Is it worth it to visit Indonesia just for pleasure if I have no official business there, thus have to pay all from my own pocket. Thinking whether it would be worth it. Hotel seems expensive then Bangkok or Pattaya.

What is the normal fee for a company? Is there short-term / long-term just like in LOS? Indonesia being a muslim country, wouldn't be our activity be hard to do?

Of course those working in more upmarket places are more likely to speak English, but the general standard is quite poor. If you have zero bahasa knowledge, I would advise you to learn a few words and phrases. You don't need much, and they love it especially if you screw it up and say something silly. It's also a great opportunity to offer to "teach" English... ;)

Had some time this week so decide to check the situation for different weekday.

Wed. First visited TG arriving about midnight. Nice crowd but not too many my type. Hung around til about 2:30am without success, so decided to leave as a lot of girls have left. Once outside decided to check other bars, head over to MyBar across the street. Was not expecting much as previous visits I never found much action. Surprised that all of the girls from TG have moved over to this bar. I guess they're moving around. Finally picked up a nice girl. Asked 500 for ST. Counter with 400 for ST or 700 for LT.

Thu. Visited TG with a business partner arriving about 10 who have never been in TG. Commented it felt like bars in Bangkok but the girls are not as aggressive. Especially the nicer looking ones expects you to approach instead of the other way around. Ratio seems quite good of mostly girls. Less guys. Music was horribly loud for some reason. Could it be the fact it's earlier in the evening? Had a big meeting next day so left about 11:30.

Fri. Visited TG arriving about 1am. Place was a sausage fest. Terrible ratio. Had one drink, remembered lesson from Tue and head across to MyBar. Enjoyed myself chatting up a few girls but decided against.

FYI I'm of Chinese background so get the slight feeling I'm not the target audience for some of the girls. The senior members have any comments?
