I stayed on the second level, right at the top of the stairs, really nice apartment. The fully equipted kitchen was a real plus as was the full sized refrigerator.
Here is their email thegoldencrab@hotmail.com
I don't know if it makes any difference or not but the phone # I have is justly slightly different (038) 421648. I'm quite sure the 66 is the international code.

Fellow Mongers,
Found the Sabai Inn to be perfect here. Right off Soi 2, so cheap at 900 baht a night with good solid rooms, a/c that works and across the street from the Big C etc.
No problem with girls, no fees, but try not to lose your mind over the three stunners behind the counter.

I stayed at the Haven Hotel August 7th & 8th so here is my review (first trip to Pattaya).
The check in was easy and the staff was friendly but the rooms are small and dated and they needed to change my room because the A/C was broken.
My friends room had a whole in the ceiling that his TG made him climb up on a chair and fill the hole with a wash cloth. He changed the first night.
My second morning they started construction in the room right next door to me at 8:30am, I was booked in the Sandy Spring by 9:30am.
Overall I would give it a 4 out of 10 even at 750B a night and the location. The restaurant is good though.

I was down in Pattaya 2 weeks ago, after staying the first night in the pretty runned down AA-hotel, next day I started walked around the city looking for cheap and nice accommodation. After checking maybe 15 hotels and guesthouses none of which suited my taste I found the Eastiny Residence Hotel.
It is a pretty new hotel with big nice clean rooms, good king size bed that is not too hard, I hate hard beds, which do my back no good. Most of the hotels I checked before finding this had really hard mattresses. Downstairs there is a 7-11 store and on the opposite street there are some bars and a restaurant, they also have one computer down in the lobby that is free to use if you stay at the hotel.
The price I negotiated was 890BHT per night without breakfast, which I do not need anyway. Being out late and sleeping until the afternoon I prefer to start the day with lunch instead.
I do not know if they are girl friendly but I think so, this time I stayed together with my TGF, but I saw other fellow mongers bringing girls in and they did not seem to have any problems with the hotel staff that BTW where very friendly to me.
I attach a scan of their business card.

Can anyone recommend any 300-400 baht per night hotel rooms with air-con and hot water shower in Pattaya?

I stayed at Mr Chan's when I was there almost 2 years ago. It was about that price. I had to pay by the week though. It was okay. It had hot water and air conditioner. The help there was really friendly and nice. It is also a art studio. It is between Jomtien and Pattaya. I can PM you if you want anymore info.
P.S.
I wanted to add that in my experience for a few hundred baht a night more you can get a considerably nicer hotel. My experience is limited to two hotels in Pattaya though.

The first time I visited Pattaya few years back, I walked from Beach road
towards 2nd road looking around for a place to stay. It was in soi 12 where
I saw a sing "Ice Inn", the entrance was few steps off soi 12, in an alley.
I went in, they had a room for 200 bh. The room was very small, private
bath, cable tv, daily cleaning, no hot water, no need for hot water in Pattaya.
The building has five stores, no lift. There is always someone at the front
desk, forgot to mention there is a phone in the room.
They have, I think, only two rooms at that price. The rest of the rooms
rent for 300, 450, 550, I think, these are air con, with a fridge in.
Also, I think the price went up lataly.
If you want to stay 15 days at a time - Sawasdee has rooms get 15 pay 10 at 600B/night (or 6000 for 15 nights - 400/night) until 1 OCT or was that 1 NOV
Try Soi 8. Failing that, Sawaseee Court behind the Apex Hotel should do it. There are several small palces i nthatp rice range near the Apex. But you get what you pay for. Sawasee have a website.
There are cheap places like Viking in Boyztown. Besides the clientele, you will find it very noisy and bad value for money. If you come form the bus station, just before you hit 2nd road, there is a lane shortcuts into 2nd road. Lotso f very cheap but ugly places there.
I read a couple of posts and saw a couple of pics of a place called --- La Guinginette. I think it is in Pattaya. If anyone has any details of this place -- Please share.
Thank you
Sawasdee COURT is on soi 10 (vaguely behind APEX, but only if the vagueness is 200m or so) - you might mean "Mansion" which is on Honey Inn (Soi 11)
Samu - the cheaper rooms are always on the top chun (floor) - long hike up the staircase - in the heat... with the bags (nah - not the girls...)
You are right. easy to confuse all these Sawasdees. Opebo might also want to try some of the guest houses on Soi Boucauw. There is a good one with Internet cafe run by an Israeli there in his price range. You are also right about the bags and baggage. He sure as fuck is not goiing to get a 5 star for that price. It also depends where he wants to do his fucking and drinking. For that price he almost has to stay the Apex side of 2nd Road. And the hookers won't hike that far. Getting some of them to open their [CodeWord140] flaps or their mouth for a bj is work enough.
On the plus side, if he wants a pussy piece to drink all night with him, then that or Lek Hotel area is probably the place to be. Too many Celtic bhoys there tohugh and you never know with those cunts. All wired to the fucking moon.
