Siem Reap

I got Sildenafil (generic) otc in a pharmacy in Siem Reap. Cheap stuff from India, but it worked. 4x100 for 3$. They also had one pack for 4. 50 and one for 6$. It was possible to cut the pills in small pieces (since 100 mg is too much). I don't remember the name of the place, but it is close to Hotel Golden Orange. On the main street, same side of river).

Funny story in the store: First I asked for eye-drops for dry eyes, a local customer standing next to me looked at the product and said: "oh yes. That one is very good. Then I showed the clerk a paper note with "Sildenafil" on it, he went to get it. Then the same customer, a curious and friendly guy, looked at my note and said: "yes, they have some very good one here, and it is cheaper than in PP, and it works good", and he smiled. Very funny.

Last week I picked up a really cute lass in Pub Street. Said she was 22 and less than 5 foot. She wanted $30. But accepted $20 after asking a tuk tuk driver what 20 was in Kmer. Had a great time with her, despite the fact that she had a 3 month old little "bump" and could speak no English.

Duly paid her, + $2 for moto and off she went with a big hug. All very nice and friendly.

4 days later whilst having breakfast in the hotel, the manager walks into the restaurant with her, and says that she has an appointment with me. I advised that this was not the case, which was relayed to the girl, following which the manager said that she would go.

What that was all about I haven't a clue. Why wait 4 days if she wanted a repeat performance?

How much was the room?

Any good places near the hotel?

Can you recommend any good bars in general.

After a few days of not looking for action I just wanted to blow my load. Went by blue wave on a Friday night. Only about maybe 8 girls. None of them lookers. It was late and I had just downed a pitcher on pub street so I was buzzing. I got a girl who didn't look her best. She quoted 25$ room included. We agreed on 20$. Wouldn't go back ever. Like I said. Just wanted to dump my load.

Next night I visited top town just to see what the big deal was. Wasn't interested in the girls, except for one. She was definitely good looking. Asked the mamasan how much, she quoted 80$ for short time. HA. You got to be kidding me. I told her I had a girl for 50$ long time last time a was there (complete lie since it was my first time). Then after they talked to the girl I was told she only does short time. It makes sense because she was THAT hot compared to all the other girls. She knew she could probably get another customer. Declined and went on my way.

I had my moto driver take me to a KTV place along the airport road. No good looking girls. I had a specific taste that night. I wanted either a nice young vietnamese or Cambodian girl. Something cute to look down at while I pounded away. Then the driver took me to a place down what Bo road. If you're heading from Pub street over there you can't miss it. It was another KTV but the difference from Top Town was that you HAD to do at least an hour of kareoke before you could take the girl. Most of the girls were busy servicing the Koreans, but I found a nice cute young Cambodian and took her to the room. Now, there was a lady in the room most of the time to program the songs for me and get more drinks if I needed. Also, the moto driver was in there with me. At first I was kinda against that but then I thought it was a good thing since I didn't want to sing every song, so I let him sing Cambodian songs. Not a bad time.

I did make a mistake however. My girl walked out of the room for a few minutes. I had seen other girls doing that from other rooms so I didn't pay any mind. But then my moto driver left and I thought he was going to the bathroom as well. Whatever. They came back, not together, and eventually I wanted to leave with my girl. I asked him if it was cool to take her and he said sure sure it's ok. I said, 'ask her because I don't want to make sure she consents." Then he said its okay because he already spoke to her. That should've set off bells in my head. They must've talked when they went to what I thought was the restroom. Paid for the kareoke, about 30$. Paid for the girl. 70$, which I'm sure I could've got for cheaper had I kept my wits about me. But I really wanted her.

Took her back to the hotel. Savored every moment with her. She was cute in bed just how I liked it. After I finished the first round she pulled the,"I go home now?" bit. She tried it a couple of times actually. She pulls out her phone to show a pic of the 'baby' she has to take care of. I tell her, 'sure, just give me 30$ and you can leave right now. What, no money? Then be quiet and get ready for round 2 because I paid for the whole night."

Wasn't going to let her pull that one on me. Whenever that happens it doesn't bother me because I just pound them so much harder the second time for trying that on me.

Oh well. Happy hunting.

By the way, stayed at the Palm garden lodge for 12$ a night. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. The didn't clean the room daily. A bug here and there. Gnats in the shower drain (from never cleaning it). Took a long time with a meal order at the resturant. Fan and AC wasn't strong enough. And they had a sign in the room at absolutely no prostitutes were aloud in the rooms.

Moved down the street to Mandalay Inn based on a recommendation from google search. MUCH BETTER for 14$ a night. GF. Cleaning service everyday. A gym on top floor which I have yet to use. AC and Fan in Great condition. Although they ask you to reuse your towel they will exchange it for new one upon request. Small room but worth it and with a minifridge.

Note that both these places are on the same street and are 5 minutes walking distance from pub street.

Had a quick stopover at Siem Reap and just thought I'd write up my findings. I'm am noob so please go easy on me. Had a dude on a bike take me to top town, get shown into a room, and about 20 girls walk in eager for you to pick them, so I did. $80 to take her back for ST (definately got ripped off). She was a statue, just my luck. Wouldn't even BJ. No 43 I think, name was too hard to remember, oh well.

Walked around pub street and saw alot of ladyboys, all in all guess it could be ok if I had of picked right at top town.

Questions: is there also an area called "Top Town" that is cheaper?

There's a club, of sorts, called Top Town. My recollection from two years ago is that you basically you pick out a girl from a lineup and must sneak her into your hotel room (at least I had to at the quite-nice 4-star place I stayed at; a doorman saw us get into the hotel elevator together, rushed over and, from outside the elevator asked me "What room?" Of course I answered with a number on a completely different floor. Idiot.) The girl I picked from Top Town was memorable, very sweet. I don't believe they had facilities to do the deed onsite. Siem Reap also has a brothel called Soksan, where you get an hour with a girl chosen from a fishbowl. My trip there was one of poor service, girl complaining all the way. Anyhow, good luck!

Had a couple stops at blue wave bar (not to everyone's taste. But I enjoy because there is no bs on price. Girl & room are $20, plus whatever you want to tip. The girls get $10 of that 20, so I tip a bit more).

Had afew choices- rina, rani, and one whose name I forget. All nice enough looking. Above average for blue wave. But service here is always good and the girls seem to be willing to do what you (I) want. In CAmbodia BJ is not assured, so I always ask if yum yum is on their menu. At blue wave I have never had trouble with that request. Rani was especially good in that regard.

She also spoke good enough English to inform me that the bar is moving in about another week or two. Seems the guest house that they rent rooms from wants them out.

They will move to the main street close to where the deadfish cafe is. Near thelittle street that leads to the night market (saw this on their new cards, already printed). When I pointed out that is a bit more exposed to view than the current location she said the customer will meet girls in bar as before, but wi go separately to rooms. May be ok for privacy. Let you know if theymove before I leave.

Can anyone tell me if girl-friendly? Got a free night there.

I saw a storefront in the area I believe will be the new location being worked on, but by the time I left SR a week later, it had not reopened yet. If I am right about the spot, it will be next to a massage parlor, between dead fish cafe and the side street that leads to the night market.

Prices off the planet in siem riep if one doesn't speak khmer.

Much better to go to the late night discos, lots of women.

Women from SR not that pretty, although many from all over the country go there to work.

Much better value in PP.

I did a two day quick trip to Siem Reap from Bangkok before heading back to the US. I opted to fly, even though there is a large price differential as compared to driving. The major disadvantage is the much longer travel time by car, and to me it is not worth the added time.

I headed to Pub street Friday night, but I was not impressed by the girls in the bars. It was approached constantly in the street to be taken to see girls for boom boom.

On the positive side, I enjoyed the Golden Banana and $5 US one hour foot massages, along of course, with a tour of Angor what.

I made the mistake of exchanging US currency at the airport; it seems that US$ is much more readily accepted than the local riel.
