I know, but I'm still surprised that in those cases, the bolt prices is often much lower. I was booking grab back home for one girl some days ago, and suddenly the price was over 1,000 baht, after being the normal 200 baht or so some minutes before. Fortunately, on bolt it was still normal, so I've learned to check both apps.

Also booking "taxi meter" is almost always the cheaper choice, so that's what I would have done had I had to book grab, but I'm not 100% sure what would happen in those cases, as I think the "taxi meter" option was also showing the same crazy prices. I expect "taxi meter" would end up with a normal price, even though the estimate was showing the same crazy 1,000+ price.

One of them, after having seen her a couple of times and her discovering that I usually meet girls for coffee first on the first date, and not directly at my condo at night like her, started sulking about why she did not get any coffee, but other girls got coffee? She said that next time she wanted to meet in coffee shop first, but I had to tell her that ship has already sailed. Like I've said before: a normal looking European 5 with decent manners will in many cases still (though much less than before) instantly turn into a 7 in Thailand, and probably that's what I'm still surfing on. Lunch and meeting again later reminds of what is probably the best girl I ever met (really pretty, clever, educated, great english, great personality, etc. The one I should have married).
