Cartagena
Overall not a bad trip, had to move out of the Atlantis Penthouse and into 504 Mirador after first night, I don't recommend the Atlantis apartment I will leave it at that.
Some good stories most I can't share, well ok one story in a nutshell wingman sent 80 bucks to Medellin girl Western Union to meet him in Cartagena, the girl didn't show up he sat in his apartment already have taken his viagra and sporting wood. I damn near died laughing, I can't imagine any girl showing up after only getting 80 dollars, it is a net loss with the 2 taxis food and a one way ticket even taking VivaColombia.
Ok one more story the owner of a penthouse tried getting in a fight with Tony at the beach, too drunk to stand up, fell down several times, Tony had to dress him and carry him back afterward, apparently he left his computer out and one of Tony's girls took his laptop, fucking idiot.
Went to Playa Linda, Playa Blanca more on that later with pics.
September is supposed to be slowest month being rainy and such, rain hung over Centro and the main city most of the time I was there but not at the beach.
The Intercontinental is coming along maybe another year or so.
Tony was his usual self he tried to fill me in on all the bullshit but I already knew.
Overall quality of beach girls I would say was up from December the last I was there.
Hot as hell a few of the days I was there 100 plus heat index easy.
Some beach pics.
I rented 504 in Mirador from Mery for 60 a night a studio.
Hey Hillbilly, that is great, thats a bargain, but is el Mirador del laguito as nice as Palmetto, thats where I stayed at last time and my friend there in Cartagena hooked me up with it, Palmetto elyptic right across the street from the beach, I liked it because it was closer to the old town where all the action for guys like me whom like to pick up nice fresh girls (smile) , laguito seems dead on week days, what do you think?

Do what works for you, I saw a few new street rats in Laguito but during the day was mostly dead there, at night they would hang in front of Torres Del Lago, they seem to hang out at the newly built beach bar by Faos area by day in street clothes. Playa Linda
I took a boat to Playa Linda a remote beach about 15 minutes West of Laguito, took the boat from near entrance of the Hilton in Laguito.
Boat was 30k pesos per person each way so 60k pesos round trip per person, I used a guy named Edgardo.
Thatched cabanas on the beach are 20k pesos with chairs, a tout middled me for 20k so got lubed on that one after I asked the price 3 times.
Beers were small 1k peso bottled store beer that were 5k pesos each there.
Took a girl with me, still got bored out of my mind and found a pet rock to talk to. LOL.
The water was clear there a big improvement from Playa Hollywood, beach sand was white but small pea sized stones, no chics there but it was during the week.
Nicest 4 beaches in Cartagena area are in order of importance 1) Playa Blanca 2) Playa De Punta de Arena 3) Terra Bomba and 4) Playa Linda.
Boat driver told me lots of chics at Playa de Punta de Arena on weekends, might be worth a look.

Playa Blanca
I took a private boat a 24 foot v bottom with a cover and a 40hp motor to Playa Blanca, I used same guy that took me to Playa Linda the day before, Edgardo. I could have took the direct Boat from the Harbor for 50k pesos each but would have to be there by 8 am, boat leaves at 9am. Factoring in taxis 2 people it cost me 140k pesos more a total of 250k pesos to take my own boat there, but I can go and leave when I wanted. I left at 11am returned at 430pm, it took 45 minutes each way.
I was there 3 years ago but my batteries were all dead and only got a few pics from there.
I rented a Jet Ski for 50k pesos for 20 minutes which was pricey compared to Playa Hollywood but was fun.
We ate fish and salad which was 35k pesos per plate.
They rent small cabanas on beach there for 50k pesos per night which is basically a bed with a roof, I guess there is alot of hot chics here on weekend nights.
There was about 2 to 1 girls to guys there with the ugliest being about an 8.
Girl I was with rented a snorkel and mask for 10k pesos for an hour and messed around a small reef just off the beach.
The beach was white fine sand without stones and such, water pretty clear blue, it has a Gilligan's Island feel to the place.

Thanks for your great reports and advice by the way. I live in Bangkok and know it pretty well, but Cartagena is a first.

Pleasant coastal cities.
On the coast the should be cities that not are visited to any great extent by foreigners and that are pleasant to spent for some time in.
Anyone has been in such a place and have a recommendation, tips?
