HOLIDAY IN TURKEY ?

Tastes and preferences may vary between people. Since you chose to ask me, I will give you my recommendations, according to my understanding of a good relaxing holiday with a girl friend.

But you may revise it if you want, by visiting the touristic sites about Turkey. The most important one you should visit is : [url]www.nisanyan.net[/url]

Forget about 4* or * rated hotels. The new and trendy approach is to go for "S" type hotels certified by the Tourism Ministry as "Boutique Hotels". These are the best for relaxation.

While using the "nisanyan" site. Just click on the town or red dot where the hotel is, and observe the address, photo and info about the hotel, you can jump to the hotel's site and make your reservation in some of them.

Here is my plan for you .

1.-) Even if you are going to Antalya, you'll have to change planes in Istanbul, so fly to Istanbul first. Stay at Holiday Inn. It is a mere $80 per night. You can make use of all the facilities of its neighboring sister Crown Plaza Hotel (pool, health club, etc.) without having to pay for the more expensive Crown Plaza Hotel. Visit the Sultanahmet Region - Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Yerebatan Cistern, Topkapi Palace Museum. At night, dine at Vogue restaurant located on the terrace of BJK Plaza at Akaretler-Beshiktash district. Ask the taxi driver to get you there. You will pay around $85 for two. It will be an unforgettable dinner I promise you. It has one of the most fabulous night views in the world. You can eat a piece of wood with pleasure by that view. The place is classy, you will need a reservation.

2.-) Alternative 1: For relaxation, go to Kalkan. Kalkan is a small town between Dalaman and Antalya, about 80 km. from Dalaman. It has the most clean water in the Mediterranean Sea. (Ranked 1st among 570 Blue Flag baches in the Mediterranean coast). Quiet and beautiful. The hotel is a boutique hotel with every room decorated differently. I recommend you to choose a Deluxe Room with seaview terrace. You must NOT make your booking by internet. Instead, call the hotel and talk to reservations desk. Bargain. Tell them that your friend stayed there and recommended here to you. Tie the deal at $100 per night for 2 persons. Inluding breakfast and dinner (half board). That is reasonable. Ask for a room whose terrace is on the new front facade of the hotel. If you cannot manage, call me and I will make the reservation for you.

The hotel has courtesy bus service to and from Dalaman airport on Thursdays and Sundays. So, book your flight on one of those days. Return flight to Dalaman from Istanbul is about $ 100 per person.

Kalkan town has many beautiful restaurants. Ask the hotel reception about places to visit around. There are places tyou must see. Renting a car or Jeep is very cheap in Kalkan.

3.-) Alternative 2 : Choose any of the small hotels in Antalya - Kaleici region or, Kemer Region at [url]www.nisanyan.net[/url]

I would recommend you to stay at Kaleici, it is the middle of the town, near to historical places, restaurants, etc. But if you would like to stay at a holiday village, go to Kemer.
you will like both of them.

At the Kaleici, prefer one of the hotels with a pool.

At Kemer, you do not need a pool, since the whole town is a beach.

If you go to Antalya, you should book your flight to Antalya airport. You can go by taxi to Kaleici. But do not forget that Kemer is 65 km. from the airport. Rent a car fropm the airport. That is cheaper and better than taxi. You can drive to many historical and touristic places nearby (also you must).

Do not forget : Etiher going to Kalkan or Antalya, the scene is not sun,sea and beach only. Visit the history, see the mythical greek or roman ruins just beside the beaches, observe the culture. you can swim at most places where the ruins are. There are no open air museums in the world like these.

Taking into consideration Vegamars’ report dated 14.08.2004, I have visited Altýnýþýk Hotel on Saturday night . As he mentioned, best figure there was the tallest, redhead, Romanian girl, Olimpia. Thank you Vegamars for your good recommendation, she has really a perfect body. But, it seems it didnot take too much time for her to be a clock watcher like the other ones. Although she says she is a dancer in Demirköy hotel, she does the same job there, because she talks about an Arabian men who gave her 500 bucks without requesting sex. This is completely a lie. It is impossible for anyone not to appreciate your invaluable contributions to Turkey section of the Forum. I saw the photos of your last enthusiastic experience. All are wonderful. As a new reporter, I think I did my job by reporting my this week's experience. I also allocate a monthly budget for mongering which I sometimes have a deficit:) What I wonder is: How much did your last experience cost? including telephone call from Turkey to Ukraine-just kidding:) Again 50$? You know, some GFEs cost more than 50$ and it is difficult to persuade girls to stay over 2 hours.

Olimpija is one of the few exceptional Romanians to have a good manner, as most of them are difficult to deal with.

Due to their fame some Romanians hesitate to reveal their nationality and pretend to be Moldovan instead.

There are quite a lot of Ukrainians hanging in Serenda and Balance disco, of which most are blondes.

You can easily distinguish them by their lively and smiling natural faces without makeup, often dancing enthusiastically. Their friendly way of conversation and good manner of easy negotiation is another clue.

Most important of all, they will always be proud to talk about their country and culture.

It's always a good idea to hook up with the younger choices for a remarkable experience. You should be careful and patient enough to inspect the girls though, as they always look at least a few years younger in the dim light.

as i told you before, i am a german living and working in Istanbul.

I followed your advices and went a quite a few times to Irmak and Gold Can.

I had some nice experiences with Katharina at Irmak and with a girl in Gold Can.

I don't know for how long you will be living in Istanbul, but if it is longer than a year, just a little advice: Learn Turkish !

It is not that difficult, you can become pretty fluent after 3 months of going to a language course (3 times a week); it will definitely be enough to talk to a chick :-) ...... AND it will save you money during price negotiations !

Parrellel to your language course, get yourself a pillow dictionary (girlfriend), who does not speak English or German. That won't be difficult either. Chatting them up in broken Turkish makes them wet right away.
