Agreed! This is one of the reasons why any disease especially bacterial infection is so widespread in HK / China etc. When people are sick they go to the hospital for the IV drip, in which the doctor injects some antibiotics into the IV bag. Therefore, most of the bacteria, if not eradicated come back with a vengance and become resistant and harder to get rid of. Imagine everyone around China and Hong Kong with populations of 1. 4 billion and more living in close proximity, it just explodes the problem further. As a result, make sure you take your full course of at least 4-5 days or antibiotics to make sure your symptoms are eradicated before you stop.

This is also the leading reason why there are so many cases of Tuberculosis (aka:TB) in China. Once you have TB you will be quarantined in your country for at least 9 months with constant cocktails of several antibiotics which might cure you, so it's better to just be safe and stay healthy. Now there are cases of super TB in which the bacteria cannot be killed by any known antibiotics; as a result, you pretty much are screwed.

Also be warned that China Govt. Will cover up lots of these diseases and incidences as not to cause widespread fear and instability- as they did with SARS back in 2003, in which I was actually in China and HK when the first cases were discovered in Guangzhou.

So play it safe and stay healthy. That's my only advice.

This is addressed to the debate about Asians being charged for entry into Makati.

It is a standard charge applied to men who have Asian looks. Inc Chinese, Indian, pakistani, bangladeshi etc etc etc.

It is also applies to men (usually) who have dark skin. And always applies to visiting Navy (most of these guys are caucasian)

There are two primary reasons why there is a cover charge.

1) because Management considers this group of people spend little money in the bars

2) WL's in wanchai bars have a preference for European type looking men.

And this charge applies for most of the W / L bars. Makati, J-Forest, Neptune, Boracay, Traffic, Escape etc.

And as an Indonesian woman. I am always charged an entry fee to enter a club in Indonesia, whereas Caucasian guys get free admission. And the reason is that many Indonesians have little money to spend in a bar.

By saying that some of the 141 girls are comparable to macau sauna girls in terms of beauty etc does that mean in macau saunas you are less likely to find a larger spread of girls with the same level of beauty as on 141 which my instinct is telling me yes? I spent the weekend in HK and visited Neptune II on Sunday. An Asian guy was in front of me and the guy on the door said he had to pay HK150 to enter whereas I got in free. I agree it's wrong but that goes on everywhere in the world.

In Macau sauna what you see is what you get. We all take a punt as to the level of service / enjoyment no matter where we go. I don, t take into account the price factor as you go to Macau sauna for an overall fantasy-land experience.

You are not comparing apples with apples here. You are comparing apples with oranges.

Macau Saunas are establishments where the girls are trained to give customers good sexual services and techniques. Girls there are pretty good looking overall, but what they lack in their beauty they make up for in their skills.

However in 141 high end Hotel girls ranging from $700-1800 HKD, those girls are more like escorts than Sauna girls. Hotel escorts are just that, their service is limited and the sex is more of a GF type of sex experience. It's a hit or miss because most of the photos are photoshopped. Sometimes you find a gem and sometimes you get tricked by the photo. But one rule of thumb is expect the girl not to be as fair in their skin tone as that is one of the biggest photoshop techniques they use. In addition, notice that when they classify a B sized cup breast size expect it to be an A size. If it's a C cup than expect it to be a B size cup. But when they advertise a D cup, it's usually a pretty decently large C to smaller D cup size. Anything over D you can expect it to be pretty huge sized breasts!

For the value, Macau Saunas are better because you get a lot longer session than a 141 HK girl. 141 Hk girl have a time limit of 1 hour or less. Their goal is to serve as many customers as possible before their 1-2 week visas run out and they need to go back home. So you get more value at Macau Saunas, but with 141 girls sometimes you can find beautiful model class girls for the price you pay. In the $800 and up range.

Do I offer to buy these places or try to get them raided? Of course not. I do what Ralph sensibly says and live with it, and then go look for a place that is happy to greet me and my custom.

A single 1000mg dose of azithromycin (usually sold as zithromax in this part of the world) will wipe out standard cases of NSUs such as chlamydia, and also non-complicated cases of gonorrhea.

I fully agree with the basic premise that people shouldn't be taking small or single doses "just in case", or failing to complete a prescribed course, but your comment wasn't quite accurate.

One single dose may get rid of symptoms but will not cure the infection.

For some resistant strains a 7 (or even 14) day course of doxy is needed, but a single dose of zith will kill standard cases of NSU.
