If you re-read the original message, it wasn't Flora saying it, it was Viv (Or more likely the handler at EP). It's no tin EP's interest to arrange a duo when they only get their cut for one of the girls and not the other, which is why they likely said this.

I can confirm that they have never worked with each other and they don't know each other. I've only just seen your message so it is too late with regard to your question about the Saturday appointment.

For future reference I would say that it is not unusual with Flora to take a few hours to respond to messages, even when she is actively working (when not working it can take days). I'm therefore guessing you eventually got a response and she honoured your Saturday appointment.
