One last FANTASTIC advantage of Asiana is their entertainment choices (and I'm not talking about the strolling stews). Typical seatback screens in economy, but check out the Korean movies. I'm a BIG fan of Korean TV series and Korean movies. Brilliant writing. I can't sleep on flights these days, but the Korean movies keep me entertained for the FULL flight. They provide a short written (English) abstract of the movie (English subtitles, I bring my glasses). I use my own headphones (one prong) along with the adapter for connecting to a plane's entertainment (2 prongs).

What are the odds I could find a doctor in Bangkok that I could bribe to get me a yellow fever exemption? Going to be visiting Nairobi for a bit where there's virtually no risk of yellow fever, but Thailand still requires a yellow fever vaccine certificate. Would like to throw some baht at the problem and be on my way. Should I just find a doctor out in the Issan region?

Upon my return, I had to get a form in the airport. No big deal.

Colombia requires it if you come from Brazil. I guess Thailand requires it if you come from some of the African countries.

It is good for 10 years so I doubt I'll need another. I got it as Costa Rica required it if you were flying in from Colombia. No issues not even any soreness. I know side effects will vary from person to person but I would not want to get caught with fraudulent travel documentation. I would rather risk the side effects than the possibility of a Thai lockup.

I don't go to the movies now days and watch most of the "current" movies on airlines. Most of the time I just read a book or listen to my music collection! Being old, I fall a sleep easily on the flights in the past, but now I have to get the circulation moving by standing and stretching. Once on the plane, I can zone out rather quickly.

Does anyone know how the new restaurants are on Soi 11? I see that there is a new Jamacian restaurant and a Moon Muum restaurant near Oskar. My favorite Mexican restaurant next to Oskar is now gone and replaced by a night club. Any other new restaurants on Soi 11? I was wondering how the food was in these new dining options. I am happy that the German Beerhouse up the street is still there as I enjoy eating there a couple of times while visiting BKK.

Additionally, I enjoy a cigar occasionally while on vacation and was wondering if there were any locations near Soi 11 that will allow smoking them. I noticed that the MJ dealers are dealing right on the street out of vans all over the city, so I hope people will be more tolerant of my cigars!
