During negotiations, clearly mention if it is ST you will pay ST rate. Tell her if you both like it to be LT then it will be LT rate.

This way it will be easier for you without any drama.

Vast majority of bargirls like to agree on LT in the bar and want to leave after one shot unless she likes you. If she likes you it will be nice GFE and she will stay with you the whole next day too.

My experience,

1. I took a girl from one of 104 bars. She is very lovey-dovey in the bar with open mouth kissing and touching everywhere. She agreed to stay LT with me for $40. However after one shot (very satisfying experience) she feigned stomach hurts etc and wanted to leave. I told her she will get only $20. She agreed and left.

2. Next day I went to the same bar and there she was fit and healthy. Again same lovey-dovey thing. But I told her I am looking for some other girl who will stay LT. Although she said she is willing I did not trust her. I met another nice young girl there who agreed for LT for $50. In the room very GFE and nice body with pointy boobs. This one also tried to leave after one shot but backed off when I told her I will give only $20. She stayed the night and in the morning she wanted to leave without another shot. I told her she will get only $30. Reluctantly she agreed for sex and after that we both went for breakfast and she left.

3. Third day to the same bar. Both girls swarming over me and want to go with me. I told them since I was not happy with their actions I will take a new girl and see. By now I am friendly with another girl who kind of acts like a leader. She introduced another girl who she said is new to the bar. This girl turned out to be very nice. Multiple shots and she wanted to stay with me whole next day. We had lots of fun and walked around town etc. I treated her to some shopping and a nice tip.

4. Wanted to try heart of darkness. Went there late. I was really tired because of lots of action with the previous girl. Here I met a very pretty girl who was friendly. I needed company to take to siem reap. I offered her $40 per day for three days of staying together. She readily accepted and was very good in sex and company.

So it is not easy. But if you keep trying you will come across a nice likable one and ave good fun.

[/QUOTE]LT is a standard offering in the scene, has been that way since way back when. It was a standard in Thailand and also in Cambodia at least since the 90s. If this is what the customer requests and what the girl agrees to in the bar, and that is what the customer wants / needs (for example maybe ST is dissatisfying to him, and if ST is all that is on offer then he would not have been interested in striking the deal) then it doesn't really make sense that the customer should be satisfied when LT turns into an unexpected ST. The problem isn't newbies or wrong-headed customers, it's girls who lie in order to close the deal. It's bait and switch in a way. A deal is a deal. I assume you think it's not ok for a customer to finish the deed and then refuse to pay, right? So why should it be ok for the girl to reneg on her part of the bargain? Lets' imagine it's not LT but maybe some specific niche that a guy is really into, let's say he loves S&M, so he goes from bar to bar asking each girl if they know what that is and they are into doing it. And then a girl says yes she's up for that, she knows what to do, and so on. Then they get back to the room and she refuses to do it. She knew in the bar when she struck the deal that she had no intention of doing what she promised. That's just dishonest. That's basically what they do. Of course it's not cool.

You can negotiate all you want, set all the terms and conditions and prices, and then often, especially in Cambodia, the girl doesn't deliver. Yes it's bad and wrong and unprofessional of her, but that's the reality. Ultimately these encounters come down to how you get along with each other, and there's no point in trying to force that contractually.

That's why my approach is just to take a girl and see what happens. If it's good and she wants to stick around, fine, keep her for the night. If not, that's no problem either. You pay her for a short time and cut your losses. I think a lot of the problems here start because guys will offer a certain figure for all night. As soon as the girl hears that number, she thinks she's automatically earned that much, regardless of what actually happens. Personally I don't talk prices beforehand and I generally avoid girls who do. And no, I can't even remember the last time that I had any problem over payment.

Another thing could be 'lost in translation'. The girl may be thinking something else and the guy something else. Best to discuss politely before hand. I had a Vietnamese girl tell me what she does and doesn't do in the bar without me asking so that there is no confusion in the room. We agreed and had a great sex session, the best I had in Cam. Just have fun. The way I look at it is that, with ST, it is not a lot of money even if the girl is a starfish! Go find another one.

This sort of thing never happened to me in Cambodia before 2009. I remember all my Khmer girls back then saying "up to you" and I would keep them for as long as I liked and usually shag them 3 or 4 times before I let them go. It was great. The price in 2009 was $20 and it was much less in 2005 and earlier. Most Khmer girls are still very sweet, but times have definitely changed. Today, I think it is best to take a girl you don't know ST your first night with her and see what develops. I wouldn't even mention LT. Just assume it is going to be ST. Why make the commitment? You may not want to keep her. But, if all goes really well, the girl may want to stay on her own accord and you will know you have a good one, or the two of you can easily come to a new arrangement to make it an all nighter - another win win, or you can just make a date for another time. It's all good. If it did not go that well, you are probably much better off calling it a night or going back out and looking for another girl to do ST again. There are a ton of girls waiting for just you in the bars.

I am going to be back in Phnom in March. I am really looking forward to seeing the girls again.

There is a bar at the corner opposite of Shanghai bar. I don't remember the name, but it is a hostess bar with live music open 24 hours. Does anyone know if the girls are available for take outs?

It wasn't that way before*, but somehow has drifted into becoming the reality. Still, I don't' think we should necessarily go down without a fight. Or to just accept it happily. I think it's fair for us to still be annoyed by this. And I don't think the battle is permanently lost on this, there still is a chance that things revert to LT still being something that doesn't just equate to "I'm dumb and willing to pay double for ST";.)

My experience is that you just take a girl st and if it works out you repeat and soon she call herself your girlfriend and the 15-20$ are now the daily ransom and you can call her anytime but of course get service but you have to buy her a plate of rice sometime or a drink too.

Years ago almost every girl would stay over night and often the problem was getting her to leave in the morning. I think that was partly due to the number of bars available and those that did exist were usually closed early so there was little reason for the girl to leave also your accommodation was much more comfortable than hers. I am talking about he day when Sisowath Quay would be deserted by 10pm and the only place to go after midnight was Martini in its original location, happy days. OK there wasn't so much choice but at he same time there was no hard sell much more enjoyable than today.

Twice I partook at about 10pm, but had them back in their bar by 1am as both times I had something sweeter waiting for one, including once a bargirl from the Shanghai bar.

Theres one very cute girl in the bar, but she's a princess and knows its. Treats the other girls like shit and only smiles when a punter is buying drinks. The bar also attracts a few married expats who are taking the Cambodian "Mrs" out for a beverage. Its that or they liked 50 year old bg's. LOL
