i would be willing to bet that you are a member of the opposing political party, the party of hipolito mejia, the prd.
i have no clue why a monger would want to have sex in some bushes with an overdressed woman, very bizarre. i would have gotten my baseball bat and went outside and chased the guy away.
i can remember you posting how it was possible to pick up a streetwalker for 500 pesos, in santo domingo and take her to a hotel's parking lot for sex. if some tourist was visiting that hotel with his young daughters and and his daughters happened to look out the window to the parking area, it is possible, those daughters could see some guy having sex.
maybe the monger in the bushes was staying at the jaragua or the melia or the v centanario in gazcue and was prevented from taking his chica to his room (the only hotels in the world that i know of, that prevent a client from bringing in a guest). maybe the monger in the bushes had read that the 20 chica friendly hotels in gazcue were brothels and he was afraid to use a brothel hotel. maybe the monger in the bushes had a rental car but was afraid to drive to a cabana, because he knew he would get pulled over and harassed by policia nacional who look to supplement their income, because the dr government refuses to pay them a decent salary. or maybe the guy in the bushes did not want to take a taxi to one of the cabanas because he knew, as a tourist he would be overcharged by the taxi drivers.
i agree the vice in gazcue is not probably a nuisance to you. but that is because you don't live there. you don't have to deal with finding used condoms in your building parking areas, explaining to your children what the pot bellied gringo with his pants around his ankles was doing with the overdressed woman in the bushes below their window, replacing the fog lights a panhandler stole off your car, or cleaning the smell of [CodeWord109] and beer off your sidewalks. it gets old really quickly when it's not a once in a while vacation blowout.
by the way, one of the hotels described as a brothel in the diario libre piece is the jaguar, the mystik is another.
the hipolito vs. leonel situation is really not as complicated as it may seem. influence peddling and payoffs rule dominican politics. the military controls organized sex work. as in the past, the legitimate complaints of community activists will result in a compromise. you will see limited operating hours, noise restrictions, and the elimination of neon and arm waving touts. at least for a while. the pasteur strip is not likely to go away because there are no more than two or three residential properties left on it and very few are left near it.
Foxys on the Malecon and near Foxys is the Baby Dolls. Casa Theresa at night with not much traffic about a 15 minute ride from Jaragua. Located a few blocks from Casa Theresa is casa azul. If you go to casa theresa you might as well stop at casa azul. I saw some amazon looking chicas in casa theresa a few times (tall chicas with big tits and big ass).
Casa de Modelos which is closer to the Hilton is another option. Club MC, Penthouse and Pink Pony are 20 minutes or more from the Jaragua (no traffic). Friday night, head over to avenida Venezuela.
Nice looking waitresses at le base bar on avenida espana and also eagle sports bar on ave san isidro (both of these bars are on the other side of the river).
For middle class and up, non-pro chicas, you could visit plaza uris (ave roberto pastoriza) , not too far away from GBP. Mint might get packed tonight late (hotel napolitano).
Thank you very much Jaosausa-
We had the best night thus far with the best quality women last night due to your help. We pulled some of our other wedding party friends out of the nasty Tabu (2500) and brought them to Casa Teresa (3500) and Baby Dolls (3500) for complete satisfaction for all. Thanks again!
Tonight after the wedding we are looking for a good Saturday night disco with lots of beautiful (non-pro and pro) women in attendance. Additionally, sexy bartenders and waitresses to serve us make for a better night. We already hit Mint and Copa repeadidly so they are out for tonight.
Any Saturday happening clubs with a great crowd (not all dudes) that have some good flirty energy and pumping music?
Thanks again in advance for the help!

-IS
Gotik in Hotel Hispaniola (Avenida Lincoln and Avenida Independencia) might be good. Last time I was there it was called LED and on Saturday it a had a young well off crowd. Because it is attached to a hotel with a casino it is allowed to stay open very late. 5am or later. Keep that in mind when you want a late night spot, clubs or bars attached to a hotel with a casino are allowed to stay open after the curfew (gotik, coppa, mint and the disco in Hotel Aurora del Sol). Aurora del Sol is on the other side of the river, about 25 minutes from the Jaragua, I probably would not recommend going there with the wedding party.
There are about four bars in Plaza Uris with a well off young crowd, lots of expensive vehicles parked outside the Plaza. Each of the bars are next door to one another. Each bar has a different style inside, you can easily walk from one to the other, being Italian you might get a kick out of the bar called Sinatra there, that has large photos of old blue eyes. There are some pretty chicas at the bars in Plaza Uris, it is not a pay for play venue, very safe to bring chicas from the wedding party there. Plaza Uris is on the north side of Avenida Roberto Pastoriza between Avenida Lincoln (ave lope de vega starts near ave roberto pastoriza) and avenida tiradentes.
I have been to Praia, very young, rich crowd, I was bored there. Docks bar in Plaza Acropolis, up the stairs from the street on the second floor, is a semi open type of bar, not sure how it is later in the night. Jet Set is kind of far from the Jaragua. Monte Cristo cafe I have heard can be fun.
Plaza Uris is probably the safest bet, good security, well off crowd. 4 different bars so if one person in your group doesn't like one bar, you can easily move to another bar. Later in the evening you can go to one of the bars near the casinos; Gotik, Mint or Coppa.
You can visit Bufeo. Com, to see photos of some of the bars / discos in santo domingo; http://portal.bufeo.com/home/galleries/2161/
With a group of people, it might make economic sense to buy a bottle of vodka or whiskey. Individual drinks can cost $8US or more. If you have two guys with you, three guys each paying $50 each, you can get a bottle for $150, (less or more depending what brand of alcohol you order) , I doubt you want to hit the chicas from the wedding party for money to help pay for the drinks.
I would probably only buy a bottle in one of the clubs attached to a casino; gotik, coppa or mint. Also depends what time you get to the club and how much time you plan on spending there, will determine whether it is worth it to buy a bottle. When you buy a bottle you will be given a table with chairs.
Depends what time the wedding party ends, as to what place you should head to. A Dominican friend of mine, his sister had her wedding at the El Embajador and afterwards they headed over to LED (now called Gotik) in the Hotel Hispaniola.
Have fun.

BoricuaOnline is the originator of the Santo Domingo Mongering Map. In my opinion it is the most valuable piece of information in the Santo Domingo thread. I have been to SD many times but still refer to the map for locations.
BTW if you or any other poster has a favorite location you would like to have added to the map just send BoricuaOnline a PM with the name, location, and brief description. Sorry Boricua to keep you working. LOL

The bars are closed Club 305, located on Independence Avenue, Shi Aigh, Latin Dolls House and Misty Bar Grill, located on Avenida Pasteur, and stop in Socorro Sanchez Street.
In the operation involved 13 prosecutors, headed by the District Attorney, Alejandro Moscoso Segarra, and about 80 police officers began around 10:00 pm and lasted until dawn.
Moscoso Segarra said that with the intervention of public ministry in the sector given Gascue response to complaints.
Is it true? Club 305?
Is it true? Club 305?
Does a bear shit in the woods? It is confirmed and with my luck I got here just in time for it to be closed. Passed by last night and the other three places on Pastuer are also shut down. It should open just after I leave this place. Tried to go to Boca at night and that was also a nightmare. The idiots on the street plus the fact that Duarte was closed to cars made me turn back and call it a night. I did se some SWs on independence a bit further down from the Hilton.
I did not know La Parada was open again. That's how bad this forum is getting. There is more accurate and up to date information in the Listin Diario daily newspaper. LOL.
Well, let's get back to tips about grocery shopping, bars where you will pay 200 pesos for a 50 peso beer so you can relive your senior prom experience and be ignored by insecure groups middle class Dominican girls and of course let's get back to reminiscing about the used up street girls who can no longer work the lighted streets around Gazcue.

mr. helpmann posted advice before, rent property in dom rep, do not buy property in dom rep. there is no functioning legal system in dom rep. the dr government can come and confirep001e any property they wish.
some of the casas that were shut down, were in business for many years. it took the dr government 5 or more years to figure out that these businesses were violating some law? of course not. those people running the government do whatever they want on a whim and there are no judges and no courts that will stop them. close a business that has been operating out in the open for 5 or more years, sure why not. confirep001e a house, or an apartment owned by a foreigner? no problem, the foreigner loses all the money he used to buy the property.
do not buy property in dr.
for mongers considering where to go, i would advise stay out of santo domingo and probably stay out of dom rep.
there are other islands for a caribbean vacation. makes no sense to me why haiti cannot develop all inclusive hotels along some of its beaches, that could take business away from the dom rep all inclusive hotels.
club 305 was opened in a building that sat empty on avenida independencia for many years. on avenida pasteur across the street from the casas is an empty decrepit house that has sat empty for over 6 years.
maybe a greedy developer wants to build on avenida pasteur and he has paid off someone in the dom rep gpvernment to put pressure on the casas, so that the casa owners are forced to sell at a reduced rate. there is no rule of law in dom rep and there is no respect for property rights in dr. and us taxpayers help support this mickey mouse system of government in the dr.
