Just back from my 3rd trip to Berlin in a little over a year. Each time I have purchased the 5 day travel card for €35 that covers all the way out to the Airport. I always travel alot on public transport over there, so for €7 per day the ticket is good value, but never once have I met a ticket inspector on any form of transport there.

I presume I have been lucky? I'm sure they make inspections from time to time?

On my trip in May, I bought a one week 1gb data sim from 02, because I didn't want to pay high roaming fees. The guy in the shop had to regisiter it and I needed my passport. It cost 10 euro and worked like a dream in my phone. I had constant 24 hour internet and didn't need to use the wifi back in the hotel, which is always a hassle with the fucking changing passwords.

Last week I brought the card back with me to a different 02 shop because I was staying in a different area, and was informed that it would cost €15 for another 1 gb of data to top up my old card, or I could get a new card for €10 if I had my passport. I had forgot my passport and wasnt bothered trekking back to the hotel. I had my drivers licence but that would not do the babe behind the counter.

The girl recommended I go to the nearby Saturn Mega Electrical Store and get something there. The guys there recommended a Blau. De card costing €10 that included €10 euro credit that would buy 1gb internet for one month. They were happy to register me using my drivers licence. So they registered the card, but somehow fucked it up and it never worked. I never had time to go back to the shop, but a bloke in another shop explained what was wrong. 10 euro down the tubes.

QUESTION: Is there any DATA sim card I can buy in Germany that doesn't need registration and just works out of the box?

I was recently attending Van Kempen, this was the first time since they moved to new location. I had not ordered any deal so I took a chance that there was

From my limited knowledge you have to register due to The Evil Ones and all that. And as you know all too well, many things do not work, straight out of the box. :D

And I have been controlled for valid BVG transport cards numerous times on the various rolling stock here. Maybe once a month or so, but it does happen and as Monsieur Bobo points out, they do disguise themselves in plain urban garb, then the doors close, the train goes, and they work their way down from one end of a car to the other, often in 2-3s. But then, I don't have your angelic face.

I am heading out to Berlin from the UK from Monday 23rd to Thursday 26th September, my first visit and know that there seems to be a lot of choice with the brothels in the area. I had a browse about and Tiffany and King George flat rate brothels seem to have caught my eye. I am curious to know what does King George offer as they seem to offer a flat rate for just under 90 euros, so what is actually included in the price, it does seem too good to be true so I am just a little curious. Any recommends or tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Learn how to use the search feature. Also see Angus Magee blog for list of apartments, websites. What is actually going on obviously changes all the time. You also should at least 1 time visit Artemis. "Seem to have caught your eye" - indeed a very subtle concept.

Tiffany fine IMHO though it sort of caters to the locals. King George gets mixed/bad reviews, there are easily 20 other private apartments to visit catering to various different price brackets. The top (in quality not price) ones Kamilla Dee, Royal, Prestige, Liberty, van Kampen, Tiffany, maybe on a good day Mon Rouge. Then there are more gangish bangish Insomnia or Elebniswohnung clubs etc. All discussed here. The big decision is simply one of budget - will you spend more to get better choices, or do you want just huge quantities of sex on the cheap, as in bargain bumsen. There are also different health risk factors involved. Up to you. The other key takeaway is you really ought to ring a place before heading off just to see who is actually on and available when, on a given day. If you have 1-several specific candidates in mind it can save a lot of stupid running around. If you don't care, then you can just of course pitch up. And no matter what, take the time to talk a little and be sure everyone is on the same page about what is included for what price.

Do your homework. Involves skimming through the forum going back a year. You can search on the above terms and see all sorts of reports per bordello. Artemis has its own separate thread in the Germany FKK zone. Report back here, of course.

I use O2 prepaid sim with data / phone. Did pay 10euro for the card and 15euro for the service. And refill it with 15euro when I need, but I only refilled 1 time since it last long for me. Was purchased in leipzigerstrasse close to freidrichstrasse, no passport needed. Only a regulary I'd, any I'd must be used.

Google around with these names and you will find all the sites.

Royal, Van Kampen, Kamilla La Dee, Monrouge, Liberty, Tiffany. There's others.

And obviously, Artemis FKK which would be my absolute first option if you want to have fun. Theres a thread in the germany Fkk area.
