And NOW, another POTENTIAL consequence, and I speak from personal EXPERIENCE: she tells her friends that you'll pay 7 k for ST, 1 shot. Believe me, they share intel. You can overcome it, but it does take a lot of work and explaining as when you offer less, the girl thinks you're disrespecting her. I explained I had paid in advance (DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB, but every lesson has to be relearned eventually), and she had changed LT to ST. If she doubted me, she could ask any number of my other [I]acquaintances[/I] there. So be prepared for some additional blowback.

You started off well, asking menu, settling on price BEFORE leaving the bar. If you were communicating by Line, I'd have reconfirmed the parameters of the meet BEFORE confirming the 2nd meet, especially for someone with a day job just off of work.

And FORGET the romantic bit. It's [B]BUSINESS[/B], you shouldn't be trying to woo her, she should be convincing you to sign her. You can have fun, and a GFE, just remember it's a pseudo-GFE, you don't have to put up with her crap. - he had her from 20:45 until 3 am. Awake. That is 6+ hours. How is that less of a LT than the fellow who takes a girl at 12 Midnight and she bails at 7 am - 8 am after 2-3 hours of that time was likely spent sleeping?

- 7,000 baht is 2-3 times the going ST rate with better than average lookers at Thermae. He had her, awake, for 2-3 times the length of typical ST and got 2 pops with her.

- Many gogo bar barfines are 1,000 baht now, depending on the night or hour. Many of the better lookers will often hold at 3,000 baht for a 1-2 hour ST and not budge. Unless your first encounter at the first bar you enter is THE girl for you and she agrees to all of your requirements at the door without a single LD being purchased, you can easily add another 2,000 baht to the hunt, totalling 6,000 baht. And you'll be getting a 1-2 hour ST for that 6,000 baht.

- Unless I am mistaken about which Field Report was being referred to, somebody characterized the girls at Thermae as "shop" girls. I am not sure what that means. That they have regular day jobs at a mall shop somewhere? That the girl in question once worked in a massage shop? Not sure. But I just wanted to mention for those who have never been there that Thermae is not a shop. It is a casual bar with relatively low cost drinks where FLs hang out to meet potential customers. No LDs, no barfine, no massage tables or floor mats, everyone remains fully clothed on the premises.

Guys, during my July 2022 trip to Bangkok I went to Spasso in Grand Hyatt around 11 PM to 12 AM and it was totally dead.

Whats the latest status on Spasso and also Mixx across the road?

I once saw a youtube video of a place in Thailand where there were 100's of girls sitting in bleacher type of seating and you would call the girl down to sit with you. This was very high end girls with the hottest and most expensive girls at the top floor I believe. The girls mostly sat around most of the time by themselves.

Wow, I must say I didn't expect my field reports to generate such passionate responses. I arrived in Pattaya last night so I haven't had a chance to read through the responses until now.

Thank you everyone who either gave positive or negative feedback. This is my first time solo in Thailand so I have a lot to experience and a lot to learn as well. Those of you who have either been coming here for decades or live here full time know the ins and outs of the hobby. There are many unspoken rules or protocols that us outsiders and newbies can't fully grasp until we've also had a few engagements with the ladies of this amazing country.

If I were easily offended, some of the comments would have put me off from posting anymore on this forum. Good thing I'm not. At the end of the day, my money is mine to spend however I please. If I agree on a transaction with a lady, and we both come to an agreement, then all is good. As others have said, my data point is most likely an outlier. Or it may not be. There are probably hundreds of transactions between mongers and ladies in Bangkok every night that don't get posted on ISG. I wouldn't expect many of the Japanese or Koreans to be reading FRs on ISG. China is starting to relax restrictions, so the red wave may be coming sooner than you think to Thailand. The pent up demand may drive prices further up. The market dictates the prices, so if you are lamenting that there is upwards price pressure there really isn't much to be done about it. Like the stock market, you can chose to ride it out or bail, it's out of our control. I can take constructive feedback and change my behavior, but because of all the other mongers that either don't know or don't read ISG, there will be very little effect.

My experience so far:

-Massage girls give the best service and for the best price, though it's mechanical and routine. Don't expect GFE or PSE.

-Go go bar girls are the hottest and wear the least clothing, so you can fully analyze their body before takeout, but the bar fine, lady drinks, and ST / LT fee could add up to quite a bit. They can either be enjoying their time dancing or seem like they are bored out of their minds and wanting to just go home and sleep.

-Freelance girls are the most unpredictable. You may find a gem in the rough but it may take many attempts or you may never be successful. Prices are also all over the place and can put a major dent in your wallet. Girls in classy or more conservative clothing may be hiding baby damage or flabby bellies. Buyer beware.

I will post more soon, and I'll happily accept any feedback on how I can improve on how I hobby.

P.S. The bar fines in pattaya shocked me, but I'll post more on that in the pattaya forum.

I did use a travel service to book and I think it was Bangkok->Siem Reap->Phnom Penh->Bangkok. Just did a quick check and number of direct round trip flights between Bangkok and Siem Reap. Visa on arrival available at Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. I'd say easily done.

Thanks TT and EihTooms for your feedback. There are a lot of different angles coming over the wire in this Bangkok thread, so it's tough to keep everything straight. And we all may have some different favorite spots that work differently for different bros.

Just 2 things I'll mention from my perspective:

Striker mentioned at Thermae; 'Of the ones were willing to go LT, I got quoted anywhere from 7000 to 10000. Some wanted to leave at 04:00 and other were willing to stay until 07:00. After I got the price, These girls are all Freelancers, with day jobs, so they can set their own price and conditions. Seven unsuccessful attempts later, I finally found one that met all my requirements. 7000 LT, braces, 152 cm, 46 kg, looks to be in her early 20's but is actually 30". -- This one doesn't sound like she's too special, and 7-10 k is a lot, even for 6 hours /2 pops, if it's just an average FL. I understand EihTooms math, but we have to admit that the definition of LT is changing from what it was in the past.

Striker's Ai sounds like one I picked up on Soi 4 on August. She was mid 30's, very attractive (2-3 extra pounds now, but still delightful), unlimited access (which was effectively 3 pops) over 9 hours (2 am-11 am) with a nice 6 hour sleep in the middle. I gave her $3 k and we were both happy. I may have upped it to 4 k for the same girl if she were 5 years younger, but nowhere near 7-10 k. To me, that's premium price, premium girl, and no counting the clock. (But I may need to adjust my expectation.) Like Ai, this girl was trying to get me for more dates that week. I knew I'd given her too much even at 3 k. (I didn't follow up, but I'm going to contact her this month.).

TT, I can't speak for you, but I don't recall paying 3 k at Nana in 2018-19 for ST. I recall it as 1500-2500ST and 3-4 k (maybe 3-5) LT. I'll be happy if both of you are right and I'm being too alarmist. I'll put it to the stress test in another week or so, and I'll try to keep tight accounting practices for reporting purposes.

MY experience, besides wishful thinking, it's another method of indicating she is NOT interested in doing business with you (but if you are dumb enough to agree, well then [S]...[/S]).

Post Covid, with Thailand just really unconditionally opening up, pent up demand, and the wg's are not stupid, astute enough to try and raise prices. Whether they are sustainable or not remains to be seen "post rush". My experience in several countries, prices do tend to stabilize in a market. Seems that the new norm for agogos (strong union) is 3 k /5 k. OK. As prices rise, more, tempted by the [U]hope[/U] of those prices, enter the market, especially in the FL venues. Customers visit less and less, and prices drop. You'll always have some that will pay any price, but they are, IMHO, a minority.

[B]Houston Player[/B] reported that LT's are still possible with [U]careful[/U] selection a few pages back. Granted, he's a resident, but I have no reason to doubt him. Like Vegas, Thailand might be changing (I remember when seeing a falang above Soi 26 was an abnormality, now where DON'T you see them?) into a more "remote work", "traditional holiday", etc. , but there will always be a certain element that I don't see changing. So many owners want to be 'high end", but there will always be places for a variety of ranges. But then again, I'm an optimist: I have hopes Soi 7 Beer Garden will return before the land is turned into another skyscraper.

That's the trouble with spending all your time in the bars, never going out and seeing other parts of Thailand, having [I]civilian[/I] Thai friends. Not every hot girl on the sky train is getting off at Nana.

BOTTOM LINE: If you (general you) had fun with her, had a great, memorable time, then the price was right. Myself, I don't remember the prices I paid. What I DO remember is the fun I had. The cynic knows the price of everything, the value of nothing.

Now multiplying the price I thought by 2 was NOT a good deal. Stand off. Nothing had happened, so I just started getting dressed saying we should all return to the club and look for other [I]companions[/I] (my threshold, once I start to put on my shoes, we ARE leaving). They cut the price to something reasonable, it wasn't a fun time, and I was more than happy to give them taxi money to go back to the club. They were smart enough to NEVER approach me again in that club.

Or the time I had negotiated a great deal when offered a 2 for 1 price. Yea, until we got back to my place and my definition (2 for 1=1) didn't match theirs (2*1=2 price quoted was for EACH). Now multiplying the price I thought by 2 was NOT a good deal. Stand off. Nothing had happened, so I just started getting dressed saying we should all return to the club and look for other [I]companions[/I] (my threshold, once I start to put on my shoes, we ARE leaving). They cut the price to something reasonable, it wasn't a fun time, and I was more than happy to give them taxi money to go back to the club. They were smart enough to NEVER approach me again in that club.

BOTTOM LINE: If you (general you) had fun with her, had a great, memorable time, then the price was right. Myself, I don't remember the prices I paid. What I DO remember is the fun I had. The cynic knows the price of everything, the value of nothing.
