I'm preparing my first trip to PP and I am looking for a midclass hotel.
On the websites I can read that only official, registered guest are allowed to enter.
Is this just an official statement or are many hotels not GF?
I look for a hotel near Street 51 and comparable with Royal Mekong Boutique hotel, Bougainviller and Blue Lime.

You turn up and the mama confirms the price and yet you still get annoyed and walk away. And surely lets say the worst case scenarios happened and you go in pay the 10 bucks and the the girl wants 50 dollars or god forbid 30 dollars. Are you so short on money that you can't risk 10 dollars and get a massage only?

Very nice place. Nice staff and owner. Very GF. 27 $ for standard room incl. Breakfast. The owner, Jim, know almost every thing abaut Cambodia. Excellent bar. 24 h/d.

By the way. 40$ for massage + BB is already more expensive than Pattaya, I would skip it and shag a couple freelances instead.
For the record, I've my favourite khmer massage girl doing 1 hr GFE and massage + HJ for 5$ all inclusive, she's the first one I've found doing decent khmer massage and I've tried many, all disastrous, and she's also good at HJ and for 10$ she does BBBJ.
The place is dirty and stricly for locals and I'm their only foreign customer, not going to tell you exactly where it is but suffice to say that in this city you don't need to go upscale to get decent sex and a happy time.
If you guys think 50$ for a massage with happy ending is a fair price you're de facto part of the problem and you should not complain about the skyrocketing going rates in bars and fishbowls.
As for the 10$ massage alone: he's not totally wrong about it, a normal massage is priced 5-6$ anywhere in downtown so 10$ is already overpriced, most of these massages turn out ot be lackluster and pale in comparison to the ones in Thailand, China, and Vietnam so the risk of throwing 10$ out of the window is actually very high!
Can you clarify what is downtown. Maybe some streets by name.

It's aimed at 'respectable tourists', which is to say mainly old Western farts and their wives. Try any of the cheaper places along the water or one block in, like Paragon, Golden House, River House etc.

Yum yum is the general term for BJ, but that doesn't necessarily mean DT.
Hard to find in Asia? That's not my experience. Try China. Or Thailand. Southern Viet better than Northern.

Offline, Sorya is a good place for gold diggers, but let me warn you, they will quickly size you up and expect to make some money accordingly, nothing is free in Cambodia.
If you think you can take an airplane and land here and find a free girl just because we're white you came in the wrong place.
If that matters, just go at Pontoon or Heart of Darkness, kiss them and see how it goes, but sooner or later they will talk about money or about some sort of long term engagement, why else do they go there hooking up with random foreigners?
