I thought I was proven wrong on my love motel price increases
Not so fast. You said prices of love motels increased. If streetwalkers were getting less customers then love motels would see less demand for their room so why would they increase their prices? If you argue that inflation, and not increase in demand, was the only factor in the increase of their prices then couldn't you asume streetwalkers can do the same? So they could could increase their prices not because their is a increase in demand but only because inflation. That's my high school econ right there.
I thought I was proven wrong on my love motel price increases in a subsequent post. My chicas insist the prices have gone up in the Love Motels. I dunno. And I believe I am on record as saying cost of living is going up across the board for rent, food, transportation, etc. Those are effected by separate economic forces.
Every girl I have talked to in the last few weeks said her rent went up between 100-150 mil COP per month. Like you, I am not an economist although I did take one masters level economics course (cough) years ago and I conceptually seemed to retain the principles around Supply and Demand, even though that was not my primary field of study. I am educated and experienced in the health care field, corporate, academic, clinical, managed care (or as I like to call it, mangled care, jeje), health insurance, and medical business start-up. Retired, thank gawd.
