

I'm guessing that the fees may be pretty steep using credit card instead of ATM card? Is it worth wiring money to a bank with offices in Philippines just for a two week trip?

i think you'll get raped if you use a credit card, with all types of cash advance fees, and currency exchange fees most likely. you may get charged the atm fees when using an atm also, but i think smaller than the credit card. i never consider the credit card option. depending on how long you are there, you can always bring dollars to exchange, assuming you are american. bring nice $100 bills. lots of places in manila to exchange and also cebu maybe not so many as manila though, but they're there. i prefer to use atm and cash exchange, just have to be very careful about locking your cash up and keeping it safe. not all safes are safe.
